Mizner Place at Weston Town Center offers a prime location that is highly praised for its access to local shops and dining options, though the pool's popularity can lead to crowded conditions. While guests commend the friendly staff and the resort's overall cleanliness, some have encountered issues with housekeeping and service.
The spacious rooms are a plus, yet their outdated decor and occasional discomfort have not gone unnoticed. Despite the festive atmosphere during special events, additional fees and nonfunctional amenities occasionally mar the perceived value of the stay.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed back in 2017 and everything as the same. Check in was easy with Tony. Only difference was $30 for "activities". However, there were no activities due to covid, so why charge? This fee was always waived by management but not this time even though we complained about it to Tony. Pool deck was being worked on and concrete sidewalks in front. Very noisy as they started a bit before 8am with concrete saws and such Resort was pretty much empty. We barely saw anyone nor any staff while here. Unfortunately there isn't much to do since 2 people are allowed in the elevator 6 feet apart and 10 people in the over chlorinated pool (max). With all the construction on the pool deck it We did see one maintenance man older in his late 50's cary 60's whom was at Publix scratching lottery tickets, then walked quickly back to work when he figured out we were guests. Tony had given us a late check out of noon and promptly at 10amthere was a knock at the door when our do not disturb sign was up. The male staff member said "are you leaving?" We replied, "at noon, with our confirmed late check out" and he turned around said nothing and left. Pretty rude. I hate to say this but after staying with Vacation Village for 20 years I think it is time to try another nicer resort. With all that is out there and available they could have done much better even with the recent virus circumstances. No reason to charge the $30 fee. We were disappointed but did not have the time or interest to complain again at check out. Sadly we will not return as there are too many other options for accommodations Most of the area eating establishments and area activities are closed but that was to be expected. Unit was clean except for the shower. In addition the social distancing and sanitation practices were in place and all guests and staff required to wear masks at all times while out of your room. Security was present at the garage and always had a wave for us.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We are sorry if your vacation was not as fun as you would have liked it to be. Yes, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to limit many of our amenities and services at the resort, but currently, the swimming pool is open for up to 50% capacity at this time, only 10 people can be in the water and small groups of 10 on the pool deck. The fitness center is open but limited to only three people maximum at a time. With regards to the $30.00 Activity Fee, it covers Wi-Fi, discounts at participating merchants (must show room key), access to Vacation Village at Weston resort amenities and activities such as Karaoke night, family movie night, poolside appreciation party, poolside dance lessons, social center (schedule provided at check-in), access to the fitness center, morning coffee, refreshments from 2 PM – 6 PM, access to the business center and use of in-room safe. Some of those are still available. The activity fee applies to all guests and owners. We hope your next vacation is much better. Thank you.

We've stayed at several RCI Gold Crown Resorts and they've been nicer than this one. The photos looked better than the actual resort. It was in a central location to areas in Florida and had several restaurants and a grocery store across the street. We were told the rooms had been recently renovated, but ours seemed only partially done. Kitchen was nicely stocked, bathroom needed updating, bed was small and not too comfortable. Some area attractions were closed due to COVID-19, so the resort was very quiet and some amenities were closed. We had to pay a $30 amenity fee, even though we didn't use any (pool was closed each afternoon due to rain) and a $45 cleaning fee since we were only staying for 4 days. The second fee didn't make sense since there were plenty of rooms available, but was required. The employees were friendly, resort was safe and there were plenty of walking areas surrounding it.

Thanks for visiting Mizner Place at Weston Town Center this year. We are glad you enjoyed South Florida. For your knowledge, the $30.00 required Activity Fee is required for all guests and owners. It is collected at the time of check-in (one fee per reservation). It includes Wi-Fi, limited local transportation within a 3-mile radius via shuttle service, discounts at participating merchants (must show room key), access to Vacation Village at Weston resort amenities and activities such as Karaoke night, family movie night, poolside appreciation party, poolside dance lessons, social center (schedule provided at check-in), access to the fitness center, morning coffee, refreshments from 2 PM – 6 PM, access to the business center and use of in-room safes. This is mentioned on our website. Furthermore, it is pleasing to hear how you enjoyed the kitchen in your suite. It comes in handy. We hope to serve you again in the future.

Resort is nothing special. Pool is very small for the size of the resort and there were never enough chairs with people putting towels on the chairs at 7am. No concierge on duty the entire time we were at the resort, finally saw a person there the morning we checked out. Our room appeared to have not been used for a long while as there was no shower curtain, the microwave had to be reprogrammed, the batteries in the room safe were so corroded that they stopped working and the strangest thing of all... the TV in the bedroom had an electrical cord that didn't reach to the outlet. TV was mounted on the wall so no way to move it any closer. It had to have been that way for a long time. Staff was okay, not very interested in doing anything but getting us to attend a meeting, they did respond to our multiple maintenance calls but the maintenance staff was a bit lacking with understanding the English language. The gentleman who came to our room when we called for a shower curtain, turned on the shower and looked at my husband like he was an idiot. Husband explained that the shower head was fine...we needed the curtain. it showed up shortly thereafter from housekeeping. Not a great, "give us a 5," experience. Not a horrible location as we were able to walk to stores, restaurants but we were there during New Year's Holiday and a lot of things were closed. The resort didn't mention that so we walked down to the center for nothing. Pretty much anything, movies or beach or any activities were a 15-30 minute drive. You would need a car if you want to do much. This place is no where near a beach. Closest is Ft. Lauderdale which was about a half hour each way.

