We arrived Saturday and stayed till Monday. We had rain most of the weekend and the water was cold and a little rough which did not allow for the paddle board or kayak. Even though the weather was not what we wanted we made a weekend eating and drinking our way through the restaurants..... Mucky Duck, Doc Ford’s, the Archade next door on Captiva, Bubble Room, Lazy Flamingo, Sunset Grill, & Island Pizza. There’s lots more we wanted to discover and visit but I think we covered quite a lot for a short period of time. The most important thing was that my husband thoroughly enjoyed his birthday weekend. Check, check. We definitely want to come back and enjoy the beach and sandbar. Oh did I mention we came away with quite a bit of seashells for one of my future projects.

I read reviews online and had concerns, however once we got there all of those things I had read were unfounded. Abe who checked us in was great and very helpful and gave us good information. The room was big, clean and our balcony was screened in and all of the free things for us to use were great. We had a problem with our frig and they came within 10 minutes and replaced it. Everywhere we walked on the property we were asked if we needed anything and very friendly. The beach was awesome and the shell hunt was really a beauty in itself. Saw dolphins as well. The entire property was clean and well kept. The breakfast came early and our kitchen was a plus for this get away. They were very concerned about us being safe and the staff wore masks , things in place for all of the guest. this was our first time to visit Sanibel and would stay here again. Thanks for a great 3 days.

We have only been here an hour, and this place is a dump. We entered our room to find massive amounts of bugs in our bathroom light fixture. The door has a massive hole at the bottom, and we can see the sunlight coming through. I will try to make the best of this and not let anything ruin my birthday celebration.

Dear B8, I"m so sorry your trip began with a poor impression of our inn based on the items you've noted in your room. I trust our staff was able to quickly resolve the issues and get your stay back on track for a great birthday. Would you be so kind as to let me know what unit you were so that I can follow up more directly? I sincerely appreciate your calling the issues to our attention; please know that what you experienced is not our standard level of experience, as I'm sure you've seen from the majority of our very positive reviews. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely, Bill Wellman General Manager The Inns of Sanibel 239-472-3181 ext. 6308 bwellman@theinnsofsanibel.com

We came to spread ashes for a family never we lost this year butt Sally got in the way. We spent 2 nights and it rained the whole time. It is an older hotel but very clean and renovated. We were really impressed with the windows and sliding doors as you couldn't hear the storm raging outside. The room was clean, breakfast was good and delivered too the room. The hotel is puppy friendly and had free kayaks, water boards, etc but the storm got inn the way if that too.
