This was a couples/business weekend. When checking in they had champagne out we were not offered. We were staying for 3 nights. Then we had dinner at Cobalts the hotel restaurant. Service was good dinner was awful, 3 of us had to send our meals back. Then next day we went to the spa which was nice. Not owned or operated by the hotel. We did not eat another meal at the hotel. Saturday we went to sit by the pool in the late afternoon. The outside restaurant was closed and the bar due to them setting up for a wedding. Which were informed of this the night before with a notice in our room. This event had to be scheduled at least a year in advance. So no outside service. For the day. We were also not told that every day they have happy hour from 4 to 6pm. Wine and popcorn. We found this out from another guest. At this point we were on last night at the hotel. Sunday morning we were packing up to leave and there was a roach in our bathroom. When we went to check out we told the person at the desk the complaints we had. She said someone already told her about the roach. We said we hadn’t called down about it and she said oh it happened in another room. We mentioned about the wedding prep and the areas we did not have access to. She said the two restaurants are 3rd party companies. And they don’t always tell the hotel when they have functions. Well that’s bad management. We will not stay here again and not recommend it to anyone. Before Kimpton took over managing this hotel it was great. We are local Vero Beach residents year round. We used to like taking staycations there. Not anymore.…
I spent three nights at Kimpton and it is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The room and facilities are wonderful and the staff, including the cleaning and pool workers, were without exception friendly and courteous. One night I complained of a barking dog and the next morning I was treated to a cheese plate and complimentary bottle of wine accompanied by two hand-written notes. THAT is how service is done. The attention to detail was impressive, from the Nespresso machines in the room to the two excellent restaurants, Cobalt and Heaton’s. I can’t recommend Kimpton’s enough.
We were 3 local Vero Beach residents, going to the Kimpton hotel bar, for afternoon drinks, not happy hour. The inside bar was empty, we go outside, you can’t sit here unless you going to eat. Go by the pool bar. We go there, plenty of empty tables. The waitress said”you can’t sit here, we don’t take walk ins” I understand it’s high season but we are the local that keeps them alive off season, and we were treated as interlopers, we been there numerous times before. So, Vero Beach local boycott the Cobalt bar and restaurant at this hotel. They were nasty, and kept on saying come back at Happy Hour. When hell freezes over.
We received top notch service from the minute we arrived. From the valet to the front desk staff and manager - I was very impressed. The rooms were impeccable, food very delicious and don't get me started on the spa... Salt Room Therapy, Sauna, Meditation Room, etc. This was a last minute booking for us and we will definitely be back again soon.
Good for large boisterous families—kids can yell across the pool for hours. Parents can sit in bar and socialize while kids play unsupervised. You may hear adults screaming at kids in pool when it’s time to go, or groups talking loudly enough that you can hear conversation 100ft away. Looking to read or relax by the pool, or want a more serene, elegant environment? This isn't the place. Couples looking for chill environs, recommend looking elsewhere.
Superb hotel. Sexy, Chic and Modern. Complimentary Happy Hour in Lobby. Two Excellent Restaurants onsite. High End restaurant, tiki Bar with great cocktails and a beachside casual dining menu that had great options, great views. Bikes available to use to cruise around the great downtown area. Staff was outstanding, all of them. Specific shout out to Valet, Happy Hour Hostess, Front Desk Antionette and Sean.
Only there for one night but we made the most of it. Sat by the fire pit, ate dinner, used the hot tub, pool and ocean! Lunch the next day outside. All the staff were wonderful especially Antoinette! Yes, they have an electrical charging station where they charge your car for free!
We have never stayed anywhere that has been this detailed and make you feel so welcome as soon as you go in the door. The valets were awesome as was all the he staff. One of the nicest and clean rooms you will ever find. We just had a great time and highly recommend
We stayed here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary from the UK and we could not have chosen a better place to do it. This fantastic hotel has beautiful rooms, wonderful facilities and a location second to none overlooking the beach and the ocean. But while the building itself is faultless, it's the staff which make it perfect. They are attentive, thoughtful, helpful and nothing seems like it's too much trouble. From the valet parking team, the restaurant staff and the front of house team, they all seem to be impeccable. Aware of our celebration, the restaurant made us complimentary cocktails and dessert, the room had a champagne bottle and chocolate strawberries, and there was a lovely hand written card by the side. The weather when we visited was untypically wet and rained throughout, yet we still left there after our four day stay, with fond memories and an overwhelming desire to return. Our hope is that we can go back next summer (2023) both for longer and to hopefully get some sunshine this time. …
We checked in on a Sunday later in the afternoon and stayed for 4 nights. There was a slight delay because the guest in front of us made a reservation through Amex FRH and needed assistance by all the available front desk staff. Angie, the assistant front desk manager, was very helpful getting us upgraded to an Oceanfront View and giving us coupons for 2 drinks for the inconvenience. As IHG Diamond members, we also received our Hot Breakfast vouchers for Cobalts. Once we got into our room everything was really just fabulous. The staff at this property is young, energetic and kind. The Valet guys, housekeeping, waiters, beach attendants were all so helpful. Angie and Taylor were pretty much at the front desk day and night, greeting guests and taking care of them. The social happy hours were just fun and consistent with drinks & popcorn. This is a luxury boutique property offering a very intimate experience. The staff even greeted our dog by name! We were allowed to have our dog on the beach which was great. We were told in the new year dogs would we allowed in additional areas. We did get to have a few breakfasts outside Cobalts which was appreciated. . Every breakfast was presented beautifully, promptly and was delicious. We had drinks at Heaton’s which were a bit pricey at $43 for 2, but very good. We also had a smash burger at Heaton’s which was wicked good. On Thursday there was a girl on the beach taking drink and food orders as well. The beach is lovely and great for walking. There was a very strong rip current during our stay and it would be nice if the property had a flag system indicating this to guests. We didn’t have the opportunity to use the pool because we had our dog traveling with us. At checkout I asked to review our portfolio and found some errors for long distance phone charges which we never made and our first 2 drinks at Heaton’s which were supposed to be complimentary per our vouchers from checkin. Shawn the front desk manager immediately took off the phone chargers, but refused to correct the $43 erroneous drink charges. He said he would need to have the accounting team review the charges. I showed him pictures of the vouchers, but he refused to credit the $43 at checkout. I asked for his business card in case I needed to follow up and he said he didn’t have one. It’s ironic that we had to bookend such a lovely stay with this unpleasant exchange with Shawn the manager, but fortunately for him he has a wonderful supporting cast doing a great job. If you want an Oceanfront room and will be visiting during prime time, I would suggest booking in advance, because there are more rooms with partial water views and non water views. This is a special property and we certainly would not hesitate to visit again.…
