Absolutely beautiful buildings with stunning views. Very friendly and welcoming owners/staff. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable room and clean, modern en suite bathroom. Took a morning walk around the grounds which were really really lovely. Great value for money, would definitely recommend and will stay stay again if we're in the area.
We stayed at this lovely B&B for 9 nights in late April. Veronique is a very gracious host and her assistant Yasmina was so pleasant. The breakfasts served in the "orangerie" overlooking the grounds were superb. Fresh baked croissants, breads, pastries, fruit cups, cold meats, cheese, yogurts, jams, fresh fruit and cereals were all delicious. We were also offered a choice of cooked eggs each day and served apple juice from their own orchard. Our final breakfast coincided with their monthly brunch so we were delighted to be able to experience it! This brunch/meeting room is at the end of the B&B wing and is a beautiful setting for a small gathering. We chose the lovely Cendrine room on the ground floor which had large windows overlooking the inner courtyard. It was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom offered a shower which we prefer. The wifi connection was very strong. The buildings and property were spectacular and such a very peaceful setting in the Lierde countryside. We enjoyed walks around the grounds and also in the neighbouring countryside and small villages. Veronique was so very helpful in recommending restaurants, making reservations for us and giving advice and directions for our sightseeing in the area. We dined at the de Stille Droom (15 minute walk), The Shake in Brakel - 5 min drive and Restro Belle Vue in Geraardsbergen. They were all delicious dining experiences and we need to go back to try the other dozen restaurant recommendations on her list! My husband was born in Ninove which is a pleasant 20 minute drive from Eyckenmolen. It was nice to have this home base when visiting his many cousins in the area. It was fun to know that we were the very first Canadian guests to stay at the B&B. We are looking forward to staying here again on our return visits to Belgium!…
We visited very close friends in Lierde for 2 nights, and they suggested we stay here. Our remodeled bedroom with its own bathroom was large and comfortable, and overlooked the private courtyard garden of this old farm which now has beautiful plantings. Veronique hosted two very nice breakfasts with typical Flemish cheese, meat and breads. The food is served in her "Orangerie"--a glass enclosed dining area that takes advantage of views of the countryside--the property sits on a small hilltop with very scenic rural views. She cooked me an omelet too. She is a very gracious host. We would return anytime.
We stayed three guys in the Tour of Flanders period and loved it. Veronique and her husband are excellent hosts and the castle-like house is charming and nicely decorated. It is very suitable for people on bikes with good facilities for storing the bikes. Thanks for a great stay! See you again some day.
