I was a little nervous when I heard we would be staying in someone’s home while visiting Kathmandu but I was happily surprised with how comfortable and pleasant it was. Babu and Bella are as warm and welcoming as can be. Their house is large and the beds were comfortable. It was fun to be just outside the city limits of Kathmandu because we could see how regular Nepalese people live. Babu took us on a walk through his village and we also spent a couple days seeing the sights in and around Khatmandu - all fascinating!
Bella cooked our breakfast and dinner each day and it was all delicious. She is an absolute gem💕
After three days in their village, we flew to Pokhara. We spent a nice day there enjoying the beautiful lake and made last minute purchases for our trek.
We were fortunate to have Babu and four wonderful porters to help us on our five day trek to Poon Hill. It was beautiful, fascinating and hard. Lots of tall stone steps up and down. I thought I was in decent shape until the second half of day two! Granted, I am 57 and a recent cancer survivor as well as a newly christened asthma sufferer so if I can do it, so can you! Everyone we met was so kind and helpful. We got a little tired of the food (limited choices) but no one got sick and we all managed just fine.
Anyone considering this trip should know that it is adventure travel- not vacation! We knew that going in, so we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our group consisted of four of my siblings, spouses, friends and a niece. I will always cherish the memories we made together with Babu, Bella and the lovely people of Nepal.

If you want to feel the nepal lifestyle, you must stay with Babu and Bella. They are my family in Nepal. I have been here twice with my daugther. It is confortable and out of the crouded and noisy Kathmandu. You will stay with a real family in a small town. You will have your privacy but also sharing a lot of moments and conversations with them.
Babu can prepare everything you need for you tryp in Nepal, tours and treks, flights and transport. You only have to contact him and explain what you want to do.
I highly recommend them. You will have great memories and like me, you will come back for sure.
I love this family, always in my heart.

We stayed for over a month with this great and warm hearted family. We had the best time and couldn't ask for more. Belku and Babu showed us the Nepali culture, teached us to cook MoMos and Dal Bhat.

The house and the rooms are clean and comfortable also for longer stays. The food Belku cooks is very good and makes everyone happy. In short distance from the house you can find some nice day trekking.

We are extremely happy to have met this great family and found really good friends in them and can fully recommend to stay here.

We will definetely come back. ❤️

Bella and Babu (and Aayush, their son) are the best hosts ever! They gave us the feeling like we visit a family.
We stayed in their place with a group for 2 weeks and we got so warm and welcoming host for the whole time.
The house and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, located in a breathless place. The meals are delicious and everything we asked for, they were happy to help.
Every morning and evening they sat with us like a real family and we found out those awesome people.
The only disadvantages were that while staying in the Honmstay, there was no washing machine, so it's a bit uncomfortable (now there is!), but they offered others options. And sometimes there were no hot water if it wasn't a sunny day.

I am truly grateful for all they did for us and highly recommend to everyone.

I staid in Nepal for two weeks. And the first days I lodge in the Baby's homestay. I had a great time time there. The home is very conformtable and everthing very clean. And the best, Bella, the wife of Babu. She is great and very good cooker. Also, Babu was our guide in a trekking that lasted 4 days by the walley of Kathmandu. And as well he was our guide visiting historical places in Kathmandu.
Thank you family.

Staying in Babu's home is a-must if you visit Nepal. He and his lovely family (Belku, Ruja and Ayuss) will make your stay so comfortable and easy you will sure miss them so much once you leave their home.

Not only his wife, son and daughter, but also Belku's brother Nil will always be available for helping, talking, guiding you in a hike or a trekking. ;-)

Special mention for Belku's cooking!! She always sets delicious dishes with a big smile from ear to ear.

The environment, although beeing a little bit far away from Kathmandú center it does sure worth it. Surrounded by so-green rice fields and lovely neighbours they always have their doors opened to meet you. Also a lot of hikes are easy available and near throughout all the Kathmandu valley.

In conclusion, staying in Babu's home has been one of the most important points that made my trip to Nepal so special.

I'm willing to come back Babu, keep me a room booked!! :-)
