Travelers' Choice
From the moment it first opened its doors on New Year's Eve 1930, The Surf Club, located in the northern Miami beaches, has hosted history. Once favored by guests including Frank Sinatra and Winston Churchill, a new tradition now begins with Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, where the eternal allure of the shoreline is paired with the brilliance of Pritzker-prize winning architect Richard Meier and interior designer Joseph Dirand. In addition to the meticulously restored clubhouse and cabanas, Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club features 77 bright and spacious guest rooms, including five unique Cabana Studios, in new buildings that surround the original clubhouse. Amenities include three pools, a pristine beach, cabanas, a holistic spa, and fitness center, and a kids’ club paradise. Oceanfront cocktails and dining is offered at Champagne Bar and Restaurant in the historic heart of the Hotel where the grandeur of The Surf Club’s storied ballroom has been re-imagined into a new world-class dining experience. Enjoy simple yet sophisticated Mediterranean cuisine from sunrise to sunset, prepared by Executive Chef Antonio Mermolia and the largest selection of Champagnes in Miami alongside an exciting mixology program led by Head Bartender Valentino Longo. With Collins Avenue outside the front door, prestigious Bal Harbour shopping is nearby and the nightlife of South Beach and Miami are just a short drive away.

I've now stayed here 3 times and can't wait to go back. I love how the staff know you by name and are so insanely attentive. I love the location (I never leave once there). I love the beach and the beach bar and the pool areas. I love the Champaign Bar - what a vibe set on pure looks alone. I love the bartenders - Yen walked us out to the beach, and Valentino and his crew signed their cocktail menu for me. I love that the Surf Club restaurant is attached and has so many seating options. My wife and I enjoy the bar there the most as it's warm and inviting and not ostentatious. For our last stay, we didn't get a Cabana room, but instead had an ocean front room on the 12th floor. Just stunning. What a view. And we love Jackson bringing us breakfast each morning with his wonderful smile. Salmon benedict and bacon is a great way to start each day! We head to the beach after breakfast and just rot under the umbrellas. The water is always warm and varies a lot depending on winds. When it gets too hot, we head up to the kid's pool under the tower where you get a strong cool breeze. Lunch at Winston's is a must. Nothing on the menu disappoints. Back to the room to clean up and then hit the Champaign Bar and their fun menu of cocktails and apps. Fun chat with the bartenders. Then ponder staying for an Italian dinner there or off to the Surf Club. There is no wrong choice.

We loved every minute we spent at this beautiful resort. The grounds, the staff, amenities, food, even the ocean was on its best behavior. The property is gorgeous and very tastefully designed and decorated, the rooms are spacious, beautiful and extremely comfortable, the staff is the best part of this experience hands down, everyone is very polite and helpful, expectations are always met and often exceeded.

We just returned from a quick trip to Surfside. We’ve always stayed at the St Regis down the block and frankly have become fed up so we decided to try the Four Seasons. The hotel itself it a beautiful ornate yet modern space. The entrance is almost invisible and the lobby floor has many small sitting areas arranges far from each other so it’s a much more incognito vacation versus see and be seen. The room itself it very tastefully decorated albeit a bit smaller than expected. We stayed in a studio suite and had a beautiful wrap around porch facing the ocean and hotel courtyard. The bathroom was significantly smaller that the St Regis bathrooms but the shower pressure was incredible. No tub which was disappointing. The staff was very cordial and accommodating, the only issue we had was a cleanliness issue which was resolved swiftly. We were thrilled with the pool as we found a completely private one with no other swimmers and no sun bathers. All in all a beautiful classy hotel.

I dont write reviews often, and to begin, I have been travelling and staying at the Four Seasons for almost 16 years, I would have considered myself a loyal customer. And to be honest they have always been fantastic. However, in recent years I have had more than one 'bad' experience. The first 'bad' experience was in the Thailand and I wrote to the hotel and then the regional managers to get it 'addressed'. I wrote it off as a one off experience. After COVID, this was our first family trip we are a family of 6, so it wasnt cheap to say the least. We stayed at the Four Seasons Orlando first and sadly convinced another family to stay to travel with us and stay at the Four Seasons with us. The stay was horrible on some many levels and to think it was so embarrassing to have the other family be treated so poorly. Then we came to the Surside property and to our surprise the same nonsense continued here, the poor service, and by no means a 5 star resort experience. After coming back home, I wrote to the Four Season Orlando and asked them to have someone from Surfside reach out to me, and no one did. I followed up with the regional manager and after speaking to him asked someone at Surfside to reach out to me again, and to this day no one has contacted me let alone rectify the situation. Needless, to say, I would NEVER recommend the property, and would tell you to stay at another resort, this doesnt come lightly after being a loyal customer, which clearly means nothing to Four Seasons.
