Fassolou is the name of the bay close to our studios. Stone, wood and bronze are the dominating materials of our complex, which is located only 120 m from the small, windless, picturesque and sandy beach of Fassolou that extends for 7 meters. Our complex consists of three two-story buildings that have different architecture but they all offer sea view. The buildings are connected with 4 stone arches joined with pergolas. Stone paths, stone walls and flower beds, paved alleys and yards travel visitors to past romantic times.

Nice enough room within complex. Minimal tea/ coffee resources, no milk. No breakfast on offer, and you have to walk across a stony dusty track to find a restaurant or shop - only one restaurant nearby, the rest over the hill to Faros.Ther was a bar on site but it was shut - too late in the season? Overall, a reasonable stay but Faros side has better accomodation with more facilities.

Basic accommodations at a good price. The patio was nice and room large enough for the both of us. We were disappointed in the views and distance from beach. The beaches nearby were lovely though. We just expected to be much closer and have a better view. The rooms seems much closer to the water on the hotel's website. We checked out a day early to transfer to another hotel with a better location.

I love hiking and this was my second trip to the island of Sifnos, but my first time to the south of the island. The Fassolou Studios felt like a hidden gem, tucked away from the small centre of Faros yet only a short walk away from the tavernas and the Fassolou beach. I had a ground floor studio which was very comfortable and homely, with my own patio area facing the sea where breakfast was brought to me each morning. There are three sizes of breakfast: the simple was included in the price, but there's a full version for those with slightly larger appetites and then there's the Fassolou Special which was fantastic, just what I needed to stoke up energy in the morning before setting off to walk the hills and beautiful rugged landscape of Sifnos. The hosts of Studio Fassolou were very welcoming and attentive throughout my three day stay, and I'm keen to return next year for a much longer period. Oh, and because the Studios are not on the main road, and there's no port nearby, the peace and quiet here is heavenly!

If you don't like cats, stay away from this place - they wander all around undisturbed, all sizes and colours.
But if you do, like we do (my child is mad about cats and we can't allow one at home because of an allergy in the family), you'll be in heaven.
Otherwise Fassolou hotel is an idyllic place just outside of Faros - a sleepy fishermen village in the south corner of Sifnos. The studios are spacious, clean and comfortable, furnished in a traditional style, cool even on hot summer days (we didn't need the A/C at all). There is a verdant garden and sea views from the terrace.
The eponymous Fassolou beach is 3 minutes by foot downhill and a little further lies the village with two more lovely beaches and 3-4 excellent tavernas.
But if you do, like we do (my child is mad about cats and we can't allow one at home because of an allergy in the family), you'll be in heaven.

It is a great shame that our trip was ruined by the ignorant man running the studios, who left my family, including 3 children stranded. The location is ok and the rooms comfortable, however any agreement and promises made by the owners when booking can't be relied upon.
We rented a car and the car given to us was dangerous to say the least. When we complained about the car and price they proceeded to give it away to other customers, with our stuff still in it and left us stranded. The owner could not speak English very well but instead of calling his wife that does simply told us she was sleeping (at 18:00) and we should just go away. What a way to treat paying guests. Without a car this place is inaccessible and even if a bus comes once a day is not a practical way to go anywhere with 3 kids.
Needless to say we won't be staying here again and I don't advise it to anyone wishing to have a peaceful holiday

What to say about this reservation?? A bad dream!!,i counted the days to finish!!! A family of 5 persons,who they thought that they were along to all the building as their neighbors complained , so we were 'runing' the studio to be sur that everything was ok They had came with an other family , Mis Alison's family , we had the best relation and communication with her and the day of their departure when i asked her about the behavour of her friend she answered me that she couldn;t understand her , why??? She had rent a car from us before she comes, with a babyseat which i had brought from Athens specialy for her The ;dangerous' car is the car which i use myself and i put my family inside in Athens. They kept it 1 or 2 days i don't remember exactly , and her husband came to the reception and told us that he didn't like it because it wasnot a modern car [ it's the renault big family car , i had descripe it before their arrival] and he had a problem with the lights the night....... and he asked us to change the price..... I answered to him that he wasnot obliged to keep the car [i had kept it for him a longtime before his arrival] and i gave him a little reduction to the price He told me that he'll go to ask her wife and answer us .... My husband asked the key to take a look to the lights[they had no problem] NO ANSWER UNTIL LATE NEXT MORNING...i had a couple from the same country who wanted the car They had told me that they had bad informations for the car from them but they wanted it!!!!! I went to their terrasse and i told them that i understood that they didn;t want the car and to come to the reception to help them to take some phones to find another car. The husband answered that he 'll go by bus on place to the location's agency Ok, i answered to the other couple that they could reserve the car, some hours after as my husband told me [because i was in my daughter's studio , she had her baby ill] she knocked the door of our room [she didn't come to the reception] and begun to cry with noice why we had given HER CAR to an other guest and that she wouldn;t pay the benzine after she begun to speak in her language and insult us as they told me the guests from the other studios [they were from the same country] and they were out from the noice of her loud voice[scream] From this moment and after she stoped speak to us , i tried some times to approach her , she didn;t take the little gift i give the day of departure and ANYWAY, i can;t understand .... she had a problem with the car , she could leave it and easily find an other with my help or not [as she finaly did] without ruining her vacations and her friend's vacations WITHOUT REASON Of course i'm so gland she will not come again and i feel very sorry for the next hotel she'll go Tzeni M [owner]

We stayed at the Fassolou Studios because we had a wedding to attend down the road. Jenny and her husband were charming, most helpful and we were made to feel very comfortable. We didn't spend much time in the lovely bar and outdoor sitting area but that did look inviting. It's a short walk to the beach, super vistas. It's a very simple way to be on holiday and for our time there, it was the hottest I've ever experienced (104F) and the air con worked beautifully. Highly recommend.

We spent 6 nights -the 3 teenagers sharing a spacious little Greek version of a bed sit with lovely veranda, us in an equally spacious first floor room with kitchen area and balcony terrace. The location and views were stunning -a few mins reach of two wonderful beaches-one through the village port with great little mini market and plenty choice of great places to eat-fish in abundance.Fassolou studios is run by a generous and relaxed Greek couple who quickly solve any problems.Fay the staff was so lovely and kept the rooms beautifully cleaned and sorted so you feel truly spoilt. The feel of the place is so relaxing and the locals are really kind and friendly-when our daughter was stung by a poisonous fish we were quickly helped by a lady from the village who fetched a knowledgeable fisherman and arranged for a doctor to see her in neighbouring Apollonian- she really went out of her way but that is the impression people from here give-very open to the world. We loved the Fassolou studios and especially Sifnos.Lots to do or if you just want to do nothing an amazing place to relax.

This has to be the best off-season place to stay in Greece. I imagine that it would be very crowded come July/August but if you like your weather just right and your beaches empty this is the place to come. Great accommodation for a good price and excellent service from Jenny and Tassos - picked up from the port and taken to the supermarket and bank - above and beyond I say! Recommended.

Next to the tiny village of Faros on the isle of Sifnos one finds an even smaller Hamlet: Fassolou, home of the beautiful, small, resort Fassolou Studios, run by its friendly owners. It has about 10 appartments, spacious and well-equipped and decorated in the typical Sifnos style. The appartments all overlook the bay of Fassolou and its quiet beach.

Very nice studios comfortables clean witj a veranda with the best view i was impressed from the decoration typical traditionnal im sur that ill be back
