So happy I found this place! The room was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and the view was magnificent. The room was amazing, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Will be back. It was a great experience!!!
We came upon this place by accident and I’m so glad we did. The property is amazing, the views are incredible. Lauren and Justin are so welcoming and are the perfect hosts. We stayed in one of the converted storage units with a large deck offering privacy and gorgeous views. We had coffee at sunrise and drinks at sunset on our deck. Inside the decor was cozy and updated in farmhouse chic. The whole place was very clean and inviting. There’s a fire pit and s’mores available near the lodge. Breakfast is served in the lodge each morning. Craft beers and wine are for sale. There are several different cabin options that are so cute and cozy and lovely room options in the main lodge. We can’t wait to go back!
Visited the Dahlonega area to look for a summer home near the mountains. My wife Karen and I did not want to stay in the local chain hotels so we decided to stay at Barefoot Hills. It was a great decision. The room accommodations and local staff were exceptional and very professional. We will stay at Barefoot Hills the next time we visit. We highly recommend this property!
We chose to stay at Barefoot Hills, because we were on a weekend AT hiking trip. We stayed in a double room that was clean, decorated cute, and perfect size for us. The staff helped us plan out hike and shuttled us to the trail. This was beyond our expectations. Thank you, Barefoot Hills, for making our weekend fabulous.
Our first visit to Dahlonega, first drive through North GA Mountains in 30+ years and wanted a unique place rather than the usual chain hotel. Discovered Barefoot Hills on line and the description and price was very attractive for a 1-night stay. The rustic looking cabin was very comfortable with a nice queen bed, furniture and accessories. The cabin had a small porch with table and chairs and there is other furniture in nearby common areas. Perfect for 2 and the breakfast provided in the main lodge building, just a few steps from our cabin door, was a nice touch. A mountain cabin, but with heat and AC and a modern bathroom.15 minute drive to the town square on a typical winding mountain road but it is well maintained and marked. Our host greeted us upon arrival, served our breakfast and was eager to help in any way. She also made it clear as to how to contact her if she was not on the property at certain times. While we were there for just 1 evening, that area has many activities year around attracting visitors from all over the Southeast who prefer a bit more peace and calm than Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, etc.…
