So peaceful and quiet. The room was so clean and included everything I needed!! The jacuzzi tub was so relaxing I didn’t want to leave. I had my own patio to just sit and chill. This place cleared my energy, I felt so good when I left. I definitely will be returning. I fell with the shops and stores nearby, this is my new hideout!! Not to mention super close to the beach.
My husband and I stayed at this eclectic resort during our 40 th anniversary . Our room was clean and comfortable . It was a studio with pool out couch if needed. The front desk people were pleasant and helpful this is not a 5 star resort for sure . Towel exchange once a week . You handle your own trash emptying and there’s brooms and vacuums in your room available to use . But , that being said the ambiance is “ahhh relaxation “! We rented chairs and umbrella from a small mom and son company right there. There were two pools , one was surrounded by a restaurant and bar . Entertainment was t always the best but pleasant 2 person band singing oldies ( great for us ) . Surrounding restaurants , Lemon tree, Ocean grill, Mulligans ,Francesca’s Italian kitchen … We went to the second pool a couple of times and met another couple of families who are owners of a couple of timeshare rooms. Fun times . The resort has many families and the kids of all ages enjoyed the pools and beach . We were about 1 1/2 hr away from Disney . Overall very pleasant ! Definitely will try to come back again!…
The Driftwood Resort Inn and Resort 3150 Ocean Drive, Vero Beach, Florida 32963 I had booked the room for 2 weeks, 6 months in advance; the sales person (Lynn) did not give me the correct facts on many questions that I asked before I booked it. She gave the room rate, but of course did not give you the taxes or resort fee. I totally understood the tax, 11% but the resort fee, for what. She told me there was an elevator to our room, but ended up not to our rooms. Laundry facility one with 2 washers and 2 dryers. She booked us two rooms one for each week and was told they both were on the beach which was not true. One on the beach, one on the pool. I asked if we would have a problem with parking and if there was a cost for the parking, she stated no charge for parking and we have no issues with parking and both vehicles could park on our property not true. We had two vehicle’s and requested two spots at check in. We had to park on the street and go move one vehicle every two hours. We had to move to another room, because she did not follow-up on reserving the 2nd room properly, we had to stay on the property until the other people checked out, and the room was cleaned. They would help us move it should only be a couple of hours, we were on vacation and we had to stay on the property from 8am till 4 pm. Then we had to move ourselves. Both rooms were dirty, the grounds were dirty, the restaurant was very dirty. Items did not work in the room. I spoke to the manager twice (Amy) and very unprofessional. Furnishings very old, Cleanliness very dirty, overpriced, maintenance in units needs repair. Very noisy good luck with sleeping. Swimming pool no diving, kids diving all day, security walked through wanted to see your bracelet, but that was it, you can bring glass at the pool, lighting and thunder and let the children with no supervision still in the pool. This place has to be an insurance nightmare with what they let go on. We were told we would have coffee in the room, just the coffee pot and I was told there would be salt, pepper, toilet paper, Kleenex, etc. what you would normal get in a Condo or Hotel room just the basics for a condo, we had to buy are own when we got there. Over $4,405.00 for this place. After talking with people in the surrounding areas, everyone said it really has gone downhill. Not impressed. You need new management. So sad even the housekeepers, maintenance people, etc., told us how sorry they were with what we went through, I guess the manager thought it was important to discuss with the staff.…
This place is a complete dump they need to be shut down and reported to all news all over the country ..A disgrace the manager should be taken to jail and the staff clean up this roach infested place.
We were only there for 1 night on our way for a cruise. But we loved this place. Our hotel room itself wasn't in one of the charming buildings, but we had a small kitchen and a separate bedroom so if we were staying for several nights, we wouldn't have had to eat out all the time. There was some decor in the little living room area (with pull out sofa bed for the kids) so it felt homy. The location is convenient as you can walk to several restaurants. Our kids enjoyed the beach so much after our long drive that we decided to eat at the restaurant on site, so they could eat and play. We could have some drinks too since we just had to crawl back to our room. Parking was a little tricky, but not unmanageable : 1st check in, then go to parking lot attendant, it was almost full.
Overall, the price you can't beat to stay here compared to other places in Vero Beach. It is a rustic place so it is not your glamorous hotel with everything I am use too. I prefer a bath tub with no scratches or rust stains in the tub because upon the first view of seeing this I wondered how clean it was. Overall, I was fooled and it just needs some TLC and repairs. I loved the fact that there was an abundance of towels and other linens. The management goes out of their way to ask how your stay is going. We stayed 8 days and loved the parking, the proximity to shops, our walks on the beach and city neighborhoods. The weather was in the 70's the week of Jan.7-15, 2022 with one rainy day. Everything at all the restaurants are within a short walk and a great food selection., will be back. Surprisingly, hardly anyone used the pool so we had the pool and the beach each day to enjoy. The pool was very clean too. We ate at Waldo's 2-3 times and everything was great. The only complaint I will mention is that for the most part the wait staff are quick, provide good service, and dress appropriately; however, there was one female worker that needs to be talked to about her hygiene and wearing a dirty stained shirt two days in a row that I saw her, black work boots that had mud on them, and an unkept look needs addressing and I was not the only one in the restaurant that noticed this as other customers did too. Overall, these are just things I am sharing as most managers want to know.…
very casual place with a lot of history. If you want a laid back atmosphere, come to Driftwood Resort. We have been here twice and really enjoyed it both times, the staff & employees are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for upscale this is not the place for you but if you want to relax and unwind then definitely come here. The location is also great, right by shopping, other restaurants, etc. We enjoyed just staying mostly at the resort, great food at Waldo's bar and restaurant.
Not just a stay, it was an experience. Waldo's is highly entertaining. Live Music. The Farmers Market on Saturday morning is the best. One block away. Plan to stock your kitchen for a week with meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, baked goods. Manatee watching in the Indian River nearby.
Totally pleased with another week at the Driftwood. It is located right on the ocean with beautiful beaches for miles each way. The shopping restaurants and entertainment is always fun you can enjoy long walks mornings and evenings and spend the hottest hours at the pools.
Amazing views at this location. Close to everything you might need. Live entertainment on some days and happy hour drinks. Great restaurant on site and plenty other eating facilities close by. Be sure to walk the whole property to find all the hidden and "in plain site" artifacts.
