Lots of good things to say about our stay at Captiva. Firstly, the location is hard to beat. We were so close to the beach that it was easy to go between the beach, our room and the pool. The room was very clean and had smooth tile floor and a new bathroom. I loved the retro feel of this place and enjoyed hanging out in the common areas when my kids were sleeping. The lock on the door is a code lock and it was great to not have to keep track of keys! Very close to the 7-eleven for snacks and the free trolley line. The staff were all very friendly and I felt welcomed and safe here. Plentiful beach towels were provided in a bin which was also awesome.
A few things to be aware of: the rooms are renovated but still older. We found our room had a strange smell that never went away and there were lots of strange noises that kept me awake at night including a strange ticking noise in the ceiling that drove me nuts at 3am. The refrigerator also made lots of noise and froze all of my produce even though it was on low.
All in all, the pros were well worth the price and I hope to come back someday because that beach is amazing!

Hotel's Favorite
We had a wonderful stay at Captiva beach resort. Our space was very clean, smelled clean and all that we needed for our three night stay was provided. We especially liked the pebbled floor of the shower. It was a quaint, well-cared for lodging, and we had a wonderful time walking to crescent beach about 3 min walk away. It was hot for the time of year we went but it was the best.

Captiva is a super cute motel close to the beach and within walking distance of restaurants and bars in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful, the area was peacefiul and safe and parking was easy. We stayed just two nights and our room was small, but clean, comfortable and perfect for our short trip! Towels are provided for the beach and if you want to rent a beach chair they can charge it to your room, which makes that easy!

Lovely place to stay with family. It was pretty quiet and safe enough to let the kids wander around, ride rollerblades, scooters, etc by themselves. Lots of shells at the point of rocks and early in the mornings if you get up at dawn. We did a Walmart pickup on our way to our rooms and cooked most evenings on the grill, but there are restaurants, ice cream, coffee shops, gift shops, a pharmacy and small market within a 5 min walk. The staff was outstanding, helpful and kind! Our kids especially loved shuffleboard and the pool. We even got to see dolphins at the beach the first day, when the water was fairly calm. One tip- bring your own chairs for the beach as the $32 gets expensive to rent the set every day!

We celebrated our one year anniversary in Siesta Key and Captiva Beach Resort was ideal place for us to stay. All the rooms have been renovated, were stylish, and the common areas within Captiva had bocce, ping pong, seating, and grill areas; the pool was in the center of the loop road and other resorts/villas had access as well. Beach is an easy quick walk and there is chair and umbrella service to rent, also available were Paddle Boards and Kayaks, billed directly to your room. Restaurants and shops are minutes away by foot and The Villages and Turtle Beach a short drive. Captiva has great staff and offered incredible value. Enjoy!

Travelled as part of a family of 3 from the UK. We stayed at Captiva Resort for a few days as part of a small road trip around Florida that we undertook. This was my first visit to the west coast of Florida and thought Siesta Key was great. The beach is stunning and there’s a nice chilled out vibe about the place. We were there during Spring Break so the town centre itself was packed with families and large groups of teenagers but Captiva is about 3 miles along the coast and it was a lot quieter there. The resort was ideal for our needs, clean, comfortable, secure with on site laundry facilities and free car parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a free trolley bus into the town that you can flag down just across the main road from the resort. There’s also a good grocery store about a 5 minute walk away. Would definitely recommend this resort as an affordable option for Siesta Key and a good base for exploring the local area.

We stayed here for many times and we love Jack . Jack takes care of the place like an owner can do it , he really takes care of the guests and the place . he is nice , helpful and when you come back you come back and you are welcomed , he is like family . Everybody loves Jack . He is a great employee, a great person . It is a luxury to have Jack . If we come back to captiva , more than the installations it is because of Jack .

They have very comfortable beds! Beautifully styled, up to date, very clean rooms. We ended up extending our stay and the staff was very kind and accommodating in allowing us to check out of one room a little later so we could move down to another room and let us check in there earlier so we weren’t just stuck with our luggage and nowhere to go for hours. The manager, Jack, also helped us with our tv after a storm came through & all of the staff were very friendly!

My 14 yr old and I spent 5 days at Captiva/Beach and had a great time! Room was a good size, newly renovated and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful! We both enjoyed playing ping pong and using the shared pool for the area resorts. The walk to the beach was quicker than what I expected too! Paddleboard and Kayak rentals were around $35 which is what I expected.
I loved the quaintness and small community feel- which is a short 10 min drive to Siesta Key Village where all the action/restaurants/shops are.
Grocery Tip: stop by Publix on the way in as the only grocery store closed 2 months ago-however 7-11 does have some items stocked to tide one over.
Restaurant Tip: Turtles at Little Siesta Key was enjoyable & you might even see a Manatee! We will be back!

We live in Tampa & love getting out of the city bustle to relax by the sea. Siesta Key is definitely a family favorite! We come back to the rental options on Sara Sea time & time again because when we’re looking for something last minute they typically have something where we won’t have to cross the road to get to the beach. We did Captiva Resort this time and the employees were amazing & so helpful with extending the stay & they discounted it because of a family emergency us and needing to stay due to an injury and someone being stuck in the hospital. The room was so clean, we loved the look and they did an amazing job with the mix of velvet lush, with bamboo beachy vibes and then modern, it was fantastic! We’ll definitely return!
