This was a horrible experience. I rarely take time to write reviews but others deserve to know. These are a few of the issues. There was only hot water in sink. The air didn't work. It was 77 when we woke up. The next day someone did come to repair. The TV didn't work. I was advised that they were working on the TV system. On the day of check out, there was no water in the hotel. Nobody reached out to advise that they were turning the water off. They turned off the water to the entire hotel without notice. We were not able to use shower or restroom or wash hands prior to checking out. When I expressed my concerns to front desk, they offered me a bottle of water. 5 years ago, this was a very nice place. It is now horrible. I will not be back.
Never heard of the chain, it's world wide. Like the staff very friendly, professional and helpful. Observed their interactions with guests I was impressed. The room was nice not noisy although the hotel was to capacity with a teen party booked. This is a great place for wedding they have ballrooms galore. I did not sample the restaurant they only open Monday to Wed. It did need some updates, stains on carpet, rooms have outdated carpet. Sink was stopped up a bit. They came promptly to fix. Little updates will go along way in keeping them competitive. It's close to a lot of restaurants and bars in area. Liked the lobby area it had charging stations. I was please with my stay, wished they had airport shuttle but ride apps are good. Pleasant stay ☺
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Don’t know where to start. No hot water for showers. I have been here for 4 days with no one ever cleaning or even bringing new towels and wash rags. Had to go get my own towels and toilet paper. Bar closes at whatever time it feels like—never know the time. And on the last evening, I had some food delivered and needed silverware and no one could help me get any—front desk or anyone. I cannot find one good thing to say about this place. You should not waste your hard earned money here. Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!!
Don’t get a room on floors 9-17. When elevators are down too bad. There is another set of elevators far away that only go to 1-8. Guest services not available and you can’t call down to main desk if there is a problem. Poorly staffed also. No ice bucket in room.
READ IN ITS ENTIRETY TO SEE WHATS HAPPENING AT SONESTA THESE DAYS! My husband and I are currently staying here for our last night but I could not resist writing my review before we left. The location of this hotel is amazing! But that is about all that is amazing about this hotel. The lobby area is nice and inviting but the staff is not. The hotel has a gift shop that is halfway stocked. We checked in on Friday. After getting our room key, we stepped into an elevator that made us very uneasy. The elevator looked like it had been torn apart: the doors stayed cracked open after closing, the emergency phone box was open, one of the ceiling tiles was pushed up, and that is just to name a few major things, but we had to use it because we are on the 17th floor. I tried looking for the Elevator Inspection Certificate card to see if it was safe but there was not one to be found. Rooms are super outdated. Before leaving the room this morning, we asked Room Service for more towels and new bed sheets. When we came back to the hotel tonight, we were greeted at the elevators by a long line because there is only ONE WORKING elevator. I looked for an Elevator Inspection Certificate card in this elevator and I FOUND ONE! The elevator had not been inspected since October 2020 and was due for another one in October 2021 (which is probably why all of the elevators are in need of servicing). When we got to the room, we could see that Room Service did not meet any of our requests. We called the front desk to get more sheets brought up to us and Bhatti at the front desk was very dismissive of us and told us to come down (17 FLOORS with 1 WORKING elevator) to get our own towels and sheets. As I was getting off of the elevator, I saw two other guests doing the same thing because room service never serviced their rooms. NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GETS FUN... As I waited 15 minutes for the elevator, I was talking to other guests and learned that people got stuck in one of the broken elevators on Thursday causing someone to hurt their hip. Apparently, there is new management that is simply just not handling things appropriately. Will NOT be staying here again and I do NOT and will NOT recommend Sonesta to anyone else. They should be giving guests discounts to stay here.…
Made arrangements to come to the hotel. Asked the person on the phone check in policy. Told them that weather was bad and I was enroute. When I arrived I was told that the system was Rebooting and that I had to wait 2 hours after being on the road for 11 hours during an ice advisory. When asked for a blanket to wait on the lobby, she said no but she would call me when the siren comes up. This room was paid for prior to arrival so I didn’t understand why it wasn’t available if in fact that it was paid for and the business was told at 1am that I was coming just bare with me ,” I'm not use to driving in your weather!” It was horrible treatment and I do not recommend and will not return. Who actually pays for a room and not show up? The lady said oh you would be surprised.
The provider answering the reservations line stated the hotel would provide shuttle to/from airport and breakfast which was not the case. The obviously were unaware of the rate given our group, so my decision to patronize this hotel was ill-informed. Additionally, the television service for many rooms it totally messed up in that channel numbers and content are not correct, we had NO NEWS FEED for 3 days. The staff tried several times to fix the problems but were unable. The staff again blamed the problems on the provider. KUDOS to Daisy, Farlena, & Skip for their efforts to satisfy the systemic Reservations and Television problems...Management should get busy!
Daisy was so nice enough to get me the suite at higher floor so that view of the surrounding was beautiful. I had stayed at terrace level but wanted to change to higher floor so that I could see the sceanery.
Extremely rude front desk all weekend. When they bothered to acknowledge you, they gave short answers and turned away. We pulled up to unload and were told we needed to move and couldn’t unload. The event was great due to the committee sponsoring-the hotel was terrible.
Attention! The people who think about staying this hotel. You are NOT welcome unless you are the members of Amazon (yes, that Amazon). The main entrance is blocked by reception of the Amazon exhibition. The regular customers like you, will have to pull the heavy side door with your hands and enter the building even you have suitcases or carrying personal staffs on your shoulders. There's no enough cart available at main entrance area. (Maybe Amazon using). Again they don't care regular customers. Amazon only!
