This had to be one of the best hotels we've stayed at in a long time. Very clean, and the staff were amazing. The breakfast was really good (try the banana bread) made fresh from the bakery in front of the hotel. We would definitely stay at this location again.

We highly recommend this hotel and we travel quite often. The room was clean, quiet and bright. We had the room with 2 double beds and it was very roomy. It also had a small refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker. After walking around all day we relaxed in the hot tub.

I usually book places in advance *(because I'm paranoid) but took a chance during a recent weekender to the West Coast of FL in late October and didn't even look for a place until the end of the day. By complete luck we decided to try the Carlisle Inn, knowing nothing about the management, the hotel or it's background--It just happened to be nearby and have available rooms at a decent price. To our delight we discovered it was an amazing place--beautifully decorated, the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in and an attentive, friendly and accommodating staff. The room was very large, spacious and thoughtfully appointed. We were charmed to subsequently learn about the Amish background of the hotel and its history. This place is extremely well-run (by mostly Amish and/or Mennonite staff). Breakfast (included) could have been somewhat better, but it was still better than the average hotel and I'm giving this 5 stars because everything else more than made up for it. Do not hesitate to stay here. I only wish they had hotels all across the US. They'd have a customer for life. One thing to note is this hotel is located a bit inland from historic downtown Sarasota, so don't expect a water view. It didn't impact us--we were very glad we chose this place. Also don't neglect to visit the Der Dutchman restaurant and giftshop located in a separate building in front of the hotel. We loved them both and came back with all sorts of goodies.

It is not often that you see a hotel with such high ratings. I was skeptical but I can say this place is as sold by other reviewers. The hotel and rooms are spacious and super clean. The decor is simple Amish style. There is staff everywhere making sure everything stays clean. Breakfast is better than the typical hotel chain but not by a lot. The only minus is that the hotel is far from all major attractions. I wish that this company will start expanding because I would always stay at their hotels

We stayed here for 2 nights the end of September 2020! What an amazing clean and elegant motel, spacious king room and clean! We would highly recommend this to anyone, the price was great for what we received! Also they served us breakfast, even in the midst of crazy times, but never felt exposed to anything harmful! Great job Carlisle!!!
