We arrived in the afternoon - just wanted to get changed and go to the pool. Upon trying to use hand sanitizer stations around the building, there was NO sanitizer in any of the wall mounted machines. During this time? I even called to make sure that precautions were being implemented still at this hotel before reserving a room. When we got in our room, the bathroom was disgusting. Hairs all over the floor, on the toilet and on the counters. Went to shut the room darkening curtain- there was one. And it was so holy it may as well have not been there. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. It was gross. Went to use the luggage rack- it was broken. Called down- we had to pack up and move. Next room seemed ok. Pulled the covers back and there were hairs in the bed. This grosses me out. Looked like the room had flooded- drawers wouldn’t close, doors wouldn’t close. Tv remote had not back on it. Then we get to the pool and there had to be 50 plus people there for a party. Social distancing was not happening. We decided to at least enjoy the beautiful weather and sat outside and chatted. Not one person from the hotel came to check things out, make sure rules were being followed. It was pretty quiet over night. We got up and went to the pool. It was great for about an hour. Another guest came in turned their music on SO loud. It was very inappropriate music. I asked him kindly if he could please turn it down. He shook his head yes- but didn’t. I got my children and we left. At this point we were all so annoyed with how our get away was going we decided to leave the hotel at 10 am. Our plan was to stay for the day and swim. I have never been to a hotel where guests were so rude to one another. This is the 2nd poor experience I have had at a Holiday Inn. I will not attempt it for a third time. Last chance. It was not great.

The wall mounted sanitizer stations are constantly checked. On those units, sanitizer won't come out unless hands are placed underneath for approximately 3-5 seconds. I sincerely apologize; seeing your comments, I realize we should include signage saying as such so that guests do not assume they are empty. We are committed to the highest standards of PPE, and ave roughly 25 sanitizer stations on all six floors. So, again, please accept our sincere apologies.

I stayed at this hotel MANY times because the office/business I work at is less than 7 blocks from this "place" (trying to keep it clean) - The management at this place must really suck!! The people at the front desk are rude at best and under-trained at best. The only highlight I can talk about is over the course of years staying here, the food has always been good (mainly wings). Everytime I check in I call my wife on the way to the room because house keeping is so bad it's become a running joke with us. This time (last wednesday 9/9/2020) I opened the room and the ottoman/footstool was on the chair in the room and the curtains were tied together! I took pictures and sent them to my wife and we laughed.,,,but that is frigging sad. A short time later the guy in the next room decides he wants to listen to or play something worse than the hardest of metalica type rock on full volume. It sounded like he was playing a live guitar with an amp! I called the front desk and she offered to move me!!!!!!!!!! I said "let me get this right, you want me to pack up all of my stuff to move because you don't want to deal with this puke!!?? She got the hint and went to his room and had to BEAT on his door for him to even hear her! Between all of that, and my HORRIBLE past experiences and the crust on the carpet that I stepped in multiple times with my bare feet in this room....I AM DONE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! There is a VERY NICE IHG property that I am sitting in as I write this in Lakewood Ranch called the "EVEN". Look this property up and book it!! LOVE THIS PLACE!! By the way....I mentioned above I am Spire Elite...that is because I travel and stay at A LOT of IHG properties. I am also a retied Military E-9/CMSgt,,,,and I DO NOT need recognition....BUT....it is obvious from y travels that ALL holiday inn hotels are made to recognize their Sprire Elite members when they arrive. This location NEVER...NOT ONCE EVER EVER EVER said thank you for being a Spire Elite OR asked me if I wanted my bonus points or something from the commisary......I hope someone from corporate reads this! Being military....and following regs for years...these people just don't care on SO MANY LEVELS!! Once final thing....I don't think these folks give a darn about COVID when i comes to the well-being of the customers compared to other IHG properties. SUGGESTION: Manger at this property.....spend two weeks on the road to local properties seeing how they treat customers and implement just 1/2 of those policies and you'll keep customers.....but...I'm done....I'll drive MILES to work and NOT stay their just to be close to work. I didn't proof read this review.....sorry about the typos

First off this hotel was very clean, nice and followed all covid precautions. The staff was amazing and very nice and helpful. The conference was the reason I was there. I reserved the room for a small party and it was just the right size plenty of room and it was setup very nice and clean. The bathrooms was amazing very very clean. I would recommend renting this place out for small gatherings.

I was not just pleasantly surprised by this hotel during my recent business trip; I was shocked to find all the comforts I used to enjoy while traveling at this spectacular Holiday Inn. While following all the new guidelines and restrictions, which have shut many hotels and restaurants down, this one offers all amenities, including a full bar and cooked-to-order food. The staff goes above and beyond to keep guests safe during the pandemic. The restaurant was awesome. The busy bar seemed to have a strong local following, but Jay the bartender was helpful and attentive to me as possible, despite being a first time guest. For breakfast I was expecting the standard cheap grab and go, like the other hotels are now offering. But I ended up treating myself to the pancakes-- best I ever had, personally prepared by the head Chef, I was told. As a traveling sales rep, I will be back in the area in a few weeks, but 30 minutes further away in Venice. I will still go nowhere else, despite the distance.

This hotel is disgusting. Every single part of our experience at this place was terrible. This hotel is so far below what I would consider Holiday Inn standards, I am frankly shocked it is still open. The entire place, from the parking lot to the rooms and pool, is filthy, and clearly not well managed. On top of that, the staff is among the most rude, unhelpful and incompetent that I have seen in many years of travels all over the world. The staff was unhelpful at every single encounter, beginning with check-in, and push back on every request, even asking for towels. The lobby, rooms and common areas were gross and not well kept. There is constantly water on the lobby floor from the staff failing to keep it clean. People party in the parking lot until early in the morning, completely trashing the parking lot. The pool was so over-chlorinated, that it ruined all of our bathing suits and caused everyone's eyes to burn for HOURS. One in our party laid on the floor for 2 hours after returning from the pool because his eyes felt like they were on fire. On top of that, there were absolutely no towels available at the pool or extra ones for the room. We were repeatedly told that the hotel was completely out of towels. How does a manager even let that happen? We had to use my beach towels to shower. Every single thing about this hotel screams gross mismanagement. Not only will I never return to this hotel, I may never visit another Holiday Inn again.

We sincerely apologize regarding your disappointment with your recent stay. We are one of few area hotels to use a professional third party for pool chemicals, Galaxy Pools, one of the largest and best regarded swimming pool contractors in our area. Most hotels leave chemical treatment to non-expert staff; but we spare no expense when it comes to safety. We will report your feedback to our vendor; but we are confident that, per their expert assessment, the chlorine levels are optimized at the safest levels. Regarding your other comments, we thank you for your feedback. COVID-19 has forced us to reduce staffing levels to limit possible exposure. To date we have had no cases at the hotel and among or staff. However, we will be taking action to better keep up with lobby and parking lot use during busy times, as, like all hotels, we unfortunately have guests that litter the grounds.
