First, I've been staying at the Sirata for 20+ years. My family owns a condo next door and we've been doing family functions at this "resort" for as long as I can remember. Every year it seems to be getting worse. My wife and twin 9-year-olds arrived Thursday and we booked a King Suite Oceanfront with a kitchen. I was very specific when I booked because we've stayed there so many times. Upon our arrival at 3:15 pm, we were greeted by a guard gate attendee who came literally 12" from my car window with no mask on to greet us. I immediately placed my hand up thinking he would get the hint that I did NOT want him that close, but he never caught on. We waited in line for 40 MINUTES while 2 front desk employees struggled to keep up with the guests arriving. We were told our room wasn't ready and we would receive a text when it was ready. We were also told we wouldn't have to wait in the line again. Fast forward to 4:15 and still no text. My wife heads to the front desk and stands about 10 feet from the desk. The young man behind the counter asks if we received a text? We said not yet but it's after 4. He then replied, sarcastically "that doesn't mean your room is ready, that just means that we START checking people in at 4". Seriously? Then he tries to explain its because of Covid. I ask to speak with a manager and amazingly our room was ready just like that. We get to the room in building 1 on the 6th floor and wouldn't you know it, not a single housekeeping cart or person on the whole floor. The room had probably been ready for a while. The "kitchen" was a small fridge that was frozen solid with a microwave. No silverware, no bowls, no plates, no toaster.......When I called down they said it was because of COVID. Catching the trend here? COVID was the reason for everything at the hotel. I receive a text message asking how the room is and I explained how we specifically requested a kitchenette and this wasn't ok. The person texting says they are going to PULL the TAPES and listen to my reservation. I encouraged it and said I'm looking forward to hearing it. I've attached a pic. Never heard another word......Meanwhile we had a ton of food and drinks that needed a home........ Attached are the photos from the sheets and comforter. Stains everywhere and holes in the sheets. Maintenance had to come up twice and replace batteries in remote controls. AC in our Master room was 10 degrees warmer than the living room where my kids were sleeping. On Friday am, I walked down to the front desk and there was no manager on the property. I informed the front desk that our room was hot and my kid's room was freezing. About 3 hours later a tech comes up and shoots the temp and says nothing is wrong and leaves. The following two nights, the same exact thing. Kids were freezing and Mommy and Daddy were sweating. Saturday night was our last night. We went to bed around 11 and woke up to loud music and partying at 340 am. Then the kids woke up as well. It continued for about 20-30 minutes before security finally shut it down. In the manager's defense, how weak it might be..........He called and left a voicemail for me Saturday saying they've changed the sheets. Then Sunday he texted me saying he's made an adjustment to our bill. I'm not sure what it was, maybe like 100 bucks off our 1200 dollar stay. The clientele is a whole other story. We paid over 300 dollars a night but clearly they drop the prices to fill the hotel when it's not booked. There were people smoked joints sitting outside their rooms and literally trashing the place. If you plan on taking your kids here, DON'T. The level of service has gone totally downhill as well as the hotel. It's honestly sad to see because we have so many great memories here. We will book somewhere else on our next trip up.

My daughter loves it here. This is where she chooses to celebrate her birthday every year. A big thanks to Brandon and the nice ladies he works the pool bar with for always making it extra special. We will be back soon.

Very old and not well maintained. There are stains on the sheets and towels. The tub is wobbly that I thought it would crack any time. It feels more like a motel. The AC works well though. There's also a dehumidifier in the room so that helps. The only good thing about this place is its location. Right on the beach!! And the beach is beautiful!!!

My Husband and I visited the Sirata this past weekend to celebrate his birthday. It was our first stay and we were very pleased. We came with another couple and shared a suite. The room beds were some of the most comfortable we had ever stayed in and the view was unbeatable. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and listening to music while watching the sunset/sunrise and seeing the ocean view. Check in and out was easy and quick. The staff up front was very courteous and helpful. We had breakfast at the onsite restaurant the Compass Grille and enjoyed our food. The drinks at both pool bars were tasty. We also had apps from Harry's- the pretzel crusted cheese curds were a fav! We loved having the option of two pools and the beach being easy access with the chairs was a plus! Thank you Sirata for a celebration done right! We appreciate the hospitality and service! Can't wait to come back with our kids!

We live in the Tampa area and always look to the Sirata when we want to spend a night or two on the beach. I have stayed here at least a dozen times or so, and have never had a bad experience. The manager was able to upgrade the room for a small difference in price to a king suite on this most recent stay. I realize you can have a bad experience anywhere, and I have read some of the negative reviews here, but like I said - I've stayed here at least a dozen times and not one bad experience. I will continue to come back.
