Arrived late in the afternoon. Jamie was an excellent host. Room was well appointed, could have been a bit larger especially the bathroom. Great community. Will definitely be back for a longer stay. Just a picture perfect island on Florida's forgotten coast.

I usually don't subscribe to conspiracy theories, but, in this case, I can't come up with a better explanation. St. George Island is a beautiful, unspoiled beach on Florida's "forgotten coast", most of which is dotted with 1-2 story houses, some modest, others quite opulent. No high rises, no water slides, just miles of beautiful beach. The eastern third of... More

Coming from the Hospitality Industry myself- I have certain things I look for-Cleanliness, Friendly Staff and Location are top of my list. The St George Inn definitely has these three! We were lucky enough to get a 3rd floor suite that looked out over the bay! It was so relaxing! If you are looking for a resort-this is not it-but... More

I got this through hotels.con for $39 a night. It's DEFINITELY a 2 star hotel/B&B-ish (not always someone at the front desk but reachable by phone on the premises). The furniture and bedding was a little tired. The common areas are in about the same shape. My room was clean and everything worked properly but as I said it's a... More

We wanted a romantic spot to spend the holiday. He wanted to camp. I wanted a nice hotel. The room was over priced for what it was. •The furnishings looked like 1980's garage sale cast offs •There was a picture missing from above the bed with the nails and old nail holes exposed. •The bed felt like sleeping on a... The room that you were staying in, Dunes, is currently being completely remodeled. We are in the process of remodeling our Inn from top to bottom, both inside and out. We are correcting all of the decor issues that you mentioned in your review. I truly regret that you left as unhappy as you did, I wish you had mentioned... More

My Sister-in-Law booked this quaint little Inn for my 2 nephews, her, & me over the Apalachicola Seafood 2015 Weekend. I have to say this inn has one of the most friendliest and helpful staff I have every encountered. If you are looking for fancy, this is not the place, but if you want creature comforts and down home feeling,... More

It was "cozy". Wasn't as big as we thought it would be. It was clean. Staff was very nice. Quiet I think we were the only ones there since it is off-season. St. George Island was very nice. We were close to the lighthouse.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We are working diligently during this slow season to redo many bathrooms (replace vinyl floors with ceramic tiles or solid hard-pine; replace vanity and shower/tubs as needed). We also are repainting several rooms. Furthermore, we have just added this week a little sun deck (morning sun only :-)). All of this... More

We traveled to the island to camp at the St. George Island State Park. Due to our drive taking much longer than we expected, we arrived well after dark in the pouring rain to find the gate to the state park closed and us with no code to get in. I Googled hotels on SGI and the Inn was the... More

Thanks for taking the time to write this long detailed (and complimentary) report. We loved having you in-house as well. Let me answer the two points needing attention: 1. Bathrooms: even though some of our bathrooms have been renovated, several need some "rehab". We are working on them as I write this answer. We are getting rid of the old... More

I have to say a few words about how well I was taken care of this past weekend at the St George Inn, thanks to Jamie and her staff. Upon checking in, Jamie at registration let me know that she was all about making sure my stay was memorable and perfect, and it was. She attended to our every need... More
