I came to learn that the property is half private owned (and rented via VRBO) while the resort handles the other half of the bookings. I booked a room via Expedia for 3 adults and didn’t think to call the resort for room options.
The room I had 2204 in Tarpoon/Bldg 2 has one small bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom and a living room/kitchen area. My parents (in their 70s) had trouble in the small bedroom. I found sleeping in the couch fine and I was expecting this.
The room came with a few basic towels but to get a small thin pool towel you had to go to reception and leave a $deposit.
At reception I overheard them making another reservation and offering different room setups.
The pool was nice, However does require a longer walk from some buildings. Beach is small but lovely and calm water (bring water shoes). Nice deck to watch the sunrise.
Overall just ok.

Ocean Pointe Suites Key Largo was an aparthotel with no reception on site. A gatekeeper who kept track of the entrance so it felt safe. They were renovating some apartments so there was some construction noise during the day but we were not in the room so it was quiet. Bigger room than I thought. Two bedrooms and two toilets. Luxurious! Great kitchen with toaster and chromecast to the delight of the children. Could not solve travel cot for free but cost 7$ per day. No food available on the hotel grounds but driving distance to many good restaurants and grocery stores. The tennis courts by the pool area we never used. Really luxurious with hot tub, absolutely wonderful. Quiet and fresh pool area. Now it’s November when we were there and it felt like otherwise it was a pool cafe both there and down by the beach but everything closed now which was a shame. No well-kept beach unfortunately, looked terrible and we who looked forward to running SUP were disappointed when we saw that there were only two swampy canoes available. Not like the pictures on TUI. A fun feature was the raccoons on the area.

This property is in a great location with a small beach that was fabulous, boat storage and dock, and is very quiet.
Our family loved the location - about 20 minutes in either direction was so much to do!
Our unit needed some attention though. The dishwasher was broken and leaking - we called the front office several times but they could not fix it. We just kept putting more towels on the kitchen floor to soak up the water. The pots and pans were gross and the kitchen was very dirty. I'm assuming they are short staffed like everyone else and are not keeping up with the deep cleaning of the appliances. We were only planning on cooking breakfasts and easy lunches, but gave up quickly.
The couch, chair, and dining room chairs were really dirty and need replacing.

We had a great time and these inconveniences did not take away from our vacation. I'm not sure if all units were like ours because they are individually owned.

Extremely dated room that just looked really old and worn. Pool was nice, but food cart would blast music over what the pool was playing so you heard two different songs at the same time. Food truck should not be able to play their music at this location. So many people were annoyed. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Emgege, it's concerning to hear about the issues you experienced during your stay, especially in relation to the aesthetics of the room and the noise control near the pool area. Please rest assured that understanding your feedback helps us in our ongoing endeavor to enhance the guest experience. Your comments about the food cart's music will indeed be passed along for consideration. We are sorry to know that you wouldn't return and we hope for another opportunity to provide you with a more pleasant experience in the future.

Beautiful view and location 10 min drive from Islamorada. We always book directly from the Ocean pointe website 2/2. We have stayed here before and have always loved it. This time we had a couples weekend away for our anniversary and as always it was wonderful. We got unit 5409 (2/2 ) the this was located on the top floor with a beautiful view from both the master and kitchen/livingroom area. The master was a King size bed and the guest room was a 2 twin bed room with its own access to a bathroom. We visited this area multiple times a year for fishing and outdoor activities, so we are not in our unit most of the day but it’s nice to come back to a lovely place with beautiful views. We love the pool area the beach area and the dockage for boats.Although there is only a food truck on property ( we have never eaten at because there is a full kitchen so we usually pack item or go to grocery store right up the road to get what we want) It’s a very quite location but close enough to go to local grocery stores and restaurants ( 10-15 min drive to all of islomarada ) I highly recommend , also the staff and check in is easy as can be. restaurants we love the eat at when we are there are Squared grouper , Marker 88 , Lazy Days , Lorelei ( iconic restaurant to area) Chef michael’s and islomarada fish company next to bass pro. Enjoy your time in paradise!

