I would say my stay here was average. There were some things I loved and some things I didn’t enjoy.

1. Location was perfect. Right in the heart of SPB and also just a short walk to the beach. This is on the gulf side of Gulf Blvd so you don’t have to cross any streets to get to the beach!
2. 2 Pools! They’re right next to each other but it was nice because it seemed like there was always room.
3. They had floats, noodles, water toys, beach toys that you could use. This would be very helpful if you were traveling and didn’t want to drag all this stuff with you!
4. The price is very fair. We stayed 4 nights (M-F) and paid less than $500. I mean you can’t really complain about that.
5. I was alone with my 5 year old and it was nice that the gated court yard area provided some “security” so he had some freedom.
6. They had grills, tables, a gazebo, a smoking area, laundry, and a closet of “extras” in case you needed something. A nice touch I thought!

My biggest issue was the bathroom which definitely needs to be gutted and remodeled. The tub had significant rusting in it and the faucet ran non-stop most likely due to age. The property in general seemed to attract a crowd that was visiting to drink, smoke, and loudly “party”’by the pool which at times was hard to handle with a young kid. I don’t think I would’ve noticed it without a child though; just something to think about if you’re traveling with kids. Parking is also limited so our final day there I didn’t leave at all because I was afraid if I lost my spot, I wouldn’t get another one.

I’m a local so I likely won’t be back as there are so many other options. But if you are looking for something simple and economical and you’re okay with the few cons I listed, then I say book your stay! St. Pete Beach is beautiful!

Great Things:
1) location - right on beach
2) 2 super clean pools
3) In room A/C - amazingly cold
4) King size bed very comfortable
5) nice outdoor, gas grills to cook your own meals
6) very friendly ladies dong the room cleaning

Good things:
1) price
2) kitchenette
3) nice space out back to hang up wet clothes
4) plenty of room for socializing outside
5) lizards and friendly birds

Needs improvement:
1) hide a bed in 13 needs replacing - badly!
2) New window blinds throughout. Courtyard is very bright at night and the blinds do a poor job of blocking out light.
3) Many places where facia boards, guttering, or aluminum trim needs repair / replaced.
4) difficult at times to catch staff in the office. Could definitely use staff at night to help with guest noise after hours.
5) Rooms each need their own broom and dust pan in order to keep up with the sand inevitably comes in and out arch day.

We had an excellent stay here I would definitely stay here again. There are just some minor things that I think could be easily improved and would make this close to that five out of five for all travelers.

Small resort that is in need of some improvements, but overall we loved the atmosphere and the comfy bed. As mentioned in previous reviews, the blinds really need to be replaced!! The small kitchenette is adorable and quaint. I wouldn’t want to make a big meal in it but it’s perfect for making a quick bite to eat. We loved our stay and we will be back!

We arrived at 4:25pm to find our room key taped to the office door (supposedly open until 5pm). We placed our as long as in the room believing that they were safe and went to the store to get ice and snacks. Upon our return, we discovered that the freezer could not be used due to how severe it was frosted over so we place the piece in the sink and sat outside on the walkway in front of our hotel room windows, which I discovered was slightly opened. Before I went inside to see if it would secure and it will not it does not set properly and therefore anyone can open the window and climb into our room at any time. We had thought about going out to dinner but I am glad we decided not to knowing that our room would be unsecure while we were away and I am also glad that we are only here for one night and we will not stay here again.
This is why I usually check the room before I pay, but we happened to get this one site unseen.

To top it off, the entire toilet moves when you sit down, so I just hope it lasts through the night hahaha.

The one plus from the place is a beautiful sunset overlooking the dunes, so if the owners actually put a little bit of TLC into this place it would actually be a very nice place to stay but not at this time. Safety and security is very important to me and when I know that I have a window that I cannot secure, in the office is closed so I can't tell anyone; that is a problem.

