The rooms smelled a bit musty. We found all sorts of bugs - under the suitcases after the first day and lots in the bathrooms. No bed bugs though! We decided collectively as a family to treat it like camping and then we were fine. The bar did not have a great selection and

Stayed here for the Top Rock event on NYE. Never again. The food at the party was atrocious. The meat options were both over cooked. No dessert on NYE! We rented a pet room and my dog spilt his water on the floor, so I dutifully cleaned it up and the cloth that I used was white,

Terrible service and experience. Don’t stay here. Ended up moving to different hotel after one night. Cracked walls. 70’s decor. Rusted metal. Wouldn’t move us to room with king bed when one was available. Had to sleep in separate twin beds.

All rooms were renovated at the same time so all are the same age. We have different room types and sizes. Our Courtyard or Bay front rooms seem to be the best received. They are somewhat higher in price but offer a better value.

We are close to a bus line (2 city blocks) and the Trolleys serve the Downtown area only. Most people prefer Uber or a local taxi for convenience sake.

Do they accept small dogs?
We have limited pet designated rooms. Pets are only allowed in this room type. Dog or cat must be 50 pounds or less. A certificate from veterinarian showing shots are current is required and must be faxed to hotel in advance. There is a non-refundable pet fee of 20.00 per night. In addition, additional fees apply if your pet has an accident or causes damage in guest room. While here, pets must remain on a leash.

Seaweed in the summer months is a hit or miss depending on the wind directions, storms and boating activity. We sit at the very end of an outlet so seaweed can be funneled into our marina or onto the beach. The same thing can happen along any beachfront but we sometimes get hit harder because we are at the end of the outlet. We clear the beach as often as we can. Unfortunately, the beach can only be cleared at low tide and during daylight hours so it is not always cleared daily. Smells can be from seaweed but also could have been caused by an overflow from the City of St. Petersburg into Tampa Bay. The hotel can not control many of these factors but we do our very best. This is generally not an issue but it can happen.
