Four of us stayed here in a two bedroom suite, After reading reviews, we were somewhat apprehensive. We thought this was a great property for what we needed. This was a pre cruise stay. We wanted to all stay in the same room and have kitchen facilities. Room was clean and ample room for all of us to sit. It was a cold spell, so we did not use the pool or beach. We got great use out of the restaurant/bar the first night. We had appetizers and drinks which were very enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and you knew they enjoyed their job. The big surprise was the quality of the breakfast we had every morning, Transport from the airport was a breeze as was the transport to the cruiseport. We would stay here again. Hopefully a bit warmer to use the pool and beach facilities…
I rarely leave bad reviews, but the only redeeming quality is proximity to airport. There are also closet places though. Bed was awful, sloped towards middle. Fold out couch was terrible, barely useful for a 50# kid . odd, musty smell in hallways and room. Fridge smelled terrible. Pool is very average despite pics on website. No character at all in entire unit and tired furnishings and needs painted at minimum. Outlets in bedroom didn't work so no devices were charged for next day. No dish soap provided for washing dishes.
Stayed in room 247 at Sailport. The condo owner, Tony was quite helpful in the beginning--until I told him something didn't work. The one positive thing I can say is that the condo was spotless. Really, really clean. Here's a room by room summary. Kitchen Coffee pot didn't work. I had to go buy a Kerug. Someone needs to take inventory of the items in the cabinet. 4 dinner plates, 4 sandwich plates, 1 coffee mug and 3 small juice glasses. There was only 1 dishrag and I'm pretty sure it was dirty. Microwave didn't seem to work. Bathroom No hook to hang anything on. Bathtub needs to be refinished. Shampoo, conditioner and soap look like it's been there for quite a while. Grab bar on the shower wall is lose. The other grab bar is between the toilet and tub--useless. This grab bar should be on the other end of the tub. Bedroom TV didn't work. I did text Tony and he said someone would come fix it. Still not working. The mirrored sliding doors to the closet kept coming out of the track. There needs to be a light in the closet, as there is only 1 light in the room, on the other side of the bed. Living Room Furniture looks like it's been around quite a while. Could use some decorations for a more homey feeling. The location was absolutely amazing if you want to see beautiful sunsets. It also was 3 minutes away from where I needed to go. This tiny condo could be amazing with some updating and fixing up. …
Horrible place. Smells like mold. Peeling bathtub. Dirty floor with mildew in the grout. Couch smells like urine! Location is great but man am I regretting staying here! It’s so run down- for what I paid this is insane!
Pros: Perfect location if you are trying to do the Clearwater Beach and Tampa area. Literally right by the airport, but you wouldn't even think that when you are the property. Friendly staff, although the restaurant isn't the best food, it is very convenient and the hours are perfect. The nice large pool area and a great place to see a sunset. The bed was very comfortable. Cons: All the rooms are different, so perhaps this was just our experience, but our room was clean but very outdated - think 1970s dentist waiting room. If you need to use the sofa bed, it is not feasible for an adult to sleep on it for more than a night or two - very uncomfortable. You absolutely need a car or uber - there is nothing to walk to. And reminder no housekeeping, so again, anything more than 2 or 3 days and not having fresh towels, etc. gets hard. …
We went here for an air bnb experience during our stay the property needs some updating but overall it’s well cared for and the balcony view is a huge plus on the beach. We would stay here again. It was also affordable. Easy parking. Friendly atmosphere.
Rooms are old and dated, not clean, smell like cigarettes even though I signed a notice warning me of the no smoking policy. Clearly, they don’t enforce it and I had to pay the price. Bathroom floor tiles are loose and creak when you walk in the small bath. The bed had an EXTREMELY uncomfortable mattress and only one nightstand and I was on that side…and not even an outlet to plug my phone into. Front door does not shut easily, neither do the interior doors….they stick and are noisy. The place is old and dated and no money has been invested in a long time. You r likely better off somewhere else….anywhere else is probably a step up. BIG PASS!!!
We stayed at Sailport Waterfront July 5-10, although our room was clean it had a musty, mildewy smell the entire stay. Ice maker never worked, reported it but wasn’t fixed. We had to buy ice, ice trays. Pieces of the dish sets were missing, no forks at all, spatula, had to go buy them also. Plate, glass, cups, missing. Reported to front desk but no replacements. No offer to reimburse money spent on ice the first night. We did enjoy the balcony, and the fresh air.
This place has a really nice scenery, you're by the bay, and it was awesome to listen to the sounds. The staff were incredibly friendly as well. That's ALL the good stuff... The rooms themselves are HORRID! At first when we checked in and went to our first room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. I went back to the front desk, and requested a new room. Upon entering the room, it too reeked of cigarette smoke, so I just gave up and took the room. I went to Walmart and bought room fresheners and air fresheners to make the stay bearable. Then the horrors were starting to be seen. The beds weren't clean with stains and hair all over. I even had a pillowcase with red stains on it (blood?) The bathrooms were disgusting, it was full of hair and mildew, it was a nightmare! I expressed my concerns to to Sales Manager who was at the front desk at the time, and he said he would pass my concerns to the Director of Operations to call me, I still have not received a call. They don't clean the rooms, even when you make a request. As stated earlier, the bed sheets were stained and had hairs on them, I'm not talking a stray small hair, I'm talking lots of hair where it made me believe these people did not change the sheets before the next guests. I went to the front desk, requested new bedding and went out for the day. I came back and a bag of sheets await me at my door. I went back to the front desk to ask what's going on, and was informed that housekeeping doesn't do daily cleanings, and that she didn't come into the room because they weren't sure if we were in the room or not and that it was COVID protocol to not enter the room. Went back to my room and settled my mind that I would have to make up the bed, but as I pull the sheets out of the bag, they were stained as well. This place is disgusting! AVOID!…
Good first: friendly staff Ample parking always felt very safe Clean sheets Bad Mildew smell was very strong. The rooms seemed dirty Not a hotel so no gym, house keeping, or room service. Very dated facility Felt like an extended stay motel. The furniture and rugs are VERY old And seemed dirty We had 2 suites. 1 was decent, 1 was awful. This isn't my type of place. 3 out of our group voted this the worse part of the trip.
