Our family has been on lock down since COVID. Our kids were home from college in New York and we are from Louisiana. We vacationed here for years and thought this would be an ideal place to reconnect and create more amazing memories. Everything was just as we remembered! AMAZING!!

This is my family's 2nd time visiting this location and we love it. We rented a house for 8 days, we are a family of 6 and finding something to accommodate us and be comfortable is rather hard at times. We love how everything is right on the resort because Hwy 98 traffic is horrible. So it's best to stay on the resort for all of your restaurant needs. Some of the restaurants were a little slow because they were short staffed but that was ok and understandable. The economy is picking up and we were glad to bring in business. We will be back soon that's for sure. Our house was in Laurel Grove, Lakeside. We were able to get some fishing in and check out the heated pool. Each night in the village there was something to do with the kids and activities just for the adults. My husband and I are huge Fat Tuesday fans if that tells you anything!! Easy access to the beach, the Marina where you can rent a pontoon boat for the day. I suggest reserving if you can because those rent out fast. I can go on & on but this is Definitely our favorite resort hands down!! *GOLF *Bike trails *Fishing *Live Concerts *Zipline *Carousel Ride *Food, Food & more Food

We booked a "4 star" experience through hotwire and we are still dealing with issues. Hotwire advertised beach/pool access and we didn't get either until we "upgraded" becuase our room type didn't include wrist bands. We had no choice but to do that (checked in at 10pm). The room we got was moldy and smelly, basically motel quality. Sandestin just said that there's nothing that they can do, it's up to the "owners". Also, our "resort" fee was supposed to be $105 and we ended up paying over $200 in fees. I would NOT book here, stay away! Hotwire nor Sandestin is willing to assist us, they're blaming each other with us left wasting hours on phone calls. We're going to our bank next to try a fraud claim.

Might be okay if you go for a week but we had one night. It was awful - gigantic resort and a long drive to the room. Room was awful but here is the real problem - there is nobody to help you and you are far from the welcome center. I was traveling with a child who requires a heart monitor. As can happen the child mistakenly left part of the controller in the room when we checked out. No problem I thought - I can show housekeeping my reservation and ID to quickly retrieve the critical device. Housekeeping refused to help and made me drive back to the welcome center with a now very upset child to get my key reactivated. It gets worse - when 20 mins later we got back to the room, dashed in the room, the very same housekeeper who refused to help us had the critical device in a trash bag!!! You couldn’t make it up and language was not a problem here. It was scary to think what could have happened. Anybody with young children should NOT stay here.

I cannot put into words with how impressed I was. From everything from reservations to my destination. My great Experience started with reservations. I spoke with reservations director Land who helped me straighten out my reservations from my goof of booking a bayside room to a beachside gulf room. She was sooooo very patient with me and shared in with my excitement of coming to the Sandestin golf and beach resort. She was very helpful and informative of accommodating my needs and wants for our visit to make sure I had the room and view I wanted. She was such a pleasure to speak with. Thank you Landa. Vanessa