We have stayed here multiple times & love many things about the property. These are privately owned so each unit is set up different. We booked directly with Ocean Pointe as they have the best prices, availability on dates ( min of 3 night stays) & type of rooms you prefer. Our experience has been wonderful at Ocean Pointe Condos they are located south of key largo more in Taveriner which is very low key area but still close enough drive to the islomarada ( 10-15 mins). What we love about the place is the view is so amazing. They have an olympic size pool with a large hot tub, Boat docking , beach area & pier. The pool area has a full bar & a food truck. The property is set back off the main roads & close to a shopping center with a winn dixie , Dunkin’ Donuts &
Mc Donald’s just to name a few things in the area. The room we always choose is a 2/2 , The master has a King size bed & we usually opt for the guest bedroom having 2 twin beds ( 1 queen is another option) but the sofa also pulls out to a queen so plenty of room for 6. The kitchen is fully stock with all the essentials to cook anything & every unit has a washer & dryer. The beds have always been comfy with plenty of pillows & sheets. They also have a guard at gate 24/7 so only people staying in the condos can come in & out which is great added security. We primarily visit for the fishing & snorkeling so we are on the boat most of the days. Can’t wait to go back , it’s our home away from home while visiting to upper keys.

This is the second year we have stayed with Ocean Pointe Resort and love it. We book directly with the resort not on another site we have found the best customer service that way. We primarily come to the area for fishing. snorkeling and sand bar via boat. We stayed in 2/2 with an Ocean view from master and the guest bedroom is with 2 twin beds. Pros: The view from all rooms , property (clean, plenty of parking & secluded) , pool ( olympic size) , pool bar , food truck by pool , beach front area with chairs, a pier , boat ramp and dockage. Cons: The resturant is still closed due to hurricane so if you’re looking for more resturant style food it’s about 2 miles away plus a grocery store. ( not really a con as we aren’t that picky) The location is Taveriner which about 10 - 15 minute drive to Islamorada fish company and Robbie’s is a little further down but there is everything in between. Over all best price and location so close to Islamorada. We will continue to use this place as our lodging whenever we are in the area.

We never got a chance to stay here. They offer boat parking, and we showed up, and boat parking does not include jet skis. We just drove 6 hours and found out we couldn't stay there or we have to pay another $100 to park somewhere else. We ended up going to Reefhouse, and they let us park and use their boat ramp. Oh yeah, and they won't refund us not being able to stay there.

Although the staff at check in was really nice and so was the security guard at the gate that was about all I can say. The condos are not bad need a bit of updating .. the condo next to us was under construction so that was noisy during the day. What really got us upset is we did everything they asked keep all the towels together we swept and cleaned more than most folks do. Here I find out they charged my card $334 dollars for damage to the "dining room" table. Supposedly burn marks. The marks on the table were there when we got there covered by a tray on the table. We never cooked in that condo and noone in my family smokes so would have been real hard for us to do this... If we had I would have reported this right away. We were setup royally so we could get ripped off . Stay away from this place if you do not want to be charged for things you did not do....I cant believe they are this dishonest. I was told not to rent condos that alot will do this kind of thing. Never thought it would happen in the beautiful florida keys. Its a shame I would have considered staying there again but not now.. I have tried to call them about this issue and they are ignoring me.

Hello 631pattik, The damaged table was noticed after your departure and that's why the charge was added to your account. Since then, we have removed the charge for the damaged table after investigating the issue further, as it was the previous guest who damaged it. You should have received an email showing you the credit back on your card.

Stayed here for a week in the building facing the pool and tennis courts.
I’ll start with the positives. Pool was good. Tennis courts good. Parking easy and safe with security at entrance. Apartment spacious.

However the negatives far out weigh the positives and we will not stay here again nor recommend it for the extortionate price. The mattresses on the bed and fold out sofa were brown and old and very uncomfortable.
The dishwasher did not work and there is no plug for the sink (despite asking for one it never came) I used a large pot. Not enough plates and bowls or cutlery for a family of four either. The fan only worked in one room so a lot hotter in the lounge area. The air on was very loud - it wouldn’t take much to put some sound proofing around it.

Whilst we were advised there is no cleaning service during the week I wouldn’t have minded if there was a vacuum and cleaning products to do it yourself but atlas none - just a brush with missing bristles.

The place is very dated and needs either refreshing or price reducing as definitely not worth the $500 per night we paid.

I would spend your money elsewhere.

unfortunately I cannot speak of views from all the units from all the floors, but, the unit i was in was zero view. This is a very unkept facility and before I would even think of an extended stay I would think again. Every other issue I found with this property I stand behind 100%. I am a 40yr plus native of S. Florida, very familiar with the Keys and always looking for a good deal for a one or two day visit, THIS IS NOT!!. Check around and you will find, as I did, if it sounds to be too good of deal it probably is. Look around, pay a little more a have a great vacation instead of a horrible experience. By the way I did contact management with my concerns, they send me an email offering the same deal to stay again, go figure
