Booked a one night stay Riverside club level room to watch the Christmas lighted boat parade. Did mobile check in which was ok but still need to stop at the front desk which was quick. (Lindsey/front desk helped with a few other questions and was very friendly and helpful). Be aware you need to use their parking valet service for another $30 so don’t miss that fine print – think you can park somewhere down the street also but too far a walk with luggage etc. We loved sitting outside on our private balcony and watching the boats going by. Unfortunately, it stated to rain so we moved inside and opted to go downstairs for dinner and sat by the river windows-which was lots of fun waving to the boaters. A few comments on the room; quite spacious and had an amazing view of the river and we could see quite far, bed was very comfy, appeared clean, quiet location due to the rain so not many on balconies, the TV was small for the size of the room but ok, no Bible (important to me), only one robe for 2 people but the view was great so really minor issues.
The club level lounge needs attention tho – rather small room, small TV, nice balcony with a couple hi-tables but due to the rain, no one was out there. We checked it out when we first got there in the afternoon and it was filled with kids watching cartoons. There were no parents initially or attendants but soon parents retrieved the kids. No snacks except stale hard candy. We went back later after 5 and a nice attendant was there but were surprised when we were told $4 for wine – never ran into that before, we opted not. Nice selection of a few hors d'oeuvres to have before heading for dinner. Breakfast there was interesting tho – we got there early, and it was pretty full then but as soon as we walked in, the attendant left. Not sure where they went but they were still gone when we left. There was the usual assortment of options – fresh fruit, scrambled eggs (one side with meat and the other without), bacon, no potatoes, toast (no English muffins), yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice etc. By the time we left after finishing breakfast, there were lots more guests there and barely any food. Hopefully the attendant came back with food soon.
Never figured out if there was express check out so just went to front desk. Enjoyed our stay & everyone was very nice. Decent rates, good restaurant, awesome view, etc with a few minor issues. Would recommend and would stay again.

We booked at a pretty good rate. So we didn’t have super high expectations. The room was a bit stuffy, but it was clean. It had the basics, a few glasses, plates, proper stove, sink, dishwasher and full fridge. The property is cute but not exceptional. The facades need a power washing. We were surprised that the tide went out, leaving stagnant puddles in the bay. It was a little smelly because of that. We would probably choose a different location next time because of the possibility of the tide going out each day. The pool was quaint and plenty warm. Seating for about 40-50 comfortably. You can bring your own drinks down, just not glass containers and no coolers which was nice. Housekeeping visits only every 3 days. They did bring us clean towels when we requested. The on site bar/restaurant did have good pizza and drinks.

The location was not far from the airport. We stayed 2 nights. The layout with the two bedrooms worked fine. The kitchenette was equipped with the basics.

Our room was right across from the sand area where they had a corn hole game on the small beach, a few chairs and a fire-pit. It was cold while we stayed there so we didn't make use of the pool. They have an outdoor food area, that served a minimum menu by the pool. There was a breakfast buffet available on Saturday morning Both the cashier and the slim cook had very pleasant personalities! Since it was cold, they closed it up as best they could and provided some heaters.

Make note, the shower in the bath has very limited height. If your tall, you will have a hard time feeling comfortable with how the shower head is positioned.

The front desk staff was informative and friendly. The rooms were average, not luxurious at all, but it met a need. The views were nice. There were several weddings and pre- wedding events going on while we stayed there.

Second time here, and this time the experience was totally different. Room was very, very, very dirty. It seems like the last time somebody swept was in 1991. We were walking barefoot and in just 10 minutes our feet were super dirty. My wife was sneezing all the time during our stay. Also, the hotel can be quite noise.
Oh, and by the way, in this hotel Covid does not exist. Nobody wears mask -even the security guards-, although I have to say the person in the front desk always had her mask. You can see hand sanitizers stations and wipes, but overall guests do not care and hotel is not enforcing.
Also, the kitchen was not equipped like when I stay there a few years ago. There were no frying pan.
However, not everything was that bad. View was really amazing.
Overall, however, we paid $200 per night and for a dirty, dirty room, I think it is too much.

I really did enjoy this hotel, however there's a ton of room for improvement. I definitely understand the bad reviews. So, I'll discuss the pros & the cons here. I tried to check-in earlier than the check-in time, but a room wasn't available which was understandable. So, I spoke to Daniela at the front desk who was awesome by the way. Very pleasant! I requested an upgrade from the pool to a bay view & there weren't anymore available. I then requested a pool view with a nice view of the bay & Daniela stated that they had something, but it wouldn't be ready until 3 or 4. Check-in is at 4 so that was fine. They wound up calling me closer to 3, & I'm glad that I made the request. The pool is off to the side so you see only the bay when you open your curtains. The room is a decent size, it had a separate bedroom & living room area with a full kitchen. I met a few nice people at the pool, & the waitress at the pool's bar/restaurant was really cool with great customer service & she had an awesome memory. Pool was a little small, but the times that I went weren't too crowded. They have a few areas to sit & to just watch the bay if u like or to go fishing. So yea...I liked it! What I didn't like is, that they really need to invest more money into the rooms. Our bed, made a ton of noise. I thought it was gonna break down. The sheets barely fit the bed & it kept coming off. They give u 2 towels. I tried calling the front desk a couple times, but I didn't get an answer. Also, it rained really hard one night & when we got back to the room, one of the end tables were covered with water. It looked like it was coming from the top of the window. Also, if u push the fan button in the bathroom, u will blow a fuse in the room. The fuse box was slightly open & I wasn't sure y, but I understood later. It was an easy fix, but come on now. Get the dang on thing fixed! My last issue was the thin walls. Our neighbors woke me up one night arguing & u can hear every single noise in the hallway, due to the location of the room. If u decide to stay here, I would suggest that you request the 4th floor so noone will be making noises over your head. Would I stay here again? Probably so! Like I said the people were nice & altho some of their stuff is dated, it still was an enjoyable stay & the rooms are reasonably priced.

