This hotel was disgusting. To begin with we got in the room and there was black hair on everything including our bed, towels, floor, pillows. The bathroom was a nightmare, old soap bar sitting in the shower, drain clogged and not a clean sink either. Stains on the walls/ floors. We asked for clean sheets and the manager said he would bring some up for when we got back and he lied and did not bring us any clean blankets or sheets to sleep with. Could not sleep knowing the filth we were dealing with. I do not reccomend staying here.

These pictures are FALSE ADVERTISING! Maybe the hotel looked like in the past but it is a run down dump and dirty! Nothing like the pictures The bed mattress is not properly secured, tipping to one side, bathroom faucets - the hot is cold - the cold is hot, shampoo bottle fell off the wall, dirty bathroom & the bathroom sink didn’t drain, the sliding glass door didn’t close all the way or lock, the lock to our room door didn’t work “dead” Nothing is clean. A huge hair ball was left in the hall way our entire stay, the “cleaning” staff just left it there every day They blast music all day through to 10pm Our clubs soccer teams stayed at this place - an absolute nightmare

This might be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. For starters the room we received was FILTHY. The floors were dirty, there was dust everywhere, and hair shavings on the bathroom walls. It pretty much went downhill from there. The sink would not drain, the shower head would leak all over from where it attached to the spout and flood the bathroom. No matter how low we put the air on, the room didn’t seem to cool off. The ice machines don’t work on the floors and you have to go all the way to the front desk where they have a chest freezer of ice. There is no cleaning during the evening and if you want to request a cleaning via the room phone it doesn’t even work, you have to physically go down to the front desk to ask for your room to be cleaned and to get towels. Half of the time the toilets don’t flush so you have to have maintenance come and fix it. There is a mediocre mini fridge in the room that seems to differ from room to room. The fitted sheets don’t actually fit the bed so they fall off anytime you move in the slightest bit. The floor tiles throughout the hotel are literally cracking and falling apart and the ceiling has leak patches and areas throughout the building. It is most definitely NOT worth the price you pay to stay at this place and I would NEVER stay there ever again. I’m extremely disappointed considering how nice the website makes this place look. I wanted to give in the benefit of the doubt but all of the other reviews are right, this place is a dump.…

Great location, had a waterfront view very nice, has 2 pools, 1 pool hosts events which I went to an had a lot of fun! The staff was friendly. 30 min Ybor city an 30min to Clearwater an close to the airport

This place is in need of a remodeling. Rooms are in terrible shape. Very dirty, even had roaches. Drapes we full of holes. The floors had water damage, tiles buckled. The a/c sounded like a freight train.

Very cute beach/coastal vibe to this hotel. From the Shuttle driver, the front desk staff, the bartender at the WTR grill and the cleaning staff…service was wonderful!! Also loved the gorgeous view of Tampa Bay from our balcony! Our dog even enjoyed her stay and we appreciated the dog-friendly feel and special area to use. If you are looking for clean, well-kept surroundings i recommend you don’t look too closely or stay somewhere else. For us, the positives of The Godfrey overruled and we would stay here again!

This hotel is super ratchet. Sashie was super cool but be careful for gabby. They will steal your possessions so be such you keep tabs on all you personal items. I will be staying here ever again. They have a guard on property as well which says a lot

We booked three nights stay at the hotel on a Wednesday Thursday and Friday night. Upon our arrival they gave us an early check in to a room which was a little bit older but clean and functional. The balcony had a view of the pool and the bay which was wonderful. The pool was a little bit cold because it's not heated but we managed to swim. The rest of the hotel was quite acceptable and served really well as a homebase and place to relax in the sunshine during the daytime. It was quite near other restaurants that we could visit and only A short Uber ride to downtown Tampa. We would definitely go again. My recommendation is that if you are looking for a five-star hotel you're in the wrong place. If you want a retro hotel that is clean and fun and a good price… Then this is for you.…

Not updated. Dirty hotel and outdated. The pool chairs were dirty also and had burn marks from cigarettes. The elevator had paint splattered all over the floor. Our hallway to our room and our room smelled like smoke. Ther were burn marks on the vinyl planking. Looked like blood stains on the planking as well. The shower bathtub was dirty. With hair. The toilet bowel was dirty and stained. Not a 3.5 star hotel.
