This is an old hotel with some charm. Upon arrival we were slapped with a 15$ valet or self park. It's kind of a seedy area, they should offer a better parking option for 15 bucks. I was part of a large group attending a wedding so there were many of us who stayed. Everyone I spoke to had issues... More

This place had been abandoned and closed down for nearly 30 years and a Greek family bought it and decided to remake it and conserve it. Place is impressive, with antique furniture and chandeliers everywhere. Personnel could use a little training, as I found some to be rude and unwilling to help.

The Palace Floridian was built in the 1920s and is still a beautiful place to visit. The lobby is amazing and features two bars and a restaurant. No continental breakfast but they do have coffee downstairs. The original bar is amazing and one should definitely visit on their trip. The rooms were okay and the corner rooms are much better.... The hotel has been nicely restored. The furnishings are very nice, though the bed was very, very firm. Some simple amenities, such as a coffee maker and hand lotion were missing. The view was great. It was quiet. I saw no other guests at all. Nice bar for a business chat. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. I was surprised, because... More

Stayed there for a night on our trip back to Detroit from Key West, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. Booked this hotel because it was advertised as historic and price is reasonable. So surprised that downtown is so dead, a handful of people walking, nothing going on except for some panhandlers hanging out in street corners. Felt uneasy after coming from... More

I was very excited to stay at a place with so much history. The whole place was quiet and clean. The carpets were even plush. I stayed for two nights and loved every bit of my stay. If I were to improve on anything it would be on the mattress and the sheets. The mattress was a little too firm... More

Very nice old school hotel. The location is just on the edge of the 'nice' part of downtown, it's easy to walk to most places of interest from there.I got a corner room near the top and it was huge with great views, especially for the price I paid. They've clearly put in a lot of effort with the decor,... More

The architecture, views, and staff were wonderful. We stayed on the top floor, which was beautiful, however it took a very long time to get a proper shower. I know, first world problems, but I'm just calling it like I see it. There was a eco-friendly head on the shower, which only meant I took a longer shower waiting for... More

This is a beautiful remodeled old hotel in downtown Tampa. We recently stayed in it for a long weekend. Our room was spacious. The lobby has been redone in a beautiful manner. The staff was friendly. Nice bar on mezzanine. Nearby parking is available.

Despite its opulence and friendly employees, the management, or lack thereof, turned me completely against ever using this beautiful site for my daughter's wedding reception. On Wednesday I called ahead to make sure that I could park in the lot behind the hotel for lunch and a second look at the ballroom and facilities. All was approved. Our lunch was... More
