Detailed Reviews
The room was outdated some but definitely clean. Check in was really easy. The gentleman at the front desk even helped us take our luggage to our room without us even having to ask for help. Breakfast was muffins, pastries, bagels and cereals. Quite adequate.

Great staff and location. Carpet was tacky and dirty, spider webs on pictures and in the corners. A good cleaning of the carpets and rooms would go a long way to boosting the appeal of this location. Disappointed. I haven't stayed in a Days Inn in a long time. I was hoping for better since Wyndham added their name to the branding.

The location can't be beat! The views out the back windows are gorgeous.
There is no elevator, and when I checked in early, when there were only two cars in the lot, I asked for a first floor room and was told I couldn't have one. I guess you need to request an accessible room if they even offer them. I tried to limit my trips out, to avoid those steep stairs.
The hotel was very basic. The bedding was small (the blanket barely reached both sides of the mattress even when no one was in it) and thin. The pillows, though, were good and there were a lot of them! The a/c worked well and the shower was good. I wish there was more lighting. The room was very dark.
When I checked out, the manager chewed me out with a lecture about how using a third party booking agent (like trip advisor) was harmful to the business owners and America.

Three good things I can say are that the location is terrific, the staff was wonderful, and it was clean.
The short version of criticism is that this facility is easily 30 years in need of a remodel. Several AC Outlets don't work. No USB ports. Drains were s-l-o-w to drain. Plumbing repairs were poor DIY attempts. The exhaust fan wanted to blast off for orbit. The room door opens to the parking lot and allows light, noise, and outside smoking seep in. The bathroom door was replaced with a cheap closet door and mismatched knob, undoubtedly on clearance from the local five and dime. (thanks Roberta! IYKYK)
This is a near-premium location for a College and Tourist town that has year-round appeal. I paid $125 a night plus 30% tax and i'd estimate it was worth half that. If not for the staff efforts and the clean sheets and towels, i'd give it 1 star. With some capital improvements, they could reasonably charge much more.

Dear Graham, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay with us. We’re genuinely pleased to hear that you enjoyed the location, cleanliness, and the efforts of our wonderful staff. We truly appreciate your recognition of our team's hard work and the prime location of our hotel. However, it’s clear from your feedback that several aspects of your stay were far from ideal, and for that, we sincerely apologize. We understand that our facility is showing signs of age, and while we do our best to maintain it, we recognize that it is long overdue for renovations. Your comments about the outdated infrastructure—non-functioning AC outlets, lack of USB ports, slow-draining sinks, and the less-than-ideal plumbing—are concerning, and we are sorry for the inconveniences this caused during your stay. We also take note of your frustration with the bathroom door and exhaust fan, and we regret that these issues detracted from your overall experience. We appreciate your humorous mention of the bathroom door situation, and while we’re glad you could maintain a sense of humor about it, we take your concerns seriously. We agree that these details reflect a need for substantial improvements. Your feedback is valuable in helping us prioritize areas that require immediate attention. We’ll be sharing your observations with our maintenance and management teams to ensure that these issues are addressed properly. Your feedback regarding the room’s door opening to the parking lot, allowing for light, noise, and smoke intrusion, is also concerning. We recognize that our guests expect a restful, comfortable environment, and we apologize that we did not meet this expectation. We understand your feelings regarding the value of your stay. You’re right—our location in such a popular college and tourist area gives us a unique opportunity, and with the right capital improvements, we could certainly offer a more premium experience. We are continuously looking into ways to enhance our facilities and provide our guests with accommodations that are truly worth the cost. We appreciate your acknowledgment that the staff's efforts and the cleanliness of the room helped improve your stay. We are committed to making improvements, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future to show you the positive changes we are working toward. Thank you again for your detailed feedback—it is through reviews like yours that we can continue to grow and improve. Warm regards, Guest Services

The bathroom and guest room carpets are not clean at all. Some major cleaning needs to happen at this location. I expect better from Wyndham and Days Inn on hotel appearance and cleanliness. Staff tried to make it better, but I just wanted to cancel and leave. We did leave and are trying to get our points back through Wyndham.

Fantastic customer service. Hassan and Devon make you feel at home. My father has been coming to dahlonega for many years and stays here every time. They welcome them and treat them like family. On my visit they remembered my name and my favorite room that I prefer to stay in. True southern hospitality. It almost feels like you are staying at a friends house rather than a hotel. Ladies who clean the room are always smiling and seeing if you need anything. They all truly love there job and it shows.

From check in to check out it was a very pleasant experience. All of the staff were helpful, cheerful and willing to make our stay a wonderful experience. We received a map with our room cards, the gentleman pointed out areas of interest and told us if we needed any additional help just let him know. The breakfast bar was well stocked and coffee was excellent. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. Thanks for a great stay.

Great hospitality from all staff members. The location was very quiet and a short distance from restaurants, North Georgia College and the Dahlonega Square. The roams were very clean with plenty of fresh towels and bath cloths. The beds were very comfortable. It was a great place to stay and our family enjoyed the hotel. We will definitely stay here again on future trips.

The room had multiple issues including a one-inch hole in the tub/shower floor. The toilet seat was not secured. The door threshold had a gap of at least a half an inch. Torn sheetrock; hole in the curtain; smoke detector hanging off its mount.

If they let you have that many people in a room it would be tight. I would make sure to reserve the roll away ahead of time.
Kids under 16 stays free with parents. Maximum occupants allowed in a room is 4 including kids. Hope this answers your question. Thanks
We are sorry but we do not have a roll in shower.