We booked a four night stay however ended up only staying two nights as we visited and stayed with friends nearby. When we first arrived I wasn’t that impressed with the place as our room was a ways back from the water. Our room was located on the second floor just above the circle where the gym equipment was located. By the end of the stay the hotel and facilities grew on me.
The room itself was small but had everything we needed for our stay. The only thing lacking was a safe in the room but I’m sure if I asked the front desk there would have been one available to rent.
Bed was comfortable and full fridge and stove worked just fine. We had a tile floor (which was preferred over older carpeting) and a older but clean couch. There were two chairs and a small table on the balcony.
The pool was nice and always had enough chairs to accommodate us at any time of the day. The hotel also had a deck with chairs and tables to use to read or have a drink at sunset.
Beach was clean and nice with soft powdery sand and plenty of lounge chairs and palapa’s for shade. The area also had a volleyball court if you were interested in playing a game or two.
Restaurant that was onsite was independently run and was not part of the hotel therefore you couldn’t bill food or drinks to your room which really wasn’t a big deal.
The resort sounded like you were on a tropical island because of the large number of birds singing and chirping away.
Check in and check out was easy and no issues to report at all.
Location: not much in the immediate area as it was more commercial than anything else however if you drive a short distance you have ample shopping or restauranwts close by.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the resort to anyone looking for a getaway in the Tampa area.

The resort was nice and our 1 bedroom was okay. The bedroom and bathroom are separate and the bedroom is a bit small. Not much room to put suitcases. We did put our bigger suitcase in the closet on a stand, which gave us more room to walk around the bed. The bathroom was also small and there was no shelf to put our toiletries.
We arrived in the late evening and decide to try the poolside bar and grill for dinner but found the choices very limiting so we ended up taking the free shuttle to Bahama Breeze, a local restaurant in the area, for a great dinner. We did have breakfast the next morning at the poolside bar and grill and found it very basic. We did not have the weekend buffet, only pancakes. Since we were leaving early the next morning, we purchase a couple of pastries from the local market to have in our room with the coffee provided.
The people who assisted us at the front desk were very pleasant and the shuttle driver, Phil, was very pleasant and went out of his way to take us to the market, twice, while transporting us to and from the resort and local restaurants.
Aside from Bahama Breeze and Whiskey Joe's, which are both very popular and very good, the restaurant choices in the area around the resort are minimal. Therefore, the 2 restaurants we did go to were packed with people. Fortunately, the wait time, considering the number of people waiting, was not bad.
Overall, it was a pleasant 2-night stay.

If you are looking for a clean and pleasant place to stay with your family during your vacation, on a reasonable budget, I would by all means recommend the Sailport Waterfron Suites. This place exceeded our expectations during our 4th of July family vacation. After being disgustingly disappointed with a couple ofnother places that we had reserved for our July vacation in 2019, I was skeptical and did a lot of research before booking this place. And now we are so glad we stayed here. We will definitely be staying here again, as we travel to Tampa often. We were very please with Everything, from the cleanliness of the sorrounding areas and the unit, as well as the view. And most of all, there was no noise heard inside the unit during quiet times. Next time, I will choose one of the suites with The Bay View! Thank you for meeting our expectations Sailport Waterfront Suites!! :)

This place has a really nice scenery, you're by the bay, and it was awesome to listen to the sounds. The staff were incredibly friendly as well. That's ALL the good stuff... The rooms themselves are HORRID!

At first when we checked in and went to our first room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. I went back to the front desk, and requested a new room. Upon entering the room, it too reeked of cigarette smoke, so I just gave up and took the room. I went to Walmart and bought room fresheners and air fresheners to make the stay bearable.

Then the horrors were starting to be seen. The beds weren't clean with stains and hair all over. I even had a pillowcase with red stains on it (blood?) The bathrooms were disgusting, it was full of hair and mildew, it was a nightmare! I expressed my concerns to to Sales Manager who was at the front desk at the time, and he said he would pass my concerns to the Director of Operations to call me, I still have not received a call.

They don't clean the rooms, even when you make a request. As stated earlier, the bed sheets were stained and had hairs on them, I'm not talking a stray small hair, I'm talking lots of hair where it made me believe these people did not change the sheets before the next guests.

I went to the front desk, requested new bedding and went out for the day. I came back and a bag of sheets await me at my door. I went back to the front desk to ask what's going on, and was informed that housekeeping doesn't do daily cleanings, and that she didn't come into the room because they weren't sure if we were in the room or not and that it was COVID protocol to not enter the room. Went back to my room and settled my mind that I would have to make up the bed, but as I pull the sheets out of the bag, they were stained as well. This place is disgusting! AVOID!

We had an upgrade and got a nice apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The room overlooked the bay as booked, and the balcony was great. Ther room was at the far end of the hotel and it was quite a long walk from the reception to the room. The small restaurant at the pool is not connected to the hotel and we could not charge the dinner to the room.
