Ed met us at the door with maps and directions for dinner and places to visit. He was so gracious and kind. The room was very clean and included all you'd need for 2 nights away. We used the fridge for our 20the anniversary wine and leftovers from meals eaten out. We used the DVD player with a movie we...

Beautiful restored Arts and Crafts house very well situated in St Petersburg. Short walk to the beach front and all the restaurants. Very handy for the trolley bus. House is beautiful inside and out, full of character. Our bedroom (The Cottage Suite) was a good size and the bed very comfortable; all very clean and good linens. Breakfasts were excellent,...

Our love of blues festivals has led us to St. Pete on two occasions (so far!). We stayed at Dickens House on both trips and could not have made a better choice. The festivals are held at Vinoy Park which is a 5 minute walk from the B&B. Also within walking distance are great restaurants, museums and shopping. The accommodations...

Dickens House is located at the centre of St Petersburg, very close to the beach, parks, a swimming pool and a variety of bars, cafes restaurants. Despite its close proximity to all the action, the street was very quiet. The house was tastefully decorated, beautifully lit and very clean. The proprietor Ed Caldwell was a wonderful host; he did everything...

We have stayed in this B&B on two occasions. The host is most gracious and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding. All fresh fruits and home cooked meals. The place is located within walking distance of down town where we experienced both fine restaurants, museums and shopping. Will definitely return.

Our daughter booked our room for us at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. It was a busy weekend in St. Petersburg, however, the location and charming, quiet front porch provided a wonderful spot to relax at the end of the day. We especially loved sitting around the breakfast table in the mornings. Ed provided a wonderful breakfast that was varied...

The room was delightful with no complaints and we felt secure in the environment. This is why I am giving a rating of two and not one. Our complaints stemmed from the management unable to meet my allergy requests. My wife and I received a free two-night stay at the Dickens House B&B as a Christmas gift from my folks....

Now the other – complete - side of this story. 1.) 1st morning Jonathan was served fresh fruit, scrabbled eggs, brown sugar and pecan ham, and a gluten free English muffin. He ate everything but only half of the muffin saying he didn’t like gluten free breads, nothing was said about it being “stale”. If it was stale I would...

We lingered around the dining room table, sipping second and third cups of morning coffee and tea, because the other guests were so interesting and engaging and fun! Dickens House attracts nice people. Add to that a delicious breakfast (beautifully presented), cookies warm from the oven mid afternoon, well-appointed rooms and gracious host -- you just can't beat it!

We booked the Dickens Suite on the second floor. We expected a roomy well equipped room but in every category it exceeded our expectations. The suite was very roomy with a queen size bed, lounging chair, desk with chair and flat screen TV with DVD player. It also had a dressing room. large closet with refrigerator, and a large bathroom...

This was our choice to stay fit the duration of our honeymoon and what influenced my decision was the near perfect reviews and the ravings regarding breakfast. The bar was set high before we arrived. All our expectations were grossly overachieved. No need to continue to rave, just go and experience yourself, you'll be glad you did
