Just got home from The PalmView! What a great quiet place!! Ron made you feel very welcome and not just a reservation number. He showed us everything around and had some great advise on where to eat and where to avoid. It was a get-away for my husband and I to celebrate our 20th anniversary. If you are looking for...

We actually stayed at their property on Shell Basket Lane it was the perfect place to go with the family! And it's pet friendly! 300 feet from the ocean, clean, complete with everything you need from a full kitchen to beach chairs etc.... No need to pack a lot! We will definitely be going back and bringing friends. (We actually...

Our 1st trip to Sanibel. We weren't looking for a luxury resort; the trip was about beaches, shells for my wife, great meals, sunsets, and shells for my wife (in no particular order). What we wanted was comfortable quarters with room enough to lounge when we wanted, within a short walk to a beach, and a short drive to just...

Cute little place in a quiet part of Sanibel Island. Very clean and pleasant interior. But it is very irritating with some small details- no coffee filters, pepper shaker empty, and gas grill works poorly. I had to go and relight gas burners a couple of times, and heat wouldn't get hot enough to properly cook steak, so I tried...

Sanibel Island has become dog friendly over the years. They are allowed on every beach and in many hotels. My spouse, 2 dogs and I spent two nights at a The Palmview. The place is small and consists of only 5 or 6 cottages. Our cottage was a duplex done up in nautical style and painted a bright, tropical color....

The Palm View is a very pleasant 60's vintage motel that has been maintained and enhanced. I stayed in the Caloosa/Unit 1 for 3 nights. It was very clean and had bright and cheerful colors. The bed was comfortable, refrigerator clean, and the a/c worked well if a little noisy on occasion. The floors are vintage terrazzo and the bathroom...

“If there is no duplex, I'd go for that. There was one "duplex" where the units were separated by a banquet hall of sorts. If no banquet was going on, I'd choose to be in one of those units as your neighbor would not be on the other side of your wall. One of those units was closest unit to the street. However, there was not a whole lot of traffic on the street while we were there. Virtually none at night, and one of our nights was New Year's Eve. There was a unit attached to the office that seemed furthest from the street. I might go for that one first.”
