From sales to banquets and reception, everyone was quick to answer, personable and accommodating. We booked a staff retreat with several rooms, and all day meeting. The food was excellent, the banquet team service was OUTSTANDING all the ladies (2 from Egypt and one Dominican) were excellent, always attentive and respectful.
The set-up was timely and exactly as requested. No complaints. We will be back

This lodge is conveniently located on Lanier Island surrounded by beautiful lake views and easy access to the Margaritaville attractions. Our stay was amazing and the staff were amazing. The room was clean and the food was great. My one and only issue is there are no microwaves or options to upgrade to rooms that include them. For the amount of money we are spending and the remote location of the lodge, there should be a microwave option. Some of us like to heat up the leftovers from dinning with you all. However, beyond this, I have no complaints. I will definitely be recommending this lodge to my clients as well as marking this as a “Must Visit” location on the social travel app I am launching.

It’s great to hear you enjoyed your stay at Lanier Islands, and the service of our team. Regarding microwaves, our Villas and Lakehouses do include them, so the option to upgrade does exist – I will pass this along internally regarding the Lodge, though. We hope to see you again soon!

I like that they validate for the cost of getting into Lake Lanier Islands and it's in a great location on the lake. I wish there were more plugs and the water got hot sooner, if ever but it was a nice, clean room and the staff were great. Pretty venue for a wedding but so many steps.

We stayed here as part of a bridal party, during the covid pandemic. Despite this, the wedding still went on, and they had precautions in place per required regulations. The wedding went off without a hitch and we had a great time. The venue was pretty, the food and open bar were great, and I’ll always remember the wonderful event.

The accommodations however are a different story. Terrible and outdated!!

We stayed in the villas which are considered an upgrade. If this is an upgrade, I shudder to think about how awful the hotel is!! The decor is outdated and quite frankly, really ugly. The rooms had no WiFi-how is this even possible in 2020? The shower water takes at least 5-7 min to get hot. The air conditioning can’t be adjusted and some rooms run ice cold, others scalding hot (I was in several rooms since the whole bridal party stayed here.) Some or the room ceiling fans work, others don’t.

Then there’s the actual service. Granted a lot was closed due to covid, but not one restaurant was offering breakfast or coffee to go. To eat, we needed to go to Starbucks 20 min off the property. For lunch, a couple places were open but offering pick up only, no delivery. Super convenient for a bridal party in the throes of hair and makeup and photos! So we went without lunch...

In the middle of the day, I called about maid service. There was none due to covid. So I kindly asked if someone could send fresh towels, K cups for the keurig, disposable coffee cups, and toilet paper since we ran out. Never got any of it. But they definitely didn’t forget to swing by in the middle of the night to leave our bill under the door!!

Expressed displeasure with front desk twice during our stay and was told a manager would contact me. Shocker, he never did! But I did talk to him at checkout and he didn’t care, all I got was “Gotcha, gotcha, uh huh, uh huh.... well maybe you should come back when we are fully open to experience our resort when everything is running.”

No thanks!! For a $515 two night stay I expect at least some toilet paper, and didn’t even get that. Go elsewhere if you want a true resort instead of a motel-6 experience!

Our group stayed in several of Legacy Lodge rooms, Villas, & Lake Cottages.
Each member, of our groups accommodations, were exceptionally clean, comfortable, & had great views! The staff was very friendly & wonderful to all of us.
We stayed in celebration, of my son & daughter in law's wedding. The staff made their wedding so beautiful & absolutely amazing! Their wedding ceremony venue was, at their the gorgeous Peachtree Falls location, with their an amazing wedding reception, at their enormously large and beautiful Grand ballroom. Their Magnolia Banquet room, was perfect, for their rehearsal dinner. Legacy Lodges restaurants, as well as, wedding rehearsal dinner banquet meals were all delicious!!! The view, of the sunset, from the Magnolia room was gorgeous!
Every time I entered their lodge, one or two door/ valet persons greeted me, opened one or both of their entrance doors , as well as, when I exited the lodge.
Our entire group's overall experience was exceptional & above 5 stars, in every single way!

Expect to pay a lot and realize that is going mainly toward being in a pretty resort.. For the price, it is ridiculous that you are assigned a random cabin only at check in. Cabins are different...some are crammed in without privacy and all by the gate have to put up with Margaritaville music ALL DAY LONG. It ended after 11pm. The amenities were not provided to us until the last minute. For a dinner reunion for two cabins of 16 family members from across the US we discovered we had no oven. Paying over $630 a night and no oven. Amazing. Check in and out processes were a big confusion, amenities were not provided, inside reservation staff provided half answers to our panicked questions as we were discovering we would not have the cabin we asked for and did not have basic amenities to cook a meal. Would we go back again? Not sure. The resort itself is pretty. I think basically it is very overpriced to stay in the cabins and ridiculous that you cannot chose a specific cabin even when you call 6 months+ early.

