I had driven Hwy 52 dozens of times crossing north Georgia before I discovered this jewel just 12 miles from the square in Dahlonega, GA. Rooms in the Bear's Den Lodge were very reasonable and the amenities were exceptional. On the edge of the resort, it was quiet, comfortable, and just delightful. There is a kitchen with everything you would... More

My husband and I have stayed at Forrest Hills seven times, mostly for anniversaries. We love it! It is cozy and quaint and the perfect place to unwind and spend time with your spouse. We recommend the luxury cabins. A perfect day is breakfast at the Secret Garden, a hike up Amicola Falls, lunch on the Dahlonega Square, shopping, dinner... More

My husband and I visited Forrest Hills for our anniversary. Before arriving we got a call confirming our arrival time and dinner plans. The resort offers separate dining for adults which was very nice. The grounds offer walking trails, a guest pool, horseback riding, and a country general store. It would be nice if they at some point upgrade to a... More

I am awfully upset with any and everyone that posted a bad review about this place. My husband and I had the most awesome time ever at Forest Hill-- I just actually finished one of the homemade cookies given in the free picnic lunch! Not only was it relaxing , it was peaceful, beautiful and serene.. The cabin was LOVELY... More

I took a very impulsive and short trip up to Dahlonega. I read a lot of reviews because like everyone else, I was concerned and I wanted the best experience for us possible. I called and spoke to Mary, and I expressed to her my feelings about the reviews. I explained that I had read reviews concerning the cleanliness of... More

My daughter was having a concert in nearby Dahlonega so all the family got a couple rooms at Forrest Hills. This is a great place to stay fairly close to town without staying at a chain by the main drag. For the price, it's not a bad place to stay at all. It's not the Ritz, but you're not paying... More

My experience at Forrest Hills was not bad, but it was expensive for what it was. The room was clean and larger than a hotel, but older than the pictures online showed, and my shower did not work at all. When I reported the shower to staff, they simply thanked me for telling them but did not offer to fix... More

I only regret that we only planned to sleep here. Next time I will definitely plan more time to enjoy the other amenities! The staff is incredible from the front desk staff, all the way to the nice man in the kitchen who made our pizza after the dining room was already closed! It isn't modern, but it isn't meant... Our cabin had obviously been recently renovated. The linens were nice, hot tub was great, furniture was very comfortable. We were in the area for the wedding and ended up having some friends stop by. It was very nice to have the large couch in the living room area and the porch with swing to visit. It does look very... More
