Stayed here recently, a quiet hotel in beautiful grounds, and lovely river. Staff all very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little bit isolated and away from towns and with just a quiet and near empty bar to sit in at night it may not be to everybody liking.

This hotel is situated off the south Deeside Road in its own grounds and right next to the river with its beautiful surrounds.Parts of the building date back to the twelve hundreds and the Knights Templar and in the appearance of the hotel and also in the Public areas this atmosphere is perpetuated, with the residents lounge worthy of special... What a delightful hotel. Not The newest or flashiest of hotels but this was a wonderful place to stay. Not far from Aberdeen and right on the edge of the River Dee with a golf course just impoverished the river. The food was excellent and where the friendly staff. What amazed me was the fact that the rooms where so... More

Thank you so much to the hotel for hosting our wedding day. Perfect sums it up. No issues, no hiccups, staff attentive, meal FABULOUS, setting AMAZING, The hotel is historic and the setting by the Dee makes the day but without the amazing, and I mean amazing, staff it would not be the place it is. Can't fault this hotel apart from one of the doorways on a first floor corridor is a little low and bending down to miss it is a mild inconvenience for those over 6ft tall. If you are slightly shorter, you are going to love this place. Not too far from Aberdeen. Feels like the middle of nowhere, but still keeps... More

We had a lovely day here for a friend's wedding. The location on the river bank is stunning - and the service at the Wedding breakfast was truly impressive - everyone's meal served simultaneously table by table and they knew who was having what. Food was excellent too. Altogether a really lovely place for a wedding. We will be back... More

We were here for a family wedding & found it to be a perfect spot on the banks of the Dee seeped in Knights Templar history. Very attentive staff, great meal, clean rooms, and a great spot to hold a wedding! Waitress was overwhelmed by number of people, so service was a bit slow, but food made up for it. Went from Canada to attend the wedding