My Wife and I booked this trip for a relaxing getaway. We arrived at 3 pm to check in and they said the room wouldn't be ready until 4pm. This was fine with us because they said a nearby Sports Bar had 2 for 1 drinks daily. We then drove around the area and then went to the sports bar. We then went to the grocery store and got things for the week. We returned at 5pm and I went and picked up our room keys at the front desk. We get all of our luggage and walk up to the room at 5:20pm only to find a maid mopping floors and cleaning our room. We stood in the hall for 15 minutes with luggage and groceries waiting to get into our room. We finally get in and I'm ready for a drink but no ice. The ice tray had pieces of cheese stuck to the side so I had to wash that and then I called to find an ice machine. I called the front desk and it went to voicemail. I called the concierge & housekeeping with no answer. I called the front desk 3 more times over 20 minutes before they answered and when I finally spoke with someone they said ice was by the pool and there was an ice bucket under the sink. I checked every cupboard and no ice bucket so I grabbed the colander and went for ice.
The next day I called the front desk several times with no answer. Called housekeeping also with no answer. We are guests for one week with no maid service and they give us two washcloths. I don't know about everyone else but we don't reuse washcloths. I can reuse a towel but not a washcloth once I scrub my privates. So this means they expect you to track down housekeeping daily to exchange washcloths or wash them yourself (paying $1.25 for washer & $1.25 per dryer). I exchanged mine and had to beg them to give me two extra washcloths but they said no more. Also, the units have NO CEILING FANS! You better get your A/C set perfect for sleeping because there are no fans in the room. I know beds are based on preference but the beds were very uncomfortable for both my wife and I. All the pictures on the website shows King beds but if you have a "B" unit you will only have a queen and a partial kitchen (no stove). The only good thing I can say is that the pool is heated and was very comfortable. Also the hot tub is closed so don't expect this added feature. The hotel will charge $30 for wi-fi and numerous extras but only about 1/2 of these are available. most is closed or off limits but they don't offer you a discount. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and I will never revisit this Wyndham location! We have the room until Friday but we're departing early on Wednesday because we are not happy with this place and I cannot believe this is a Wyndham facility!

It was just my husband and I staying for a week and this place was perfect for us. Our suite was small but definitely adequate. It was one bedroom, one bathroom with a small kitchenette. The only thing we didn’t like was that our patio looked out over the very busy (and noisy) highway. I like to sit outside and enjoy my coffee each morning and the noise from the traffic wasn’t pleasant. But someone has to use those rooms, I guess. The most important thing to me is that it was immaculately clean. I really appreciated that and could relax. The parking garage was very convenient and had large enough spaces where you weren’t getting dings in your car every day. It’s also so close to shopping and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back!

This is our first stay at Mizner place. Last year we stayed at Vacation Village at Weston. VV at Weston had a lot of road noise from the highway right behind it, so we thought we would try Mizner. We visited last year and toured the sample room and the pool. The sample room was very nice, updated and the furniture was in great shape as no one ever stays in the model. The actual room we got (1 BdRm, Full Kitchen) is OK with the furniture showing a lot of wear and tear, but still comfortable. Not sure when this facility was built, but the lighting fixtures are all original and very old. Bedroom carpet is very old and worn. The countertops are all vinyl. The shower surround very old. The kitchen cabinets are very dated and low end. The appliances have been updated to SS appliances. This is typical of Vacation Village and I believe most people will find the units clean, but below the quality of their home furnishings, fixtures, etc. I have stayed at a lot of Timeshares. Marriott and Hilton vacation clubs are the best. Wyndham and Sheraton are better. VV collects a lot of money each year per unit for maintenance ($400 x 50 weeks = $20,000 per unit). Why not replace the carpet and do some updates? My guess is that they use this for operating expenses and only a very small portion is to update the unit. I have no idea how this is a Gold Crown Resort. Nothing stood out as outstanding or above average.
Mizner is definitely quieter than VV at Weston as long as you get a unit not on the main road. Last year when we visited, there were ample chairs at the pool. This year with Covid, they removed most of the chairs and we could never get a chair at the pool. They have seating for about 30 with probably 200 – 300 guests. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and plenty of places to walk. The location is convenient. We spent an afternoon at Ft Lauderdale beach (30 minute drive), which has a very nice beach. Wireless Internet is very fast.
In summary, it is a 3 star resort in a nice location.

