English: Great Hotel, friendly staff, super good location. Literally 200 meter from the beach. Clean rooms, the staff was wearing mask all the time. They even let me park my car for a few hours after my check out to enjoy the beach for a rest of that day. Great hotel for family with kids o couples, super quiet. A had a small issue with one of my room and they fix it righ away. High recommend.

I stayed here at the Dolphin for the first time and I loved it! One of the best swim pools I have ever swam in! The room was perfect, very sparkling clean and comfortable! The housekeeping staff was wonderful! very kind, caring, and hard working! The pool was so clean and nice and heated. The whole grounds were very well maintained and clean! Can't wait to return here!

The sewage smelling water coming out of a work hole in the parking lot was the first red flag but we were meeting an old friend so we went in anyways . Then we were told only one car ( at a $10 and change extra charge ) per room . But were told they had parking across the street we could use . Talking to someone who had parked over there it was $40 a night to park in a restaurant parking lot . So we decided to get a room . The room seemed clean but had the old smell and the carpet ... well just look at the pic ... after the first night we found that the sliding balcony door had no lock but we only had one more day . The pool was way over crowded and the loud latino music kept us away from there . It did have a nice outside bar area but it was obvious that the bar maid really didn't want to be there and I was told made very weak drinks for there price . We won't be back ...

Thanks for writing a review of our property, though I don't know what we are expected to do about completing work on our grease trap that is required by the city. The smell is only detectable when you are in the parking lot near the trap, not when you are in the lobby, guest rooms, pool area, etc. Every single comparable property on St. Pete Beach has at least a resort fee or parking charge of $15.00 a night and all properties only guarantee one parking spot per room. We are especially strict with parking since the work we are doing in our parking lot has taken up about 12 parking spots. We need to make sure that everyone that books a room has space to park, which is why we can't allow multiple cars per room when we are busy. I looked at the carpet pictures very closely and only saw clean carpet. I'm not sure if you were trying to comment on the style of the carpet, but I didn't see anything physically wrong in the picture. Sliding glass door locks do sometimes fail due to the salt air rusting them out, however every single room with a slider has an added bar at the bottom of the sliding glass door keeping the door closed when engaged even if the lock isn't working. We have extra locks in stock in maintenance and change them whenever they are reported to us or noticed by housekeeping/inspectors. We would have appreciated it if you would have let us know, even when leaving so that we had your room number and could fix or replace the lock. Our pricing on drinks is in line with the other beach properties in the area and we do not underpour. There is literally no incentive for the bartenders to do so since it would greatly affect their tips. It is even clear in your review that you didn't order a drink and find it weak, but that you were told the drinks were weak by someone else and yet included it in the review. I find it odd that you stayed with us for multiple nights and didn't mention any of these issues until after you left. We had no way to help make your stay any better and we truly wish you had given us that opportunity.

When I reserved the room it stated my room had a balcony front beach view and I didn't also it never stated I would be charged $10 a night for parking. The staff were horribly rude and the place has an old smell to it. My husband is disabled no accommodation made for him. I am extremely disappointed with this place. Never again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do have ADA rooms that are available to be booked or requested when you book. They are limited, though, so we highly suggest calling to see if they are available ahead of time. It is hard to make such an accommodation at the last moment when we are very busy. Our parking fee is noted on every single site, including the homepage of our website. We do this because we want to be as transparent as possible about the fee. We do not want to trick anyone about what they will be paying to stay with us. If you did book a Deluxe Beachfront room, all of these rooms have either a private patio or balcony. This is the only room category that we describe as having a balcony. I do not know if there was a clerk error when you checked in or if you booked a different category than you thought, but I am sorry you didn't get the room you were expecting. We truly strive to make every stay a positive one and will continue working hard to achieve that goal.

This was our 3rd time staying here. We loved it previously. Ill start with the Pros: location, friendly & accommodating staff., great outdoor bar with great food. Con: The constant smell of people smoking marijuana in the hotel. Not a good atmosphere for my children. It wasnt once or twice or just a quick breeze, it was all week long and so heavy that we had to buy air freshners at publix to put in front of our air conditioner. We will not be returning for another visit and will have to find a new place to stay that is more appropriate for families.

Thank you very much for your review and for being a repeat guest. I am happy to hear that you have enjoyed previous stays, but wish your most recent stay hadn't been negatively impacted by people smoking at the hotel. We do our best to stop such behavior from taking place in or around guest rooms, but it is difficult. Anytime we have evidence of a guest smoking in his or her room, we do charge a minimum of a $250.00 cleaning fee to discourage such behavior because we strive to be a very family friendly property. We do hope you will consider giving us another chance in the future, but understand if you decide to stay elsewhere on St. Pete Beach. It is likely that you will encounter similar situations no matter where you end up staying, though.
