Very romantic! Outstanding property! Beautiful room, great bottle of wine, great recommendations for dinner, fantastic sunrise, and breakfast delivered to our door. Long walks on the beach! We only intended to stay one night on our way to another city, however when we wanted to stay longer, the staff was wonderfully accommodating! We moved next door to the Sanibel Inn and the entire stay was absolutely wonderful! one night turned into three days! Incredible value for all the amenities! We will back! Thank you for sharing a slice of paradise with us!

My wife and I stayed two nights (October 8-10). The location is idyllic on Sanibel's Gulf beach. The accommodations are comfortable. The kitchenette was all we needed to cook our meals and remain socially distant during the pandemic . The staff was friendly and attentive. The front desk messaged every day to inquire how the stay was going. This made us feel cared for. The Inn is not a large resort, which makes it ideal for a relaxing stay. It has all the amenities one needs for an enjoyable stay.

After reading many 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor regarding this property, my sister and I took the plunge and escaped from Florida's east coast to Sanibel Island. This was not a disappointment! First and foremost, as we pulled up to the hotel registration/front desk area, we observed a staff member cleaning/disinfecting the door handles. She greeted us as we entered, and then we were met by a very charming young lady who proceeded to check us in. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a partial gulf view overlooking the pool area. The hotel is older, and has old-school Florida charm. We found the room to be clean and immaculate with a small, kitchenette which came in handy for lunch left overs, and to keep bottled water chilled. I read in other reviews that the bathrooms are small, and this is entirely true, however, it is functional, and we did not have any issues there. NOTE: this is not a criticism, but a personal preference. We found the beds and pillows very soft, and would have preferred a more firm mattress. If you have back problems, this might be an issue. First morning, breakfast was delivered to our room. Nothing fancy, but everything was fresh. We did not take advantage of the room service breakfast for the rest of our stay, as we enjoyed taking an early morning drive to the coffee bar at Bailey's General store, and grabbing a breakfast sandwich there. The grounds of this property is well maintained and beautiful. Maintenance workers were observed daily taking care of the gardens. It is a peaceful property even though you could see the staff buzzing around taking care of business. This is a "gem" of a hotel. Small (30 rooms), and intimate with a lovely beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are set up and provided each day. The beach was not crowded and there is plenty of room to social distance. We did not use the pool as there seemed to be more people there, and the pool area is not that large. Fresh beach towels are provided each day (pick up by pool area), and the walk to the beach is short. This is a peaceful and beautiful property. Well-maintained by an excellent staff. If you are seeking an escape and need rest and relaxation, then you must visit the Song of the Sea. Note: stayed 3 nights the week of 9/21/20.

The staff here are excellent from the front desk to the maintenance. The maintenance staff take very good care of the guests. They all keep up the area. They need to replace the pea gravel on the walkways with pavers like their sister inn next door. You must walk from the beach area all the way to the pool area on these gravels just to wash your feet off. They hurt to walk on and get in your shoes. The bed is very comfortable.

Song of the Sea promised a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful warm wood tropical looking rooms, walking distance to the beach!!! They lived up to that and more, no need to pack beach towels, chairs or umbrella they’ve got that plus a wonderful heated pool and comfortable lounge chairs. Their gardens that surround the hotel are beautifully landscaped, table and chairs throughout so that you can enjoy the views and listen to nature. The short walk to the beach aloud you to use your own restroom, grab a sandwich or drink from your room, which came equipped with a mini-kitchenette. Even with covid going on they found a way to still serve a continental buffet breakfast....they bring it to your room! Somewhat like room service on a cruise ship, hand in your order night before and delivered to you at your chosen time. The only negative we found was that everyone is not as considerate to other guests, loud tv, heavy footed and door slammers. We have friends that eat at Dante’s in Fort Myers and say their pizza is fabulous, we did not. But found a restaurant called Gramma Dot’s which had great food and service!!!! New England clam chowder is a must try...the plateful of foods that arrive to your table is almost too beautiful to eat! Thank you Sanibel Inns we will be back to enjoy the island and your services again.
