We have been coming on and off to Siesta Key for over 30 years. We have mainly stayed here at Sarasota Surf and Racquet. We stayed here second week in August and mind you I'm hispanic and live in Miami and the last thing I want to hear is obnoxious loud spanish music, well there were like three large groups of people specifically one group that had their loud music playing the entire 4 days that I was there. They hijacked the larger pool with this loud music and in my 30 plus years of staying at the Surf and Racquet never saw this in my life. Please do something about this. I understand there are clear rules about loud music, but obviously at least the days that I was there no one was enforcing it. Mind you I don't mind a little mix of music here and there but they had a boom box that you would hear from the beach. This is not going to stop me from going again, but I hope someone takes a note of this and enforces it, because it was out of control. I rated it very good, because I love Surf and Racquet and the weather was amazing and overall had a great time minus the loud obnoxious people and their music.…

I have been coming here, to this resort for 40 years. Until 2020 I loved bringing my kids, but since then it has not been family friendly. I’ve tried many different times between Memorial Day and Labor Day and it’s been the same, large groups of 14-16 year olds drinking and taking over. They have parties in rooms, which I assume their parents have rented because I saw two moms corn out of one yesterday trying to clean up after a party the night before, and play loud club music everywhere they go. They literal walk around with it playing. If it was a smaller group I’d get over it, but it’s like 20 plus kids and more than one group. To make matters worse, management and security do nothing when they are made aware of it. If I wanted a club scene or to pretend I’m in a reality TV show, this would be the resort for me, but I want a family beach vacation, and this is not the place to come.…

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Sarasota Surf & Racquet Club. We do not rent to anyone under 25 years old so all of these teens were here with their parents. We agree that some of the teenagers and their parents did not act responsibly and were disrespectful to other guests. However it isn't far to say that management and security didn't try to stop this from happening. We hired an off duty officer to help our own security staff last week, went to the pools numerous times to take alcoholic beverages from minors, dispersed teenagers that weren't staying here and evicted guests for numerous noise complaints. Sarasota surf and racquet club is a great place very clean a little higher price but the beach is what you’re paying for here. We stayed in C104 beds in condo was comfortable. This was our second time Visiting Sarasota surf and racquet club

We have stayed at this resort since 1987. Loved this resort. The condos are wonderful ( We stayed in the C building unit 207 ) and Chris was our host the beginning of June 2023 . It was exactly what we had hoped for. Very clean and comfortable and just a short walk to the beach. We will definitely come back and stay. The staff in the office were friendly and very helpful. Could not have asked for a better time. Thanks 😊

Beach was awesome silky sand .. easy to walk and enjoy so many birds . The condo was 2 bedrooms 2 baths . Extremely clean very comfortable set up to feel like home . Came with linens and more then enough towels even replaced them once during a 3 night stay . Grills by the Beach you can reserve and enjoy a beautiful sunset . Gym was also well kept and clean . Pool was clean and lots of chairs . Easy to get chairs on the Beach staff would bring them to you and you could rent umbrellas and upgraded chairs with cushions and built in umbrella’s

Beautiful 3 day girls get away. The resort facilities are extremely clean, staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was the best bed I have ever slept on. Beautiful views and the beach is amazing. Perfect location and close to everything. Couldn’t have asked for anything more from a weekend getaway. Can’t wait to visit again and stay longer !!

Beautiful beach, clean and comfy condos, and wonderful service from the staff! Stayed for a bachelorette weekend, and everything was exception. The location made it easy to get to all excursions and the resort that everything you’d need or want for a beach get away in one place!

The Surf and Racquet Club has long been an ideal family vacation condo complex. Reason being it has some of the best beach side amenities like a seawall, swimming pool, grills, tons of chairs, lots of beach. It is located right in the middle so walking to the Village or South Bridge area is very convenient. They have many well cared for units with awesome gulf views. The grounds are top notch, zero blacktop, beautifully maintained garden, lots of covered parking, pretty night time landscape lighting. There are several tennis, pickle ball, and even a basket call court. It is gated, has 24 security, on premise office, and an excellent rental program. Go online and see for yourself. Every unit has pictures, so no surprises. It's number one for a reason... It has much more to offer than most other rentals on the beach. Total class act. …

We stayed in C305 The room was updated and really clean and comfortable. The resort itself has a beautiful beach, and the pools were clean and nice! Everyone that worked there that we encountered were very nice and helpful. Will definitely go back!

Here this week leaving tomorrow 4/23. Beautiful beach and well maintained grounds. Your unit quality will vary based on the owner's upkeep. Big drawback is they do not allow anything in the pool area except for clear plastic water bottles. No thermal cups, no yeti's, no snacks! And yes, security does patrol and enforce. They try to defend it as state law, but as a Floridian, I know this is not true. Nearby condo resorts do not have this policy. Just wanted to put this out there because I was very disappointed. We are on vacation. There is nothing wrong with adults chatting in the pool with their beverage of choice in an insulated cup. Cheers!

This is an excerpt from the Florida Department of Health, 'Food and beverages are prohibited in the pool and on the pool wet deck area'. You can view this information on their website www.floridahealth.gov. Health inspectors do random inspections and issue fines if we aren't compliant.
