For my 11th Anniversary, I booked a King Deluxe Suite and without any prior communication, I arrive at hotel and room had been down graded to a standard room... They said it was not their fault that I did not get my room because they only honor their direct bookings and don’t guarantee Bookings reservations even when confirmed...

Hotel room was ok but not for the price. Comparing to other 6 start hotels which charge less, I found Chatteau Ellans service and rooms below standard for such a price...

Also, they charge the hotel guests for parking but people coming for events were not charged for parking... Paying guests should have a designed lot if you are going to charge them and not others... They also charge a credit card fee for using a credit card for your rooms and charges... Did they really think anyone is going to bring that kind of cash?... Add up the credit card fee, resort, fee, and parking fee, they might as well charge $100 more per night... It may be a little easier to swallow instead of all the ridiculous fees... Felt more like being a mardi gras...

My husband and I attended the “Taste of Love” Valentine’s Day wine tasting event and were mighty perplexed by the entire experience... Never before in my wide travel and dining experiences have I been required to pre-pay for an event such as this one and I should listened to the little voice in my head saying this was odd... Seeing as we had pre-paid, we felt stuck and as if we must go through with the experience despite our dismay and laughter over what we were going to be subjected to... Our amused disappointment only grew once we received our first tasting and were handed our bag of chocolates... We struggled through one selection, dumped out a second, skipped the rose, and nearly gagged on the overly sweet port... After trying our best to rinse the dreadful port from our mouths with water, we laughed, left the winery vowing never to return again, and went home, feeling thankful we live just down the road and happy this was not our “real” Valentine’s Day date... We felt terribly for the folks who had made long drives and were hoping to enjoy a romantic special experience...

Nowhere near with the money you'll spend. Rooms at the Hampton Inn might be the same quality without the exorbitant fees... They even charged me to use my credit card...

We could have flown first class to Napa and stayed in 5 star accommodations and drank much better wine... My wife and I went off campus to receive a 90 minute couples massage at Eden’s Massage for $184 as the spa was completely booked... is worth the $30/pp Spa restaurant provides a healthier alternative and better service...

...There are some small details that were incongruous with the price of a room. No complimentary high end bottled water with real glass drinking glasses, no real ceramic coffee cups and real creamer for the coffee... The waitress we had at Louis House of Bourbon was inattentive...

We were charged an additional $300 for dinner and breakfast, even though that was included in our reservation. We had two appetizers and two cocktails at dinner (and no dessert)—so I would understand some additional charge—and we had the standard buffet for breakfast with no additions...

And to top off this outing, one friend in group had an accident on his bike couple days earlier and couldn’t play but they charged him a $35 guest fee to ride in cart with a player... Very disappointed as my prior visits there over the years were much better...

...We could not check in until 4pm but even when we did the # 2 villa was not ready we waited an hour for check-in and we still had to wait for one of them to be finish to be cleaned... I think they rushed cleaning our room...

...Jeff, the valet, took great care of our car and belongings, while the staff went above and beyond to assist me with my wheelchair, ensuring a comfortable and seamless experience throughout our stay. The check-in process was smooth, and our room provided a spacious, clean, and safe environment...

...On that Saturday, we had planned a sisterly breakfast, where we all would cook food and fellowship with each other... Nevertheless, we did reach out to the front desk and they sent a technician (John) to our Villa and he did determine that the stove was not operable... After countless negotiations with the front desk, the situation was resolved... We ordered our food at 7:20pm and did not get it until 9:00pm... We spoke to the server/waiter first and he was very uncaring about the situation... We mentioned to him that there were other tables that had not been there as long as us had received their food... When we spoke to him he, said he was not aware we had not received our food and that he would check with the chef to see how much longer it would be... He later returned and said it would be about 20 minutes before we would get out food... I really hate we had to experience this type of service from such a well respected Resort...

