Very well run resort, super friendly staff, so clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen with upscale dinner ware. Easy walk to the beach for a disabled person. Pool and hot tub were both easy to get in and out of. One of the few places that actually has grass in front of the building ( all the dogs on the boardwalk loved it!)

I just got back from spending a week here with my husband and our daughters. We booked on a whim threw Interval, not knowing anything about the area at all. The location is perfect. Treasure Island is small and there is basically no public parking, which keeps out day-trippers. It was super quiet on the beach. It also seems to keep the restaurants from becoming overcrowded. We barely had to wait for a table everywhere we went. The hotel is a bit outdated, but we knew this going in. It was very clean, so I didn’t mind the fact that it wasn’t this super modern over-the-top resort. The one thing that was very disappointing were the beds. I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. My husband and I had the best night’s sleep all week when we each decided to sleep on a separate couch. I don’t expect princess-quality mattresses, but they were SO bad that I was pretty much in pain all week. My neck and back still hurt. I don’t understand why they don’t at least have mattress toppers to help make things at least a little more comfortable. Would be well worth the small investment. Overall, I think they need new mattresses for the beds and pull out couch, but that’s just my opinion. The beach was gorgeous. Definitely a hike from the hotel to the water, so if you have infants or toddlers, or just a lot of stuff, you will prob want a beach wagon to lug everything out there. We didn’t have a ton of stuff, but I still felt myself dreading that long walk carrying chairs, beach toys, a cooler, etc. I wish they had the option to rent chairs and canopies. Would have definitely taken advantage of that! The view is gorgeous. And it was SO quiet and peaceful at night. Again, I know this is a no-frills resort, but a big fire pit would have made our trip so much better. The pool is tiny and is in the shade for a lot of the day. My daughters didn’t mind this, but I didn’t go in it. The hot tub is for ages 14 and up, and it was the hottest tub I’ve ever been in. So hot that I got dizzy every time I went in and sat in there for more than 10 minutes. I love hot tubs with super hit water, but this water was crazy hot! The balcony is huge. And there wasn’t just a table and chairs, there also was a lounge chair. I enjoyed laying on the lounge chair and reading in the morning while everyone else was still sleeping. We took a day and drove to St. Pete beach. The beach itself was gorgeous, but the overall town didn’t impress us. We also were soooo not impressed by Clearwater. It was so busy and loud, which reminds me of home (Myrtle Beach - which we wanted to get away from). Treasure Island and Madeira Beach are where we generally stayed. This resort would have been a 5/5 if the beds weren’t hard as rocks, and if they had chair/canopy rentals and a fire pit. Those things are generally standard everywhere in this day/age, and I was a bit disappointed without them. I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed those amenities until I didn’t have them. Overall, I’d go back if they did something about the beds. If not, I would prob not return. I don’t think the neck/back pain is worth it. …

We loved the resort. The 1 bedroom unit with full kitchen was large and very clean. The full kitchen, washer and dryer came in handy. The large balcony over looking the gulf was excellent. The front desk folks were great. The only things that need changing is the small bed in the bedroom, should be switched out for king size, and they should use fabric softner for the towels. Other than that it was perfect. The location is close to numerous restaurants and souvenier shopping.

We stayed for a week at Jamaican on the Gulf using our timeshare points. Check in was super easy and the staff were very friendly. We were in a 1 bedroom unit on the top floor. The unit is a bit dated, but super clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was nice being able to cook meals in the unit and eat them on the balcony overlooking the beautiful beach. They have a grill that you can use as well, which we used to cook a delicious steak dinner. There is a jetted tub in the unit, which was a nice bonus. It is located on the beach, but it is a bit of a walk to reach the water. The beach is gorgeous and totally worth it - powder white sand and clear water. We took our bikes and really enjoyed exploring the area on bike. There are many restaurants and things to do within walking distance.…

We have owned at this property since 1984 and it has been kept up very nice all these years. Through the years new kitchens and bathrooms plus furniture and outdoor amenities have been replaced and the resort is very clean. The management has always been superb. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a beachfront vacation to own or stay a few days to a few weeks.

Spent a week at the Jamaican on the Gulf. Older condo unit but very well maintained. Lovely pool and just a short walk away is a huge beach. Cabanas available or lay on the sand on this clean beach. One and 2 bedrooms, that owners rent at times. Kitchen, bedroom(s), shower/tub, 2 sinks in large bathroom. Balcony to a stunning view!! Beautiful place, second trip.

We stayed at Jamaican on the Gulf over Christmas 2018 and New Years 2019 in the Penthouse Suite - 2 bedroom / 2 bath. The suite was spacious enough for our family of 4, including 2 teen boys: 16 & 19. Overlooking the expanse of beach at Treasure Island is probably the biggest perk of this location, followed closely by the 2 km promenade that spans in front of this location. The kitchen is well appointed with a full size fridge, stove and dish washer. If you need other items, the reception will locate them for you or allow you to locate them yourself in the stock room. Laundry facilities are in-room and the units are spacious. The pool is nestled beside this location and is protected from the wind during colder times of the year. There is also a hot tub and barbeque area near the pool.…
