Nice decor. Easy parking. Staff needs customer service training. It doesn’t matter if you’re Marriott Bonvoy, some not very friendly, even rude. Room was nice except sink was clogged for half the time of two night stay. No big deal as long as you don’t mind brushing your teeth in the shower. Food was decent. Meeting space was pretty good. Other options in the area if you stay at Marriott properties for probably $50-100 less a night.

Very nice place, comfortable rooms, good location and excellent service. Free parking is a nice perk too. Hotel looks very clean, bathrooms are ample and the decoration is modern. Nightly price is fair and moderate.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy ride over and back on airport shuttle they will also take you to nearby restaurants. Plenty of good places to eat and shopping at fashion mall connected to the hotel. Was treated to a super duper upgrade suite. Nice pool that opens early and also a nice workout room. Yummy appetizers and dessert in the evening and great breakfast at the executive lounge. Rooms are super quiet even though next to the airport runway....also some nice shaded spots to sit outside for morning coffee.

When there’s a storm in your family’s life like a hurricane, it is such a comfort to know they are at a “home away from home.” Though some of the staff couldn’t work due to Idalia, all of the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza hotel staff went above and beyond to make the checkin seamless and the room was as comfortable as could be under the stressful circumstances. Even the fur babies were thoughtfully provided a covered relief area. It brings peacefulness of mind to the mother of a Floridian resident to know there’s a “hometel” in the Marriott family in Tampa, Florida

I liked the location of the hotel as it is located next door to a shopping mall that features lots of good stores and amenities for those exploring the Tampa area in the USA. Really enjoyed my stay here. Hope to come back here in the future! Thank you!

Upon arrival, I noticed that there is valet parking and ample surface parking for hotel guests. The property sits next to a mall allowing for excess parking, as well. Once I entered the hotel, I was greeted by the warm and professional front desk personnel and quickly was registered and in my spacious and amazingly clean room in less than five minutes. This was 6p.m. on a Friday. Throughout my two night stay, the staff that I encountered were wonderful; friendly, helpful and professional. I didn't utilize the facilities such as the pool or gym, however, did enjoy the courtyard and room service. Aside from the hotel being exceptional, it is convenient to many chain and unique restaurant experiences. Further worth mentioning, I never heard any noise from the airport which is practically next door to the hotel. I look forward to my next get away to Tampa.

Prior to our arrival on the day of arrival (June 3) we received notice that we had been upgraded using 2 of our suite upgrades. However, upon arrival the front desk lady immediately said “excuse me, I’ll be right back”. She returned to tell us we had not been upgraded, but my manager will return your suite upgrades. Upon check out (June 5) I again confirmed our 2 upgrades would be returned. Today (June 7) my Marriott account showed my suite upgrades had been DEDUCTED. I then called the hotel, but was NOT allowed to talk to a manager but was told it would be taken care of. I also reached out by email & cell to the front desk manager, Christine Johnson. And again - NO response. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone due to the complete lack of management accountability. Sincerely Unhappy Room 626 Guest

Went to shower and the shower wall was covered in hair. When I say covered I'm not meaning a strand or two but several which makes me absolutely sure that bathroom wasn't properly cleaned before our arrival and have us questioning wether the entire room was clean prior. We did call the front dest to have the bathroom cleaned but it was unacceptable to begin with. Highly disappointed in the cleanliness during our stay.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for several days in mid-May. We had a king size room and enjoyed access to the Club Lounge. Having had several disappointing hotel experiences earlier in the month, it was such a pleasure to look forward to returning to our lovely hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We will return!

The Renaissance Tampa used to be our favorite hotel, but over the years, its quality has declined significantly. It is with regret that I must downgrade this once 4-star establishment to a 3-star rating. My most recent stay was a complete disappointment, and I don't plan on returning. The inconveniences started right from the beginning when I couldn't find a place to offload my bags since the valet parked cars in the front of the hotel. I had no choice but to manually carry my luggage to my room because there were no luggage carts available. This unfortunate situation resulted in a back injury that ruined my entire trip. To add to my frustration, the guest parking lot was taken over by people who set up a large tent and started a loud BBQ party, leaving trash scattered everywhere. Moreover, the hotel was constantly noisy, with loud music blaring and teenagers running through the halls at all hours of the night. The final night was particularly dreadful, as the fire alarm went off at 2 am, forcing all guests to evacuate until the fire department deemed it safe to return. The lack of sleep was incredibly frustrating. During check-out, there were no carts available again, so I asked guest services if they had any. Their response was an unhelpful "no" with the suggestion that they would bring one to my room when they found it. Eventually, I took matters into my own hands and searched each floor until I finally found a cart. What surprised me the most was that the staff at guest services seemed completely unaware of the evacuation incident, showing no empathy or concern. I wondered about the security of the building and whether it was the hotel's responsibility to gather the carts instead of making guests search for them. Considering all these disappointments, I cannot justify spending my money on this hotel anymore. I regretfully conclude that it is no longer worth the investment.
