Boy-oh-boy, I wish that I had the ability to read the reviews on this place before I checked in. Except for road noise, I echo everything that the other reviewers said. I'll also add that the air conditioner in my room had a LOUD noise emitting from it ... I'd guess that the blower motor had bad bearings ...

We checked in and had to contact the front desk right away to work the A/C. He came immediately. Then had to call him again about the TV, but again he came right away. Then had to call him again about towels, as there was only one towel, but a party of 2. He always had the right attitude and was always happy to comply. Had a good night sleep and enjoyed my coffee and danish, the next morning. I give it a 4 stars !

The owner Kay was very welcoming, even walked us to our room and helped us turn the lights on. The room had a wall air conditioner in the hall area away from the beds which is nice. The room had a microwave and old warm refrig. The lamp shade by the bed was badly torn, the carpet by the window was bad. The tub was peeling, hole in wall in bathroom. The mattresses were hard and the worse part is the noise from the road and outside. Morning came, went for our free coffee, fruit and danish. Wasn't ready until after 8am, their coffee pot did not work. Finally got my terrible coffee. However the owners daughter was very trying and nice.

Room was clean, the front desk people were polite and friendly, the maintenance man was courteous and prompt in fixing the cable. The old building is solid and we didn't hear any noise from doors slamming and tv's in adjacent rooms etc.. The bathroom door was splintered and simply painted over, the bath tub had paint over chipped areas, there were no amenities such as in room coffee maker or blow dryer. Skimpy on pillows, 2 standards on a king bed. The room was on the first floor and the carpet was filthy. Ice machine worked but looked dirty. Outside area not clean and no landscaping whatsoever. My husband overheard a new customer complaining about their room and requesting a refund in office. If you go here, ask to see your room before paying.

We had a business trip coming up and a good friend got me the friends and family rate with Choice Hotels. Unfortunately, all of the others in the chain were booked and I rolled the dice and went with this motel. Bad choice. The second we walked into the room we knew that it wasn't safe, my adult daughter and myself took turns sleeping because we were worried about our safety. Here is a short list of why we left after ONE night in a four night work trip. 1. The room was FILTHY, like sticky floor, bugs in the room, burn holes in the thin comforter (no other blankets), mirror looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month way. There was graffiti in the bathroom, blood on the door and shower curtain. It was obviously an old motel that a half hearted attempt was made to update. The cable was out and TV non functioning. The kicker was that it was an adjoining room with a non functioning lock, at one point a very scary individual opened the door and looked at us. Still with me? This is where it gets good. I got up the next morning and went to the office with my key and said I was checking out. When asked why the clerk proceeded to argue with me. Told me he would come fix the TV and why didn't I tell him last night. I said the TV was the least of my worries and he basically exploded on me and told me that he wasn't going to refund any of my money which was $173.16 with my discounted rate. When I told him I was going to call Choice Hotels with a complaint he got on the phone with "Amy" who told him to just charge me for one night which was $43.29. I said fine and he took down my number and said he would call when it went though.. So, that evening while I was checking into the Red Roof (check out my review there) I looked at my USAA app. The Rodeway Inn ran my card THREE times, for $173.16, $43.29 AND $86.58. So not only is this an unsafe Motel with disgusting, unsafe rooms and a front desk clerk with a crappy attitude, they are thieves as well. Don't stay there. EVER.
