I haven't even been there yet but literally cannot get hold of them. I am perfectly willing to book online but have some questions. Try calling the numbers...The reviews are causing me doubts but still would like to go. Maybe they consider outsourcing their "call center"?

Our extended family stayed a week here. We booked 3 rooms. As other's already noted, the place is in need of a remodel/updating. We did like the kitchen and washer/dryer facilities. There were many things closed. It was overall fairly quiet. We did enjoy the two golf courses onsite and playing tennis. If you are near building 8, you can park for free in a small lot there. The staff was very friendly and good service.

The tennis here is very good. Top-notch instructors who are also great with kids. But, they don't have kids clinics so you need to book privates during non-adult-clinic hours. So, it's really inconvenient for families with children. The accommodations are downright scary. This place is a time capsule from the 70s. Nobody has come to freshen up the place in decades. Old, ratty furniture; moldy shower floors, terrible water pressure, popcorn ceilings, musty smell everywhere. This place is not for the faint of heart (or nose). Pool is a bit dirty, and both hot tubs are out of order. You walk in the golf shop and the smell hits you in the face like a wet catcher's mitt. "Kids club" is a total joke. High school kids on their iPhones hang around to "watch"your kids in a musty place where the art table doesn't even have seats. Looking for a cheap getaway with the guys where you can smoke cigars in your room without making it smell worse? Well then this is your place. But if you have ANY standards when staying away from home, beware.

Online makes this place look great but it is so run down and, besides the pool, has very few amenities. A lot of things advertised were not even available - like no coffee bar, spa was closed, restaurants closed, game room closed, plus… one of the jacuzzi’s didn’t work, our telephone in the room didn’t work, the pool had no towels, the creamer in our room was clumpy, and the food was average and over priced. Seriously, besides being very quiet it had nothing else I’d want to pay for. Very disappointed.

Hello Alison. I'm disappointed we didn't meet your expectations. We are still striving to create a positive guest experience while we cope with the new covid normal and staffing issues. We will do better next time.

Wow! We LOVED our time at Saddlebrook. This “horizontal resort” had plenty of beautiful space for walking (and tons of great little creatures to see around the grounds). Better yet though, the staff was awesome. These guys have just been through a pandemic and an industry-wide shutdown and still were so happy to serve our group. They we so accommodating and willing to help with whatever we needed. Also, I had the pleasure of meeting TD, the founder and owner, and hear the wonderful story of how saddlebook started and some key events in its history. How cool! I definitely would recommend.
