Very nice campground, spacing is a little tight but trees between sites provide plenty of privacy. Baths are clean and modern. Short bike ride to the beach or fort. Very reasonable rates considering the good location.

DeSoto Park is always nice to visit. Always busy! The historic fort is interesting. It’s more of a safe beach than many others I think because the sand goes out without the drop-off that you see in the ocean. Nice place to picnic.

I am not a camper but would camp at this campground! Campsites are within 25 feet of water. This place is fabulous!!! Reservations open 6 months in advance and are still extremely hard to get. Awesome place!!

Yes you can walk to the dog beach but it is a bit of a hike. Probably 20-30 mins by foot. Yes you can go in the water at the waterfront campsites, especially at the dog campsites. Although you may have other dogs next your... More

Site 48 looks nice. You have some shelter from the wind with the mangroves and you are close to the bathroom. Keep in mind the lights on the bathroom do not get turned off at night. We had to position our tent to block the... More
