After the pandemic I was worried that customer service would be extinct. My visit showed me this wasn’t true. From the beginning, Michael, was very nice and helpful making sure our trip was booked, to taking care of tiny details and wine tasting and tours. The moment we walked in, every person in the staff was making sure we were accommodated in whatever we wanted and needed, going above and beyond. We also participated in the culinary experience and had a delightful time. The chef was funny and insightful. We will be back and will recommend to anyone interested in visiting.
We stayed here for a weekend in April 2021 for a little getaway. The restaurants, rooms, and facilities were all nice. We had numerous issues with poor communication and signage. The signs around the property are hard to see if you arrive after dusk, so we went to the main building at the end of the driveway only to find that it wasn’t actually the hotel. The hotel is strangely off to the side. Poor signage would have been okay if we had ever seen a map anywhere of the property, but apparently that does not exist. We encountered at least two QR codes that did not work, including one that made it so we couldn’t see the list of restaurant times (note that things close earlier than seems reasonable for a hotel). There are not good paths or sidewalks for the area around the hotel, so you have to walk in the road to get to parking lots and restaurants. Navigating the property without good signage, maps, or sidewalks is difficult. We were also frustrated that the wine tasting we booked ahead online for a certain time was the same walk-in one you get at the winery counter. We would have done something different and rearranged our day if they had told us it didn’t have a set start time like our booking ahead said, and that it only involves about one sentence from the pourers as you get your 1.5 ounce glass. It was more a chose your own flight rather than what you expect a wine tasting to be. The wines were surprisingly good and we enjoyed sampling them, but the “wine tasting” we booked ahead was misleading. I would suggest to split a “wine tasting” with another person at Chateau Elan then stay at a different hotel with better communication. …
Excellent service and amenities. Beds were a little too firm, but other than that our stay was excellent and relaxing. Best restaurants and staff. Very clean resort and friendly staff willing to help you within.
We enjoyed the many amenities on property and felt like we had found a European resort right here in the south. The activities program, winery, culinary school, spa, and variety of dining experiences gave us so much to choose from. (We’ll have to come back at a warmer time of year to enjoy the pool!) We had EXCEPTIONAL service at every encounter: Chasity at Louis’ bar, Anthony at Versailles and Jessie at Marc. Top notch, authentic and attentive service. The culinary class was a highlight, with Chef Chad and wine expert Amy bringing their knowledge and talent together to form a memorable, fun, and delicious experience. We look forward to a return visit!
We had a great stay at Chateau Elan. It was our first time and we were impressed from the entrance to the resort. What an entry way on Tour De France. Edd Karlan, DOS, greeted us at the entrance of the resort. As the leader of the resort, he exemplifies the spirit of hospitality. We loved the food and service at Varesailles, MARC, and Le Petit. The bar / lounge at LOUIS felt comfortable with soft seating. We were there Saturday evening and they had a saxophone player and DJ. Great atmosphere. The mayor of the resort, KORAY was very helpful and a true professional. Michael Steven was very personable and took care of our needs. Nashant provided amazing service as well. Thank you to Mr. Karlan as he continues to build and develop a winning service Team! WE WILL BE BACK!
