So loved staying at Open Gates B&B. It really was quite by luck I found this little gem. Zach and Carrie have made this B&B absolutely gorgeous and apart from being so welcoming, make the best breakfasts ever. We had planned Savannah as a stop to North Carolina but changed plans and stopped in Darien. It’s the tiniest little historical town with a few wonderful businesses and well worth a visit. We loved it so much we decided to stay again on our way back to Florida.

We stayed one night two different times. On our way to Florida and back from Florida for vacation. This was our mid point stop to relax and get some rest. To our surprise, the breakfast was outstanding! Amazing gourmet crepes with bacon, pastries and fruit! Zach and his wife are great hosts. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone wanting a little getaway. Quaint town and a small chocolate shop across the street make this place a gem. Thanks again!

Open Gates is a beautiful home with excellent food and surroundings. We choose this B and B for the breakfast menu. We were not disappointed! Zach gave us a map of the area and suggested places to eat, coffee shop, and wine bar. Everything was within walking distance. We stayed 3 nights. We visited Fort King George State Park just down the road and Hofwyll Broadfield Plantation Historic Site. Both were very interesting. At the Sapelo Island Visitor's Center we hiked a trail and enjoyed the views. We also drove the short distance to Jekyll Island and spent the day exploring the sites there. On the way home we stopped at Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge and walked to the bird pond and the wood stork pond. Lots of wildlife to observe. We saw 3 alligators in the Wood pond. Wonderful and relaxing trip!
