Great concept for a hotel. A former courthouse that has renovated into a hotel. The staff especially Lalithia was so friendly. She told me about the features of hotel and Marriott privileges. I recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to be near downtown Tampa. And the room was large and comfortable.
The hotel and rooms were beautiful. Unfortunately our air conditioning didn’t work in our room and they didn’t care. I am a very loyal Marriott customer who travels often for work. This is my second poor experience in a row at a Marriott and I don’t know if I will be frequenting them anymore
We stayed at Le Meridien Tampa while we were in town for the 2022 SEC basketball tournament. The hotel was beautiful. We stayed in Room 215 and it was amazing! Huge room (large enough for a sectional couch) and very nice bathroom. Bathroom even had a window which gave nice natural light. The hotel was very clean. Nice that it's within walking distance of Amalie Arena and the Tampa Riverwalk. Bedding was very nice and towels were nice and thick. Highly recommend this property!
I reserved and pre-paid nearly $600 for a Corner Delux Guest room for the ngiht of my wedding. When I checked in that evening Le Meridien told me there were no Corner Delux Guest rooms - they had over-booked/sold the rooms. I complained that the rooms was reserved and paid for. Le Meridien said too bad, gave me an inferior room and charged me the same price. Also watch out for Le Meridien's "upgrade" trick. Le Meridien tried to concel the bait and switch by offering an "upgrade" but that room was clearly inferior and obviously not an upgrade.
Excellent service. Remarkable attention at bar and restaurant. Ideal location as well; 10-15 minutes from the city’s most desirable restaurants and attractions. Comfortable and social location. Highly recommended!
We both loved our stay at the Le Meridien. The rooms were very clean and cozy, it was such a Coll place to stay as they converted the old court house into a hotel. I loved the layout of the hotel and the rooms. The staff was very nice and helpful during our stay. I would highly recommend a stay here while in Tampa. We did have breakfast here in the morning and it was nothing too special. It was during Covid and still had quite a few restrictions in place so I would like to check it out again.
We were staying here for a wedding in town. The rooms were reformatted offices. Nicely laid out. Minimal conveniences. A desktop table and a nightstand. No coffee maker. Walking through the hallways you can get an air of business of law that went on in this former court house. Negatives on our stay: could not adjust the room temperature above 71°. So it was a cold night's sleep. The beds were ultra soft. Too soft for me. Even though the minor discomforts, we would stay here again.
Helpful, kind staff. Restaurant was good. Not your "run of the mill" chain hotel. Cool what they did with this former court house. Felt safe and was in walking distance of Amalie Arena and waterfront.
This place feels like an authentic hotel from its age even though it wasn’t always the case. Nice old looking high ceilings and very large rooms. I def wasn’t used to staying in a room this low to the ground in an urban area. WiFi is decent, and it’s very clean. Pool likes nice although I didn’t swim in it. The first elevator (closest to the front desk) seemingly used to be birdcage but it runs fine. The second (nearest the pool) was a bit slow and also travels a little bit further. I’d label that higher area the 6th floor. The last elevator is in between. Given this city has so many options I have no idea where I’d stay if I came again.
Great location and in a very cool renovated former court house. Friendly staff.. Patrick who checked us in was warm & welcoming. Room was clean and a good size. The gym was a little disappointing it needs an upgrade on all of the cardio machines which was not in great shape as well some more updated equipment along with mats for the guests to use.
