One of the best locations in the RCI catalog- right in a boutiquey village and on the ocean. A very busy place as Waldo's restaurant is beachfront dining and live music til 10pm most every night in season. RCI units are spacious, charmingly old, and decently maintained , but not the best the resort has to offer. Wonderful staff- very well run-- very busy.

We have been trying to get to the Driftwood for several years. So glad to snag a last minute reservation in a studio, one room off the ocean. Loved all the driftwood on the buildings and in the rooms. Ironwork, sculptures, large bells, and ceramic tiles added to the charm.on the grounds. Vero Beach is the perfect backdrop for a quaint beach town. Lots of walkable unique shops and a great variety of restaurants.

The shower curtain fell down 3 times(once in the middle of the night). Hinges on the doors were loose. Turned the ceiling fans on and the dirt went flying. It took an engineer to put the plug in the tub. We will never go back.

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay in your oceanfront studio room. I know that when you checked in you were wanting to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit but RCI had placed you in a studio unit. I'm sorry we couldn't accommodate your request for an upgrade as we were completely full. The tub plug is a step plug, you just step on it and it locks in place and releases the same way. I do apologize that there was dust on the living room ceiling fan. Jeanne Radlet, GM

We enjoyed touring the grounds of the Driftwood Resort. The Resort is a historical landmark with lots of artifacts to see. We ate lunch at a nice park nearby. You can walk to lots of stores and restaurants from here. Parking is free.

Caters to smokers, there are stinky ashtrays all over the friggin' place for smokers to use. If there's a couple smokers in any units between the unit you rent and the ocean, prevailing breezes will carry the stench to your unit. This will also happen if you go to the restaurant and bar area. The unit we had also desperately needs new flooring and/or carpets in units.
