I would say it was a nightmare but the problem is we didn’t sleep. The front desk and I walked around the halls until 545 trying to find the party that had music so loud you could hear all of the f-word lyrics in my room where my 4 and 6 year old laid awake. I understand that you can’t control who you host in tour hotel and was appreciative of the front desk clerk but felt under appreciated when they offered a 50% discount. Any other hotel would have been better, heck staying in the car would have been a better option.

We had stayed in another Embassy Suites hotel, so this was a no brainer. Everyone was super friendly at all times. Our room was on the thirteenth floor, which awarded us with a great view of the Gulf. The hotel was brand new and modern. As we entered, there was a sitting room with a 📺 for relaxing. The suite had a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot for coffee in the room. The bedroom had another tv to enjoy in bed. There was a safe, tabletop ironing board and iron. Free wifi. Free hot breakfast was included and it was always delicious. The pool was on the eighth floor with great views. To top it off, there were complimentary drinks and appetizers from 5:30 to 7:30! We met the manager, John Tanner, who was greeting guests during breakfast one day, making sure we were happy with the hotel and our service, we enjoyed it so much that we can't wait to go back!

We went up to the Ringling Museum and decided to overnight and go to Siesta Beach the next day. The hotel is easy to locate. Parking is all valet but that was not an issue at all, we never had to wait for our car. In today’s world the famous breakfast they are known for is not currently happening. They had some cold items you could choose yourself OR a hot selection that they served you. It’s not the same as having an omelet made fresh but it was breakfast food. If you are picky and want fresh made to order I noticed a First Watch and other restaurants no more than a 2 block walk from the hotel. Same would apply for dinner nearby. Our room was very comfortable and one of the biggest bathrooms I’ve seen in a hotel. Very clean and we had quiet neighbors. My only very small complaint is our bedroom curtains did not entirely close and I prefer to sleep in a dark room. We used our free drink coupons and sat inside and from that vantage point you can see the kissing couple! The pool is located at the same point as the restaurant and bar so the area and elevators are quite busy. I think the location is convenient. It is NOT within distance to St Armand Circle and their tram is not in service at this time. We would stay here again.

Ok the room was alright with a nice view. But restaurants and bars in Florida are open so why can’t this hotel have a real breakfast or the manager’s reception. As an honors member I expect certain things at certain hotels. If this hotel was in NY I’d get it but Embassy Suites trademark is hot breakfast not a bag with a cereal bar. The managers reception is nonexistent even though the restaurant is open. They’re using this pandemic as an excuse to charge the same but provide none of the things you’d book an Embassy Suites for. BTW stayed at a different Hilton property the week before which had hot breakfast that was served instead of self served These guys need to step it up. No maid service either.

Stayed here a week, amenities were limited due to virus but we were not advised of this when booking. No room service, no breakfast, other than a bag with a muffin and nutri grain bar if you got up early enough to get it. DIRTY pool. Clumps of hair floating at bottom, garbage floating in water. Ugh. Sheets for pull out sofa were dirty and covered in hair. Definitely would not recommend staying here