The Villas are nice, however the resort stated on multiple occasions about the full cleaning & sanitation being performed of the rooms, however we identified things like Dust Build-Up on light fixtures and Lamp Shades, so obviously the cleaning was Not as Thorough as mentioned because that amount of dust was built-up over time.

The Villas are in a Gated area, but the Parking is HORRIBLE as it was extremely crowded with cars and golf carts.
So I highly recommend they expand the area to provide more organized parking.

I recommend they get rid of all the out-dated furniture (couches and side chairs) because the furniture looked very old.

Lastly, they Need to add some clear light bulbs to brighten the rooms when needed.

Except for the bathroom lighting which had normal lighting, all other rooms in our villa only had "Amber" low level lighting.

It would have been great to have dimmers with the option to lighten the rooms and dim lighting as needed.

The overall grounds are Nice!

My husband and I enjoyed our relaxing summer getaway to Legacy Lodge. The lodge itself and the property are absolutely beautiful.

Although there is a tram to take guests from the lodge to the water park, marina, restaurants... we found that having a golf cart to get around was the way to go. We reserved our golf cart in advance through the Legacy Lodge website, but we met people who reserved theirs through a local rental company for less money. The golf cart had Bluetooth so we were able to listen to our music while exploring the beautiful resort. There are lots of cords to plug in to charge.

We did not go to the Saturday Night Seafood Buffet, but we did enjoy breakfast at Sidney’s. We ate most meals at Bullfrogs Bar & Grill. The food was very good at reasonable prices. The staff work so hard; we saw the same people working morning, noon, and night (government paying people to stay home). Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the amazing staff.

We loved the Sunday Brunch Cruise with endless Mimosas. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The boat left right in time. I would recommend arriving a little early to choose your table. Be ready to share a table and make new friends. The bar is located on the upper outside deck, there are several tables and chairs under the covering from the sun or rain near the bar, and some tables and chairs without covering. The lower deck is inside. There you’ll find two restrooms, the buffet, and more tables and chairs. There are plenty of windows to enjoy the view, but it gets crowded as everyone lines up in the middle for the buffet. Be sure to tip your bartender and food service workers.

We didn’t play golf or go into the water park while we were there, but the course is beautiful and the water park looked like a lot of fun. Everything was busy on Saturday and Sunday, but very quiet during the week. The pool was also crowded on the weekend.

The views are stunning. We loved watching the sunset each night.

My Wish List: I wish the lobby bar was open each night and I wish there was activities for the kids and teens. They hung around the pool, and pool table and foosball table, it would have been nice if the bar area or a convention room was used for movies and popcorn or organized activities. We had some off and on rainy afternoons and evenings, and I felt bad for the kids that had nothing to do.

Huge disappointment. I was booked to stay here for 3 nights, by the end of the second day, my kid began to develop a cough in the late afternoon/evening that we feared was covid. In order to quickly respond (get my son checked the following day) and be courteous to the other guests for fear of getting anyone else sick, my wife and I spoke to the front desk to let them know we were leaving first thing in the morning and would stay in our rooms to quarantine in the mean time. We were told and given a guarantee that as long as we check out early in the morning that the 3rd night would be refunded. I’ve tried to get refunded since for months and been denied. We do the right thing by leaving and get penalized for it after being told by Not one but two front desk employees. Clearly this hotel doesn’t honor their word so I will not be returning nor will my family friends or colleagues.

This was our 3rd trip to Lanier Islands, first since Margaritaville took over and first for winter activities. The hotel seems just a little worse for the wear to include what seemed to be a leaking roof near the elevator. The room was nice with fridge tho no microwave. The beds were comfy. Otherwise, it was a tiny room especially for 4 (2 adults and 2 tweens). The bathroom could barely hold 2 people. The only closet was in the bathroom and could barely hold our jackets. The Magical Night of Lights were awesome. I wish there was no oncoming traffic as the headlights distracted. We got to experience the License to Chill Park for a few hours the first night after check in. Good thing as it rained the rest of the stay and we didn't get to go back. There was some disagreement about refunding the cost of tickets as we had a "package". First we were told no refund, then that we would get a refund of the full value of $35 each. At check out we had a $79 rebate (for 4). Turns out they charge less for admission tickets at hotel so we actually got $29 each. Staff was all around awesome. Since we ended up driving 45 minutes (in the rain) to see Star Wars and had dinner off property, I don't think I'd do it again. The cost was a lot more than I would have paid had I known that there was little to do at the "resort". FYI: the outdoor pool is heated and open 24/7. Wish we had known. Wish we had brought bathing suits. That was the only other thing to do besides sit in the room and watch $20 movies.
