This was the highest ranked place I have ever stayed at, and for good reasons, it’s super clean , the tiny home ( shipping containers) we stayed in were amazing! The staff was great and the facilities are close to everything but still have beautiful views! I would highly recommend this place to couples or adult groups for a weekend get away!

Barefoot Hills is a wonderful location for your visit to North Georgia. My husband and I stayed in the Log Cabin Suite for our anniversary trip. The suite was clean and cozy. The entire property is well maintained and the location is central to the best that area has to offer. Downtown Dahlonega is about six miles so you are close to shopping and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. They are dog friendly and welcomed of our little dog as one of the guests. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Superb location for spending the day at wineries, downtown Dahlonega, or just hiking around the hotel area. We rented the entire compound for an overnight getaway, and it was fantastic! Each person/group had their own room. We spent the entire evening by the firepit. Amazing views from the main deck, as well. The staff were extremely helpful in getting us sorted in advance. We highly recommend Barefoot Hotel to everyone!

Our visit was a couple of years ago. I've decided to finally write a review when I could do it without using foul language. Beautiful location. That's all the positive. Negative, breakfast was a few processed bars, semi coffee. At one point no water for showers, toilet, etc. TV was just wall art, useless to check the news or anything else. The ONLY thing the manager wanted was a great review, which he mentioned multiple times. By now we use this experience as the baseline for how bad can it get.

Clean rooms, very helpful staff, wonderful views. Highly recommend their hiker package which includes shuttles and a bunk for the night, extremely helpful to the aspiring A.T. hiker. I intend to use their service again.

My girlfriend and I did a hiking trip and overnighted at the Barefoot Hills hotel. Clean rooms with coffee maker, small fridge and microwave. Very close to Dahlonega as well. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in the Deluxe Eco Cabin. We loved the cabin and the beautiful view of the mountains right outside it. I loved waking up to that view each morning. Amazing! All levels of hiking are close by (for me, having the AT easily accessible was wonderful). Plenty of good restaurants in nearby Dahlonega gave us excellent choices for dinner and lunch. I rated Barefoot Hills a 4 but it’s more of a 4.75. I wished we could have had a few more amenities in the kitchen (a toaster, cutting board, knife, and some dishwashing liquid would have been good). Javi did track down a toaster when we asked for one but having it there on arrival would have been better. Also, we would have appreciated assistance carrying our luggage, etc. to the cabin as it’s a fairly long trek on an uneven path. Overall, we absolutely love this place and definitely plan to return!!

They have the nicest staff, the place is conveniently located to downtown Dahlonega, and, well, the containers are just...neat. Everything you need, ,nothing you don't, very clean, and seriously comfortable bed. We will definitely stay here again when we need to spend the night in that area.

Hostel said that it was close to shopping, but neglected to say that it was close by car. We got a ride from the trail with another hiker who agreed to drive us three miles to the grocery store. That's too far to walk when you're trail weary.
