Detailed Reviews
Very large park with a high proportion of full time residents. Properties are well maintained, neat, and clean. Overall camp is clean, maintained, with grass between sites. No trash pick-up. Lots of dumpsters.
Spacing is very close (not tight but closer than we like). The camp is right on US-1 and is VERY noisy 24/7. It is loudest at the front along the road but the road noise is evident everywhere in camp. Some pads tar, some cement. Flat with minor leveling. Narrowest pad we've ever had: 8'4" and our coach is 8'6". Kids size picnic table. No fire ring. No shade. Sites short -- can't fit coach and car. Pool and shuffleboard. 55+. $76, we know this is Florida in season, but this is too expensive for this camp with these issues.
Electric 119-125V. No issues. Sewer connection is far back and too high off the ground. Even with a trestle we couldn't get it flat/down. Need approval if coach is 10+ years. ATT connection/hot spot ok. No cable. No channels with our high tech antenna. Short drive to A1A on coast. Stores very close by. Lots of restaurant choices.
When comparing to other available camps, this one is below average. We camped at Whispering Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Possible things to do: Nice drive along A1A and several parks and trails along the way. Go as far as you like and come back, or make a loop up A1A on one part, and US-1 on the other. Pelican Island NWR. Sebastian Inlet State Park.

We just spent 7 days at that place with our RV. It is a very nice place with lots of amenities for a decent price. It is however located between a very busy 2 lane highway and a railroad track, so imagine the noise day and night!! Wifi is only available if you walk all the way to the main office everytime you need to use it. There are many entrances/exits to the park and none are under some kind of monitoring. Anyone can come and go as they please.....For all these reasons it is very unlikely that we will ever return there.

Whispering Palms? Should be called noisy and cramped Palms. We are camped within 50 ft of US Hwy 1 and it’s deafening. Truly. With the highway on one side and a set of well used train tracks on the other it’s virtually impossible to sit outside and have a conversation or get a full nights sleep. The irony is quiet hours are 9pm to 9am. Someone forgot to tell the highway and trains that. The site is so small we can’t put our awning out. Not going to be staying at Whispering Pines again.

do not go to this campsite, old, the aqueduct is still broken. badly maintained. very poorly administered, often overcharges that customers did not authorize on their credit card. does not respect their own rule, invents new ones regularly. discriminate against their customers.

Rented a trailer(they call it a cottage)from some bored retirees.Upon arrival,we found the railing on the front porch rotted off at the bottom. We went in and prepared for the night. We found only 2 beat up old towls and NO washcloths. The bath tub drain didn't work as the tub filled up when taking a shower. The kitchen faucet wobbled and was almost broken. To top it off,the mattress was so hard and lumpy,we had to sleep on the couch. We had to leave the next day and ruined our vacation.Stay away, as they admitted they didn't check these out, they left that to the cleaning ladies.

We had reservations for Autumn 2017 and then IRMA hit, we could not get there. When we did get there, they showed us our spot, which was too small and backed up to the railroad tracks and snake swamp. We were so disappointed and asked for our deposit back, we were told that the time period had lapsed and they could not refund. We could not get there because of the hurricane. The place is really a dump compared to other parks in the area. Just keep on going.

Campsite was right by entrance and 4 lane highway (hwy 1). Very narrow sites and close together. Relieved we’re only here for a week. It’s hard to be impressed with any of the other amenities as well as the convenient location when the first impression is so disappointing.

I can’t think of any other park I’ve stayed at that was noisier than this one. Been here 2 weeks & haven’t slept. Between the constant trains, dump trucks, sewage trucks & workers slamming doors on maintenance building, it’s been impossible! They do have lots of activities & it’s very clean but EVERYONE I’ve talked to here is annoyed by the constant racket!
