Stayed 4th of July weekend, hotel was deserted as was most of downtown. Definitely not the hotel's fault. It's quite charming and a little odd being an old courthouse. I liked it though. Rooms have very tall windows, original oak doors, and gigantic windows. Good location to most attractions. Staff was pleasant, if not overly so. I have stayed at Le Meridien before and the brand is not as friendly as a Marriott, but that's ok. Loved the toiletries, room was not serviced due to the pandemic, but they did provide fresh towels and collected the used ones. I would stay here again

The hotel is beautiful we were upgraded to a corner room that was huge, all of the staff we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. There are many restaurants in walking distance. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Tampa!

Le Meridien lies virtually in the middle of downtown Tampa and makes some inventive use of their converted-courthouse space. I was pleasantly surprised by the European flair with which the lobby and in-house restaurant and bar (Bizou's, replete with a welcoming bar and light French music throughout the day). It's a striking contrast to the building itself, which could never be mistaken for anything other than an enormous courthouse, but Le Meridien manages to make the space both vast and intimate simultaneously. The restaurant/bar opening up to the courthouse steps outside is a nice touch. Our room was a standard size with a soft-enough-to-sink-into king bed and well-appointed. In most other hotels, the actual square footage of the room would be unremarkable; but those old courthouse rooms add about 3-4 feet to the ceilings, which makes the room seem absolutely enormous and more comfortable. Le Meridien has done a phenomenal job converting this space! Perhaps the only shortcoming I can think of is that, with the limited outdoor space available to the building, the pool is positioned a bit awkwardly next to the building. There are a scant two hours of direct sunlight afforded to the pool deck before the building casts a shadow over it for the remainder of the day. It's unfortunately a trek from the pool to the bar at Bizou's as well. Overall, the experience at Le Meridien was pleasant, and would happily stay again next time out!

I thought I was going to love this boutique hotel but wasn’t pleased at all. My husband booked it for Valentines Day. Our small room was on the lower level. It was okay but not worth the price at all. The shower door tracking was black with mold. We were told shuttle service was “first come, first serve” to the arena. We arrived early to lobby to get in queue for shuttle service. We were told from the manager we would be in the next group to board shuttle upon it’s return. We had been waiting for 35 mins. Because of terrible traffic shuttle was taking extremely long turn around times. A woman and her husband came off elevator and asked about shuttle. They were told that the next one was full and they would have to wait for a later one. When the shuttle finally came a bunch of people including that couple that just came down to lobby, ran to the shuttle and left. All the people that were waiting so patiently inside lobby (that there were told by manager the next group to go ), were left behind. I asked the manager what happened and he said he didn’t know. We had to walk to arena in the rain to avoid being late for the Andrea Bocelli concert. I had high heels on and this wasn’t fun in the rain on cobblestone streets. Very disappointing!

Thank you for your feedback, and to hear about the disorganization of the shuttle. That's not the typical scenario. I will follow up with the housekeeping department regarding the other concerns you had. We hope you give us another opportunity to make Le Meridien your home away form home as this is not the norm for us,. Thank you and travel safe!

The exterior of the hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The lobby is also nice. The staff is friendly. It pretty much stops there. Issue #1) When we checked-in our room key did not work, so back down to the lobby to get a new key. The clerk gave us a new key & came with us to our room. The new key also did not work. Interestingly, his key worked, so he gave us HIS key & left us. Issue #2) The room was freezing. It was set for 72 degrees when we walked inn but was registering 66 degrees. We called the front desk who sent someone. We thought that they were sending someone to work on it, but they sent a woman who just looked at it, asked that we give it 30+ minutes, & if it still said 66 degrees by then that she would send a guy up to work on it. We were FREEZING! Nothing seemed to help until we turned the heat on & got it up tp 72 degrees. CRAZY! #3) Know that the hotel is a square-shape. There are rooms on the outside of the square, looking out at the city, as well as rooms on the inside of the square, looking at a courtyard of sorts. This courtyard doesn't have trees or flowers, it's all concrete & mechanical equipment. The absolutely worst, most depressing view one can imagine. While it was sunny out, our room was still somewhat dark. Sadly, we did not enjoy our stay at Le Meridian.