Our family of 4 just completed our 2nd 7 night stay at the Miramar Beach Resort. This place is a hidden gem! It's right on the beach with 2 heated pools. We have stayed in 2 different units, a one bedroom and the 2 bedroom apartment. Both are adequate for a family of 4 (the apartment can accommodate several more people as there are 4 queen beds!). The grounds are immaculate and the staff address any issues that arise. Everything is in walking distance, quick uber ride, or drive. Parking is limited but we never had an issue the week we were there (2/15). We have already booked our week for next year and cannot wait. This is a great place for families as the courtyard allows your kids to run around and its separated from the pool by a locking gate (too tall for littles to open). The same people return year after year and it becomes a small community, and welcoming to those who just happen to pop in for a stay. Don't miss out on this hidden gem.

You'll read good reviews, don't believe a word. This place is a sparse, old, worn out, nasty nightmare.
It's incredibly spartan, what's there is worn, old, and filthy. It was very cold the weekend we stayed, we had to spend more time in the room than normal, consequently we were trapped in side. There where NO comforts of any kind. There is an air conditioner in the corner of the room, that had buttons to switch it to warm air. When switched on, something started to burn, the stench was unbearable. The windows would not open, so we opened the front door to let air in, our neighbors in the next unit proceeded to smoke outside our door and we were forced to close it, trapping us inside with the putrid burning stench.
This place isn't habitable. For. Anyone! Made worse by paying nearly $200 per night.
Do yourself a favor, pass this one up.

The only positive thing I can say about this resort is that the location is really nice. Our room, #34, was awful. There was paint peeling off the wall in the bathroom. The toilet never stopped running. It took 10 minutes for the hot water to come in the shower. The outside of the dishwasher was rusted. The couch and chair in the sitting area of the room was so filthy that we didn’t dare sit on it. I wish I had taken pictures. This place is a dump and the fact that they are charging almost $200 a night is criminal. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to stay somewhere else.

Wow where do I even begin… this place is the true definition of a dump - should be classified as a 1 star motel. Apparently they are closing at the end of the month for renovations but shame on the owner for even keeping it open this long. It is so run down. Towels were stained and smelt sour, cracks in the floor, holes in the doors and walls, pool was not cleaned THE ENTIRE TIME we stayed there. We asked the maintenance man if it was going to be cleaned and he just shrugged and said “I don’t know if anyone is coming”. Whatever that meant. There was dirt and sand inside the pool, filthy. The ice maker did not work, we were given zero supplies, had to ask for toilet paper, we found roaches in the room. The building itself is falling apart and just filthy. The amount they charge is a disgrace for a place like this. You ask for the managers number and it just takes you to the Miramar voicemail. Absolutely ridiculous.

Do not go here. It is horrible, outdated & dirty w/ many pieces of broken furniture. The management is horrible and tried offering a new room in even worse condition. When stated it was unacceptable, they refused to give any refund. When we reached out to our booking agent, they contacted the hotel directly and because the hotel found out we reached out to our travel booking, they blocked us from everything else. So we had to pay for a room that we didn't stay at. The pictures of the property are misleading. Check-In is at 3pm but the office closes at 4pm and no one is helpful.

This is NO resort! It's a run down, poorly maintained motel that needs total renovation. Rust and mold in bathrooms. Bath towels are dingy and cheap. Rust, paint chips, and lumpy beds. Outside lights shine brightly in rooms at night. Blinds were broken with pieces missing. The best features is the nicely maintained courtyard with tables and chairs and covered gazebo area. Of course nothing beats the beautiful sands of St. Pete Beach!

I called the Miramar today to confirm our reservation and asked this exact question. This is the answer I recieved: The buildings are being torn down and a 5 story buildling will be built on the location. I asked when this is happening and he replied at the end of 2021 or beginning of 2022. So the Miramar as we know it is going to be a memory very soon :(

We didn’t stay in it, but it looked like you could stand outside on the stairs if you wanted to be outside for sunset. Also, there’s a large picture window facing the Gulf.
