My mom and I stayed here for 8 weeks while she had treatment at Moffit. It's a pretty typical Res Inn, clean and the beds were comfortable. COVID precautions were taken in terms of food, cleaning, using the gym, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful, including Juan, Corrine, Felecia, Nancy, Evan, and Holly. Our only complaint wasn't a hotel issue, it was that is was a little loud at times because we were on the main street side.
I made a complaint to Marriott about this hotel on March 13, 2021. I received an email back saying someone from the executive team at the hotel would contact me within 3 to 5 business days. As of 3/31, I have not heard back from the hotel in spite of sending 2 additional email to Marriott. This hotel should not be a Residence Inn. We were in room 702 and the street noise is terrible. I ran the AC fan constantly and even tried tuning the radio to an AM and no station for white noise and still the street noise was unacceptable. The pots were not clean, there were stains on the carpet and tub. Only plain Lipton tea bags were available. The paper towel dispenser in the lobby bathroom was empty.
We were in town for a month and found this hotel to have the friendliest staff we've ever encountered. Our room was clean and quiet despite the hotel being full for most of our stay. Great location, too. 10/10 would stay again! Kitchenette included: full size refrigerator, stovetop (4 burners) and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster. All necessary dishes were included (we cooked every meal).
Let me give you just the facts and you decide… “Due to COVID restrictions”: 1. The hotel does NOT offer daily housekeeping. It is offered every 5 days. 2. The hot breakfast is served grab and go. It consists of a warm English muffin with egg, cheese and meat. They also serve ONE fresh fruit - banana OR apple, bagel, cream cheese spread, pre-packaged boiled eggs, yogurt, water, coffee and juice. Breakfast does NOT include any fruit spread, peanut butter, or cereal with milk. (We did not stay over the weekend so maybe those are offered then.) We stayed for 3 nights and the hotel served us well. The air conditioning in our room was very cold. The location is very centrally located to the local attractions. The room has a full kitchen that includes a 2 burner stove top, full size refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. At the end of our stay, everyone was glad to be home and thankful for their own beds……
Chose this hotel for a nearby pickleball tournament because of it's close proximity to HCC/Raymond James stadium and the fact we could get a 2 room suite. Found the room was spacious, clean, well stocked, and to our delight, had a balcony. Unfortunately, the bed was only a queen but comfortable. Breakfast offerings were yogurt, bananas, packaged muffins, and packaged bagels. Nothing to write home about. A few breakfast sandwiches were put out on Thurs. and Fri. morning but were quickly paper-bagged by a few guests. Found the pool area quiet and relaxing. Although considered an airport hotel, we did not experience any loud airplane noise. Friendly staff.
