Absolutely HORRIBLE avoid. Hotel is under new management and completely understaffed and the staff that worked there are RUDE. I can’t express how disappointed I am that I stayed there. AVOID AVOID!!!
This is a beautiful hotel, clean, great service and great location, resturaunt food delicious..we loved our waiter Luke.. The staff, is kind, courteous, attentive. Great amenities..the cons, the pool was closed twice during our stay for special events, a wedding, that's lovely but not fair to hotel guests. Also no rollaway beds we were a family of four so 4 grown adults ...we had to share beds. Would definitely stay here again.. Just lovely!
Hotel Zamora was recommended to us for it’s rooftop sunsets, and it did not disappoint. The view was amazing. But it wasn’t just about the view. They also offer a full bar with appetizers and live music to boot! We had a beautifully romantic start to our evening. Thank you, Zamora. We’ll definitely be back!
I just wanted to thank Jacqueline, Carly, Joel and so many others at Hotel Zamora for making my daughter’s wedding so beautiful and magical. Their professionalism went above and beyond any expectations I had. Jacqueline’s experience made the wedding planning process a joy. We also can’t forget to thank Al and his group in the valet area that every guest had only wonderful comments about. Our guests checked in with champagne to greet them and the wedding weekend did not disappoint. We all highly recommend Hotel Zamora as the answer to a bride and grooms dream wedding
We planned a peaceful birthday celebration trip that turned into a sleepless nightmare for room 306B. At around 9:45, a guy with a big shop vac decides to vacuum directly across the hall. At around 10pm, the young people next to us in Room 306A and people in the hall decided to start a screaming fight. Slamming doors, and screaming at each other until around 11pm, at which time there was more door slamming. Then around 2am the folks on the other side of us decided to turn on their bathroom fan, which loudly vibrates into our room. Then around 4:30 AM the women in 306A gets up, more noise and then blows her hair dry. Clear as a bell as if it were in our room. So say the walls here are paper thin, is a massive understatement. Then we’ll go on the the amenities. Need to plug in your cell phone or laptop? Lots of luck. There are no outlets near any surface. Be prepared to sit on the floor with it while it charges near the room’s air filter or high on a wall with nothing around it. It advertises a coffee maker in your room, be prepared to share the 2 creamers they leave you along with a single packet of sugar and artificial sweetener but since only one of the 4 teeny tiny coffee pods is actually regular coffee and not decaf, you might not want to bother. On to the bedding. The comforter is sheet thickness, so be prepared to ask for a blanket. Oh and talking about linens, 2 bath towels are all you’re getting. Need a towel for your hair, use the washcloths. Want to try he lobby coffee? Dishwater, although there’s an abundance of creamers etc there, so stock up for your room for your tiny cups of decaf. Need to take a hot shower quickly? Start running the water a few minutes before while you finish your dishwater coffee. Oh and only one side the of double closet has hanger lol. On our list of the worst stays ever. Oh and if you need things out of your car, you’ll need to wait for the valet. Oh and one more thing, you’ll hear the music rocking in the bar, until late so bring ear plugs. Oh and if you need to know which elevator to get to your room, get out a compass but the people at the desk tell you nothing while you’re checking in. Only good thing was that they did get a blanket to our room when we asked for it. Oh and the phone doesn’t work.…
Stayed at Hotel Zamora in early February for 3 nights in a room with a balcony, spa tub, mini frig and espresso machine. Our 3rd floor balcony had a limited view of St Pete Beach, but the traffic below on Gulf Blvd was a bit noisy at times when sitting outside. We still enjoyed having, but I would opt for the other side of the hotel, where you have an inter-coastal water view and more peace and quiet. The room was very spacious, with a large bathroom, spa tub, double sinks and nice walk-in shower. Rooms were cleaned daily and new towels were provided. The hotel also leaves 2 water bottles in your room every day, which were helpful to take on our beach walks. The beach access we used was directly across the street. We enjoyed eating fantastic Cuban breakfast sandwiches, bloody mary's & mimosa's and avocado toast with poached eggs on the deck at the Castillo Restaurant. The home fries are great too! The grouper sandwich, fries and cocktails poolside were especially delicious! The pool area was nice, with a view of the inter-coastal water way and docks. It had a decent size pool and hot tub, but we noticed they allow on-guests to use the facilities, so at one point chairs in the sun were limited. We did not take advantage of the kayaks or paddle-boards, since it was too windy. We liked that they supplied coffee and fruit-infused water in the lobby and by the pool almost all day. The roof top area had great views, but the bar was not open when we were there during the day. I think they were preparing for a wedding that evening? Denny at the front desk was extremely helpful and all staff were pleasant. I can't recall the man at the lower level parking area, who also worked with helping with pool chairs, but he was friendly and also very helpful. My husband used the facility gym, which had ample machines for the size of the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a higher end boutique type of hotel with great service. Although it isn't directly on the beach, we were very happy with the amenities, rooms, water views and staff at Hotel Zamora. …
Best Time ever! Took a little staycation with my bf and sister in St. Pete. We must say best hotel ever! Even though it rained the entire weekend best staycation ever.. I must say that Randy made the entire experience phenomenal. One minute he's bartending at the pool and 10 minutes later he's changing the light bulb on the roof. UNBELIEVABLE! The entire staff for that matter was pretty incredible. The overnight lady at the front desk think her name was Shannon, was so sweet and always greeted us with the biggest smile whether it was 10:00 pm or 6am. Absolutely love this hotel can't wait to come back
The hotel itself is beautiful. Just as represented by the pictures. The staff was friendly and helpful. Alfred over valet was amazing (top notch). The rooms, the pool, restaurant and staff were all exceptional. Will definitely stay again.
They say first impressions are everything and Jeff certainly set the stage for our stay. His professional but approachable demeanor was just what we needed to trust that our car would be taken care. Al clearly takes care of his people and it trickles down into staff. Overall, we had a great stay. Thanks Zamora!
First, we stayed here because they accept pets, although the pet fee at $195 was outrageous. Reasonably clean. The rooms were very spacious and I loved having the 2 room suite. We could leave the dogs in the bedroom with the TV on and they couldn't hear anything in the hallway so we could go and enjoy a dip in the pretty salt water pool. Gorgeous waterfront dining with probably the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had.
