Detailed Reviews
I went for a week with myself and my dog. This place exceeded all my expectations. I have a very well behaved, but active dog that is best left off leash. With good behavior, he was allowed to roam free around the resort and they were SO nice to him, spoiling him with treats and toys. 10 STARS FOR DOG FRIENDLY!!! The staff provided me with beach chairs and an umbrella upon request, and the housekeeping was very good. Funny thing is, I didn't need the chair and umbrella because they have chairs near the beach that sit in the shade of a GORGEOUS sea grape tree. Imagine spending a full day on the beach without having to carry anything (chair, cooler, towels, umbrella, toys) because if you need anything you can walk right back to your room. This place is laid back, attentive, personable, and makes me feel like I found a hidden gem.

Loving this place! Fell upon it last month when in area on business. The dog beach is what attracted me. I checked it out online when I was faced with a winter up north because my new Sarasota condo had construction delays due to covid.
As a widow with an active schnauzer this resort is perfect. Priced right, funky cottages, clean, friendly female staff. Quiet at night, safe, easy to park next to cottage, dog allowed everywhere!
Axel loves it, resident dog Jake might be a bit of a treat hound, but is a luv. Atticus our chihuahua neighbor is beyond cute and hangs out at the office in the sunshine while his mom is at work.
Morning coffee on the water, afternoon at the private beach, Axel napping in the AC a few steps away, then cocktails on the swing and a quick off leash dog romp on the dog beach with the other pups before dinner.
I will return. Everything I have asked for and needed Was taken care of.
Very responsive staff on site. Old Florida beach side style. Comfortable and homey. Cottage C. One bedroom, comfy king bed. Modern living room furniture. Kitchen clean, when we needed a few more things they provided in minutes….wine glasses….cookie sheet…
Relaxing and easy. We feel like it is our own place as it is so quiet!

We stayed in adjacent bungalows bordering the roadway but steps from the beach with a water view from the porch. It was ideal for our family with my adult son and wife and dog and two older adults with dogs. It is one level with convenient parking. The beach is private and dog friendly. The area is walkable with side walk on the gulf side and inlet side. The cottage had one bedroom and bath. It is fully equipped. While it has all the amenities but things are pretty shop worn. The fridge is rusty and tub could use refinishing. We saw a roach so there might have been some more . The staff was so accommodating I’m sure they sprayed after I reported seeing a roach. We booked for the next season. Pretty perfect for our needs

Well we had lived on that side of FL for years and my wife always wanted to stay here, so booked for the holiday weekend. First thing that we noticed was a nasty smell when we entered the unit (F). Assuming it was dog urine. wouldn't think people would do that. Discussed with my wife and being a holiday weekend couldn't get out of it (cancellation policy) and couldn't get any other place. so dealt with it. Then the neighbor decided to argue and fight loud enough to hear them for a couple days. Pricey for what you get, wrote the management. got crickets. would think they'd step up and refund some of what I paid but again crickets. Just nothing to return for and wouldn't recommend for the $$$$ and the pissy smell.

Response from Islands End, General Manager at Island's End Resort

Received your email late yesterday, and seeing as we take these things VERY seriously, I wanted people to go check the room before I responded. I would like to point out that our office closes at 4:30PM and reopens at 8:30AM. We received your email at 4:15PM and your review was posted at 8:02AM so I don't think it is fair to say you received "crickets". I responded to your email this morning. As we discussed at length in the email, I do not believe it was the rugs. They are washed between guests, except for the living room one. We believe the smell is from the kitchen sink and have taken measures to remedy it. I do wish you had spoken with us the first or second day of your stay. We could have had housekeeping come in or even offer to move you to another room, but we weren't given the opportunity to fix the problem during your stay. We would have also happily talked to your neighbors and asked them to quiet down. Or, even talk to us prior to leaving. We can't fix what we don't know is broken. I have emailed you suggested solutions and I hope to hear back from you. We never like to have disappointed guests.

Thank-you so much for sharing your piece of paradise. My wife and I spent 3 days and nights in room F, the cottage with the greatest view of the jetty and ships that pass under the skyway bridge. Pasagrille beach is all you need for great rest and relaxation!! terry and karren

We love spending time in this classic Florida style resort. Where friends from all over meet up annually. This is our fourth year and we will continue to stay here. It’s a quiet area at the tip of St Petes Beach where the gulf meets the bay. The views, the breeze, and hospitality will keep us coming back.

This was our six or seventh visit to Islands End. The location is super convenient to the beach and restaurants. We barely drive anywhere once we settle in. While there were other guests, we rarely ran into anyone. And it’s always good to hang with the resident dog, Jake. We may be back this upcoming January or February. The escape from the grey Ohio winter was as usual refreshing.

Absolute perfect beach getaway. If you want trendy and modern chic try somewhere else but if you want an old Florida whimsical beachy vibe this is the place for you. I went with my parents and their older dog and it was incredible. Dogs are treated as real guests and are welcome everywhere . Super clean and the managers beyond helpful. Walking distance to shops and restaurants it truly is an escape. Park the car and enjoy....................We will definitely be back. Thank you.

This was our first trip to the Islands End. We had made numerous trips to St Pete Beach and seen the Inn, but never could match our time with availability. They had a cancellation, and we were able to stay there. We had a great time... very friendly staff, beautiful location. Thanks for a great visit!

There is a solar heater attached to the pool.
We don't have availability for those dates.
There is a big sand beach behind the resort. The current can be very strong, so swim with caution.
There is a sand beach close by. The current is very strong right at then end where two waterways meet, so I advise caution. The public beach is less than a minute walk away.
We do have one room open for that night. It has a king bed and queen sleeper sofa for $242 plus tax.