I highly suggest for anyone planning a stay to speak with guest services guest because they truly provide planning services and completely handle booking of any services or activities... The service level across the entire resort is consistently welcoming and catering... I stayed at the main Inn for two nights, with a planned spa visit on day two... The free shuttle service is quick and feels like limo service though it is a typical van/bus shuttle... They had no hesitation in driving me to a late evening dinner reservation I had at the restaurant that was a short walking distance... This is the type of small gesture that can make a solo traveler’s stay... Thanks for such a wonderful getaway just 45 minutes from my Atlanta home...

...On my 5th request to find what was delivered together (showed signature), my box was found, at the end of my event... I do wish the staff took me seriously as a guest, they were very courteous but need some development on addressing problem resolution and how to effectively communicate/address with guests... I wouldn't let this stop me from going back though, all was done with kindness...

My friends that were there for the first time were truly impressed and amazed by what they saw and enjoyed received... ...Last year there was some minor frustrations and this year it just became more difficult trying to get our reservation finally confirmed. I sent an email of which I received a response literally within 2 minutes and then a phone message to give someone a call reference my reservation... Miss Chastity Gaddis Was the individual I called back after reading her voice message... I have never experienced such customer service, value to those visiting their facility as well as a resolution to what seemed like a reservation that was never going to occur... In very short order and as cordial as possible my situation was rectified... My wife and I will be enjoying Thanksgiving at Chateau Elan and enjoying their Thanksgiving Buffet all because of this one individual doing what she did in the most kind and cordial of manners I have ever experienced in my life... It's not that the service or what I received was bad or poor I think it was just a mix up and some loss of communication that resulted in my frustration which was passed on to this young lady as well who was very pleased with the information I gave her allowing them to correct this with all hopes of never occurring in the future... Thank you for making this a success and putting smiles on our face...

We booked a stay here to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, which I specifically wrote in our original booking and called again to remind the reception as I wanted my wife to have a great experience... I'll give a shout out to Xaire at Marc for being the only person all weekend to get us a complementary glass of rose... I don't expect anything when I stay at a Hampton Inn or similar, but this establishment is claiming to be a luxury hotel, but we were not treated in that manner... Finally, there were multiple weddings happening at the hotel, and our overall take was that we felt as if we happened to be staying at a wedding venue, where the focus by the staff was on making sure the wedding guests were well taken care off, and we were merely an afterthought...

...We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and the amazing service we received at Versailles at both dinner and breakfast. Our server at dinner, Truelove, was lovely and Betty Jo at breakfast was an absolute joy and just what we needed!... Both ladies added to our experience and made it more memorable... Although she could apparently hear guests ordering she seemed very unapproachable and almost annoyed about making breakfasts... Thankfully, we simply walked to the Inn, and they brought us a new one quickly... Our spa experience was lovely, and my therapist DeLeo was a gentle giant... He was so kind, and I appreciated him listening to what I needed that day... All the spa staff was friendly and working so hard!... They didn’t stop and people were constantly refreshing, replenishing, and making sure guests were taken care of...

At the pool we had the sweetest server, Alyia, who took time to make us feel like we were special visitors... We plan to return with our spouses so we can enjoy another day at the spa while they golf, and then we can all enjoy some really well-prepared meals and wine together...

The hotel is beautiful, and positioning beside the winery creates a relaxing and pleasurable setting regardless if there for personal downtime or for business... Exceptional food served in the winery and the wine tasting and purchase options were fun... A relaxing place, I would go back...

We checked in the same day as the Vineyardfest which was a lot of fun, diverse, and a great way to try the Chateau’s wine... It would be nice if the property offered more free amenities and entertainment besides the spa (paint and sip, free workout classes, live music, etc.)... We left the property for breakfast and lunch to save money, as there are other options within 10 to 15 mins from the property... The rooms were average and need some upgraded technology, they were outdated for our taste...

There is a $50 PER DAY resort fee for "horse back riding that is no longer available and the bicycles that you can ride around the property" So we paid $300 for non existent horses and bikes that we never saw, never used, never wanted... One of our servers noticed that my soda was flat and without me asking took it upon herself to source a can of soda since her Co2 was out behind the bar...

...I love many things about Chateau Elan... The people in reception and at the winery and Marc’s were great... I guess the focus is on events and not just visitors but if you ever want to increase your tourist crowd then look at the amenities from that viewpoint...
