I booked through booking.com two months in advance. They charged my credit card for the full amount the next day. I’m not talking about a hold either. FULL PAYMENT! I canceled a month in advance. It has been a month since then and still no refund. The Watergarden was completely unhelpful and did not respond to calls or emails. Booking.com recommended that I talk to the property about the refund. Booking and the Watergarden couldn’t care less. Stay somewhere else! Don’t book through booking.com.

We loved the Lighthouse room! Absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway! Could easily walk to anywhere around St. Pete Pier area and was also an easy drive to St. Pete beach and Gulfport. Our room was perfect and quiet. Can't wait to stay again!!

The booking agency will take you for every dime, even a front line worker like myself. For this property you have to book through an agent, TechTavel.com. When I called, the young lady was not sure of the down payment but took my information including my credit Card information. I did not think anything of this part as any hotel you book with asks for a credit card on file. I was told the finance department would call me the next day for all the details. That call did not come so I called my self the following, day, now about 36 hrs in since my initial inquiry. I spoke with the owner, Brandon Tecklenburg who explained that I would have to pay in full and there would be no refund for any cancelation. I explained that I could not stay at this property then, as I am a frontline worker, Nurse Practitioner, who works in a hospital and with the pandemic there was always the possibility I would have to cancel due to illness, ie: catching COVID. Brandon said her understood, asked me to send a email for it was in writing which I did same day. I DID NOT sign a contract nor did I pay anything at this point. Less than 48 hrs later, a cancelation fee was put on my card, at $295.30. I told our card to not pay it. Later the same day, the full amount of the stay was attempted to be put on my credit card, TWICE. This would be bad enough for anyone, I certainly hope this company has not duped any other frontline workers out of their hard earned time off.

Booked three nights based on Trip Advisor reviews and location to the Bayfront. The late night partying in the suite above us got so bad by the second night that we feared for our safety when we realized our only options at 1 am were to leave a phone/text message, personally intervene or call the police. We decided to cut our vacation short and leave after two horrible sleepless nights and no one on site to contact for help. Other Trip Advisor Reviews noted the personal attention of the ownership. Reportedly the Inn is managed by another entity who are clearly not involved in the activity at the Inn and are ruining the reputation of this business. We never saw/met any Inn employee the days we were at the property as check-in was handled via text messaging. Certainly expected better attention to the guest experience was expected given the cost of a suite and other hotel options in the area.

Room Tip: Would avoid this property as long as there is no on site management

We stayed at this inn for two nights and were thrilled with the location of this beautiful inn. We felt like we were in a hidden gem among larger hotels right in the heart of St. Petersburg. We were able to walk to restaurants, the Pier and other local sites. The room was spacious. Unfortunately, we were here during a changeover of management companies on our first night here. There were a few minor hiccups upon our arrival with the old management leaving, but, literally, the very next morning when the new management team arrived, they were immediately on top of things and resolved these few items for us. We would definitely stay here again on any of our future trips to St. Pete and I have been recommending this inn to other couples.
