Rooms were clean and hotel staff was friendly. Steve A management for breakfast area went above and beyond to accommodate our large group. Always a smile and everything is a yes. Housekeeping was pleasant. Only down is valet. It takes forever regardless of size of crowd and texting on ticket doesn’t work. The pool is nice. View is exceptional.
This is not a hotel for business travelers. Check-in was chaos, and they would not allow the reservation to remain on our corporate card account but required a personal card, not for incidentals but for the total amount (expense reporting will be a nightmare). There are not nearly enough elevators for the guests, and 1 of 4 was not working for our entire stay, resulting in long waits and overflowing elevator rides. The hotel was FILLED with large middle and high school groups of unsupervised tweens. In the Fitness Center, 10-year-olds would come in and throw medicine balls at each other while people tried to work out. The pool was unusable - just chaos. The free buffet breakfast was absolute mayhem, with outages and gangs of kids running, screaming, and cutting lines. The hotel was SO loud all night that sleep was difficult to come by. There is no room housekeeping unless you ask specifically in advance. My husband accidentally left some expensive business clothes in a closet and called with the precise location and information the following day. It's been a week, and no one has responded to the inquiry. Embassy Suites Tampa Downtown Convention Center may be an economical option for school groups, but you'll want to avoid this for another option if traveling on business. …
This hotel is conveniently connected to the Convention Center by a short walkway. Hotel activities (breakfast, happy hour, coffee shop) are well planned, efficient, and easy to access. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the staff, who went out of their way to be helpful, especially Crys, Jose, Mark, and Matt. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
After a long drive and getting on the road an hour and a half late for a game that started at 7:00 that evening at Amelie Stadium. I finally arrived at Embassy Suites. From The smiling faces at the valet, executed the traffic and parking of the vehicles with such ease, at least it appeared they appeared to be on top of everything. Have to walking in front to the front desk and being greeted by a very nice young lady with blonde hair unfortunately I didn't grab her name she checked me in she told me where to go had to get there tell me enjoy my room and have a great evening I thanked her very much told her I was very excited and made my way to my room. After getting into my room all I wanted to do was sit down sadly I sat down and barely made it to the arena ticket in hand all I wanted to do was stay in my room. I mustered my way up walked across Thunder Alley and made it to my destination of Amelie Arena. Jose at Embassy Suites answered the phone when I called the front desk and inquired about a late check out. He said he understood my plight and made sure that he took care of it. As to his word, he kept it. The valets were so quick to get my car as I needed to retrieve it and very pleasant. When I checked out this morning I was greeted Again by two very lovely faces a gentleman by the name of Rob and a gentleman by the name of Kevin they were Overjoyed to hear about my stay invited me to come back and I explained that I most definitely will I'm a huge hockey fan! When I called them today for a hockey game next week Matthew answered the phone said unfortunately there was nothing he could do for me but he did advise that he would leave a message and asked me to contact the manager Kevin, (not the earlier Kevin, but Kevin non the less) after 3:00 tomorrow I look forward to speaking to him once again and again I look forward to staying in their hotel the accommodations were amazing the people were very friendly and accommodating the food for breakfast was delicious I can't say enough great things about this facility. Except, I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in downtown tampa!…
The bar area was slammed but the service was excellent and very friendly and fast. Particularly Jacob, Taylor, and Joe. Jacob was running non stop the entire time I was seated and always had on a smile and very personable.
Breakfast was great - shout-out Steve A for being the best with a great friendly smile . Only issue I have with this hotel is the elevators, they take a long time and one was out of service. Would stay here again though!
The breakfast was amazing, the fruit is always so fresh which I admire. They have a wide selection of different foods to choose from and a Omelette station where you can choose what you want and they’ll build it for you. The lines are fast and easy. Steve was one of the staff that continued to help and contribute to helping the group of people I was traveling with.
I had a good experience at this hotel. The breakfast service is great and the food is tasty. They have many different items for breakfast and are very organized. Very happy with my stay! Steve helped me lots!
Randall at the front desk was extremely helpful and started our stay off with a smile. Excellent customer service! The hotel is in great condition and the rooms are perfect. The evening reception and omelette bar top it off. We had a great stay and look forward to coming back
