There's not much to say about this rare find. First it's the only hotel within 50 miles of Fargo. The hotel has only four rooms. I called Kevin early May for a room. The way this hotel works is you call get a room ( they only take cash or check) don't blink when you go through Fargo or you... More

My girlfriend and I agree that our stay at the Gator Motel was absolutely wonderful! The room was a good size for two and a dog (and more, if we had it.) The motel is located a very short drive from the Okefenokkee Swamp (Stephen C. Foster National Forest entrance). The owner, Kevin, is easily one of the nicest guys... More

We stayed 2 nights at this motel while visiting Stephen C. Foster State Park. This is a vintage 70's motel that is in great condition and well maintained. We rented 3 of the 4 rooms available and each room was very clean and comfortable. Each room comes with a small refrigerator, microwave and television. The air conditioner works great and... More

Stayed 1 night at the Gator Motel in Fargo, GA while touring Stephen C. Foster State Park. The room was very clean and comfortable, and Kevin Hart, the owner, made me feel like I was staying in my brother's guest house. Nice!

We had packed camping gear thinking that was going to be our choice as we tracked down friends who were portaging their canoe from St. George to Fargo on Route 94 as part of a 1,200 mile circumnavigation of FL. We drove by the Gator Motel and saw a truck so pulled in. Kevin the owner was there and was... More

This place is out there at the edge of the Okeefanokee Swamp and a great value esp over the local cabin rentals. The owner is very accommodating as we were going to get there late. It is small town and he made arrangements for us. We were happy to be close to the swamp for our day trip and the... More

Yes, its as the other reviewers say; very clean and comfortable, and very close to the park. It's kinda cool (I have a photo of me in front of the sign). And amazing value. On a Sunday there aren't any places in town to eat but the petrol station accross the road has a good supply of provisions. The powerful... More

We were looking for a place to stay near the boat launch at the Suwanee River Visitor Center. This was the only motel for miles around. We were pleasantly surprised by this rustic old style four room motel. We found our room to be quiet, clean and spacious. The air conditioner kept the room cool, the bathroom water pressure was...