Hello williambf2017. We value your detailed review. Your feedback is essential in assisting us with our future improvements and suite updates. We can tell you that we have continuously been updated our resort. Just last quarter, we replaced the AC package unit with a new one, completed these special projects in all suites - paint touch-ups, AC filter replacements, cleaned all AC coils, etc., replaced balcony door locks in all B suites, installed new door push bars in the garage and around the resort, and pressure cleaned the garage, roofs of all buildings, and around the resort. The previous quarter, we reupholstered all cushions for sofa beds in A Suites, replaced raised, loose and broken tile in the bedrooms, resort common areas, and in all elevators, and repaired and painted the stucco, leaks, drains, and cracks in the roof. The maintenance dollars are going to improving the resort, for sure. We hope this helps you with a better understanding. Furthermore, we have had to limit the seats at the pool due to the current pandemic. As stated on our resort's website, under the Travel Advisory banner, the heated swimming pool is open, available at 50% capacity at this time, only 15 people can be in the water and small groups of 10 on the pool deck. We wish you better vacation experiences for the future.

We stayed from 11/1/2021 thru 11/6/2021 in Room 1201 "B" Each section has 2 rooms "A" which is the larger one and "B" which is a smaller unit. The basic difference is that the bedroom in the "A" has a king size bed and the "B" has a queen. The kitchen in the "B" is a type of kitchen for a studio apartment with 2 portable burners, a microwave and a refrigerator. If you plan to cook, I recommend Unit "A" but we were just going to sleep there, so the kitchen was not a big deal for us. The only thing was that since we are use to a king size bed, it felt a little tight, but we were able to sleep fine. The bedroom had a safe and the bathroom was great. We tried to turn on the TV in the living room and it didn't work, so my husband called the front desk. Within a couple of minutes a couple were knocking at our door and the issue appeared to be that we were not pressing TV first and then the power. After they left, we realized that the control was not changing the channels, however, the control in bedroom worked on both tvs, so we didn't want to call again, since we had found an alternative solution. What I absolutely loved and appreciated tremendously were the parking facilities, especially because it was very rainy during the week. There are 2 parts to the covered parking. Depending on what section your room is located, is where you park. In our case, we were on the 2nd floor, so we parked on the 2nd floor close to the entry of the floor. So you leave your car on your section (2nd floor for us) and walk a few steps and it's the entry. It's great! Another convenience was the laundry facility in each floor available to the guests. $2.00 ($1.50 washer + $0.50 for Tide) and $2.00 ($1.50 dryer + $0.50 Bounce), which for me it was great, because I was able to fly home with already washed clothes. The resort is located close to everything we could have walked, except it was raining most of our stay. The rooms closer to the elevator and parking are the ones ending with 7 or 8. Ours was the last room on that floor, but it was fine.

Resort is beautiful. Located near Town Square which is a big plus. Be prepared to hand wash dishes as there is not a dishwasher, at least not in our room. Check for missing kitchen items upon arrival and report. Don't count on using the pool as there is not enough space for everyone and some people hold chairs or just stay a long time. You can use other resort pools, just will require driving. Rooms are pretty, quiet and comfortable.

Mizner Place is a first-class resort in a "planned community" that is beautifully landscaped and groomed, as is the resort itself. The resort has an exceptionally attractive pool area and the rooms are well-appointed and with good-sized balconies. The service we had in the location of our unit was exceptional and we were very pleased. Additionally, Weston has some fine restaurants and is only about 20 miles from the Ft. Lauderdale area and its beaches.

We have stayed at Mizner place at least three other times. We love the resort and that it’s so close to a Publix and bars and restaurants. This time seemed to be a little different though. We didn’t get there until 4:30 PM and check in was to be at 4:00 PM. I believe his name was Devon, assisted with our check-in and he was very friendly and was trying to find us a better room. He said he got us one overlooking the courtyard and that was fine. The only thing is, the smoke detectors are going off and they would have to fix that. OK no big deal. We got into our room and it indeed did have a view of the courtyard, but we just couldn’t see it because the tree completely blocked it. They did come in and they had to remove the batteries for the smoke alarm and they replaced them the next day. Our unit was spacious enough for the two of us and clean.
Now onto the things that I didn’t find so pleasant. Our garbage disposal didn’t work and they did send up a maintenance man to repair it, but it didn’t do any good. It ran but it sounded like the entire unit would explode so we never used it. We would get down by the pool by 8 AM so we could get our favorite spot. The thing that bothered me though, was three out of the five days, there was a guy using a gas leaf blower all around the pool. Now mind you, we are trying to relax on vacation and I feel like this needs to be done before guests arrive at the pool. No reason to do this when there are guests! The smell of gas is not pleasant and the noise was ridiculous. The hot tub was closed and for what reason, I do not know. There was never more than 10 people at the pool and I doubt they would all crowd into the hot tub at once. They maintained it, but you just could not use it.
Maybe this has always been a rule, but we were not allowed to have our yeti cups at the side of the pool if we were in it. I’m not talking about the wet deck, but I’m talking about the pool deck. One of the workers came and moved our cups 4 feet away from the pool. None of us had glass, so this was a weird thing to me. Has this always been the rule?
We still had a good time, but it just seemed a little different and I hope the changes made are not for good.

Hello Jastudt. Thanks for returning back to our resort this year. We apologize if your vacation stay this time around fell short than any of your previous vacations here. At least you like the spaciousness of our suite and the cleanliness, too. We have forwarded your review to the General Manager and hope to make it up to you in the future. Thanks for your comments, again. Happy New Year!
