We have been staying here for years and we just love it. It is clean, quiet, right on the beach, yet walkable to restaurants. The pool is lovely. The staff are great. It really just feels like a home away from home at this point. Our little slice of Heaven on Earth!
Loved the condo. It was clean and had everything we needed. Pool was in front of the condo with easy access. Beach was a quick walk, and we used the chairs, umbrella, and beach toys that were available in the garage. Loved the location. Simply beautiful! we only wish we had more time to stay.
This spot was exactly what we were hoping for. Family vacation (4 members - including a 6YO & 3.5 YO). Clean, walking distance from the beach, and overall convenient. Would recommend and certainly stay again!
Whether early January, Spring Break or the end of high season our stay at Sanibel Siesta never disappoints. Clean units, great staff all around makes for an enjoyable visit time after time. The grounds are well maintained and the proximity to the beach is outstanding.
We stayed here for the first time. The condo was very clean and well equipped . The beach was very nice. This is a good family location and will definitely return in the future. The only downside was the wi-fi was so slow it would not load and since cell phone coverage was not good, we had very little access to internet.
First of all let me state Sara and the staff that booked my stay were very kind and professional. My review is based on the unit 308 and it's condition. A few of the major concerns and comments are , Heating System inoperable on heat mode plus mold smell emitted from ductwork. Old dirty furnishings, torn leather seat, King bedroom Matteress completely worn out, rugs and carpet old and need for replacement. But mostly a very serious plumbing issue " WATER HAMMER " causing a loud noise when the Toilet tank completely fills and valve seats. This made it uneasy to flush too often. These observations and concerns were made to the office while checking out. Also while my wife and myself were leaving the complex we noticed a Carpet cleaning crew with equipment in room 308 I inquired about is it normal to clean the carpet and couch's after each rental and told that NO but the management after inspection called for a Service. It was my Wife and my 44th wedding Anniversary and tried to make the best of it, My only advice to others is Don't depend on pictures and baseless opinions and verbal reviews.…
We stayed at Sanibel Siesta for 6 nights in mid January. There was not an available condo for all six nights so half way between (3 nights) we moved next door. The condos were like night and day. The 1st condo (which was located in building 4 on the 2nd floor) was mediocre. We immediately needed to have the master bedroom blinds and bed fixed (after a long night on an uneven bed and a morning of bright and early sunshine). The staff responded immediately to our issues and they were completed within two hours. The furniture in this condo was "vintage college dorm room". When we moved to condo #406 we breathed a sigh of relief. here we had "real adult" furniture with a very nicely decorated screened lanai. The difference was striking. I know that each condo is individually owned so make sure you do your homework and ask about the nicer ones. Otherwise our stay was good. I'm not really sure that the pond in the middle of the property is a good thing. It looks very dated and dirty and does not add much to the property except screeching early morning birds. One very unappealing aspect....when we were there the pile of garbage, including mattresses, appliances and furniture in addition to over plowing trash bins was very unattractive and we had to drive or walk by it every time we left the property.…
My husband and I returned today from an impromptu anniversary trip to Sanibel. We were there 39 years ago to celebrate our 15th anniversary…so you do the math…number 54 for us. We were delighted with our condo #702. It was clean, the furnishing were great and had everything we needed. The front staff was friendly and helpful every time we encountered them. We returned late Thursday afternoon around 4:30 to a very warm 81 in our unit. A quick call to the front desk had a knock on our door, the offer of a fan and the assurance if the A/C could not be repaired we could move to another condo. Thankfully by 5:30 a repairman was on site and quickly restored our cool air. We enjoyed our stay at Sanibel Siesta on the Beach and highly recommend it for your next vacation.
My family (four generations) and I spent the week of Thanksgiving (Sunday to Sunday) at the Sanibel Siesta and it once again was just the Perfect place to be. We were Lucky enough to have found this place in the past (please see my previous review of April 2015), so once we knew we could all be together for this holiday, we knew exactly where to book. Once again, Pat and Sarah and Brenda really make the place seem like a home away from home, taking such good care of us before and during our stay, answering every question and accommodating every request. We rented 3 condos (104, 105, and 106) next to each other in building 1, giving us the whole second floor to ourselves. All of the condos are equipped with glass screen doors, so when each family got up in the morning, we opened the front door (leaving the glass screen door closed so as not to disturb the air conditioning), and then we moved freely between apartments. It was Wonderful to have all those rooms and 3 kitchens during the whole week for the 12 of us. Each apartment was spacious, lovely, and well-appointed with everything needed for the week. Each has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a large balcony. All have a king sized bed in the master and most have 2 twins that can be made into a king in the second bedroom. This was the case for 104 and 106, but 105 has a full bed with a trundle instead of 2 twins. We were able to make this work for us by switching our families around, but this is important to know if you want that second bedroom to be made into a king. Also, each apartment has an outside closet filled with beach chairs and toys that just complete the stay. Because we were Co-Vid conscious, we ordered in Island Pizza on our first night (a family tradition), and then after an enormous Publix shop (15 minutes away), we stayed in for the rest of the week, popping into Jerry’s (5 minutes away) once or twice for fill-in groceries as needed. Sanibel Siesta is in a great location on the island, right on the beach, reasonably priced, and just right for a family reunion!…
Sanibel Siesta is a great place to stay on Sanibel Island. It's right on the beach and convenient to the shops and restaurants of Sanibel. We stayed in Unit 607 and it was lovely. Great decor. Comfortable furniture. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view of the Gulf from the well-appointed lanai. Getting to the beach was so easy and convenient. Literally a couple of flights of stairs and there you are -- on a sandy path that takes you to the beach in a few steps. The kitchen was very well-equipped and had high-quality flatware, dishes, and glassware. Also included in the unit were beach toys, floats, boogie boards, a couple of beach umbrellas and several beach chairs. The towels were thick, fluffy and soft. The only complaint we had was the weak and spotty Wifi service. The TV had Dish, but no apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc., and even if it had, I doubt the Wifi would have supported streaming content. This may not be a big deal to some people, but when watching your favorite shows is part of your evening entertainment, it is disappointing. It would also be a problem for people working remotely and needing to Zoom. I hope the owner will upgrade the Wifi and TV in the near future and when that happens, the 607 will be perfect!…
