My 6 y/o daughter had a bike accident right out front, and we stopped in to see if they had a bandaid. Hannah was working the front desk and was the kindest person I may have ever met! She came to the rescue with bandaids and went out of her way to make my daughter feel so much better. If the rest of the staff is anything like Hannah, you'll be in good hands! We will be recommending Best Western to all of our friends and family.

We could not be happier with this motel! We initially chose it because it has a couple of suites with full kitchens and we wanted something fully equipped (and dog friendly) for a few days en route to an Airbnb. But when we called with a couple of questions, Virginia was so helpful and friendly that we decided to forego the Airbnb and book there the whole time. We made the right decision! The suite is modern, roomy, and easily as nice as any Airbnb condo... but cheaper and with free breakfasts and housekeeping. There are only two suites, both with the same square footage, one with one bedroom and one with two. We picked the one bedroom one, room 303. In lieu of the second bedroom we got a nice eat in kitchen, a huge living room, and even a balcony with lounge chairs and a small dining table. The room is an absolute bargain; if it's available you should snatch it up. (A quick glance at one of the standard rooms indicated that they are probably of similar quality but of course much smaller.) The location is a block from the beach, a short walk to numerous restaurants and bars, a 5-minute drive to a Publix supermarket, and 15 minutes from historic St Augustine. The free breakfast is on the upper end of what you might expect from a Hampton Inn or Best Western level property, which is to say not gourmet but more than just a continental breakfast. And Virginia and the staff were great. I am not one to post gushing reviews, and don't hesitate to post negative ones when warranted, but this Best Western simply does everything right. Highly recommended.

We stayed in three hotels during this vacation and this hotel was our least favorite.
Check-in was easy. The front desk staff are nice. This hotel is in a great location if the beach is your focus. The rooms are marginal.
Our room was not very clean. There was sand and hair in the bathroom from prior occupants. The air conditioner is hard to regulate,; making the room warm or ice cold most of the time.
Due to COVID, the hotel does not have daily maid service. The rooms have no towel racks or hooks, so daily towel exchange is necessary.
Bring a beach location, I would have expected this hotel to have hooks in the shower or some way to dry swimsuits- they do not.

Dark - room only had two lamps, one light bulb each, no overhead light. NO PLUG IN by the desk. Toilet seat so low my husband couldn't sit down without soaking his genitals. Day and night dogs barking down the hall. Dirty floors. Maid carts driving past the room all day, never stopping to clean the room. Breakfast room over-crowded, not a great selection, no drinking water available. Desk clerks bordering on surly; not warm or charming. Cleaning staff seemed de-moralized (i.e. over-worked, under-paid). Many not speaking English. We stayed here for five days over Christmas and were disappointed. Not good value for the amount of money paid. Not Best Western usual standard of care. Again, other than location near the beach, for the money there’s not much good to say.

I booked this hotel for myself and an 8 lb chiweenie. I had called another local BW that had a pet fee of $30. I did not know that BW was a franchise. When I arrived, the pet fee was $40 with a non-refundable deposit of $75 that is not posted on the website. Since it was too late to cancel because I would have lost the $166 hotel cost, I agreed. I appealed to waive and was given a sheet to approve costs. This was not on it so I thought it was waived. The receipt the next day included the cost. At this hotel, a $166 cost turned into $322 for the worst room in the building. Adjacent to the cleaning/maintenance room and the back was adjacent to the kitchen of a large restaurant next door. Things got poppin at 7 a.m. I called BW customer service and they called this hotel to justify the $75 non-refundable. The hotel said, and get ready for this, that they had to use special ozone machine to clean the air! Scam response. Yeah, for an 8 lb chiweenie that stayed for one night. We were not even in the room for 8 hours of the 21 hours. A deposit is great, for any amount, but a non-refundable and a bold face lie is crazy. Dog owners run and other guests should avoid room 111. This dog has stayed in probably 100 room nights elsewhere across the US with no issues!

I had very high hopes for this hotel based on other's reviews, but unfortunately we were left highly disappointed. I spent a lot of time researching hotels in the Saint Augustine Beach area and this hotel seemed to have some of the best reviews, being rated #4 out of 11 hotels in the Saint Augustine Beach area, even having a Traveler's Choice 2022 award, but I am still very puzzled on how this hotel has received such high ratings. I had called a few hours prior to our arrival and was told by the front desk that there was a room ready for us, so we could check in at anytime, we headed straight to the hotel and the staff was very friendly. We were given a room on the bottom floor - per our request since we were traveling with young children. The first room we were given had such a terrible odor (very musty), we asked if we could get a different room, which I have never done before, and the staff was very attentive and accommodating to our request. We were given a new room immediately, on the second floor. After getting to our settled into our second room, there was not a terrible odor, but the room was very dirty. We ended up taking the bathroom wash cloths and wiping down the floors, twice during our two night stay, due to the dirtiness of the hotel. You can tell the hotel has undergone some recent "updates" to the rooms, however, I would describe the quality of the updates as extremely poor. They have basically painted over the imperfections. The room itself was very small. The hotel door stuck and was difficult to open, due to the door frame being painted, you could also see that the outside door did not close all the way and there was a small gap around the door frame. The bathroom door also stuck to the frame and was very difficult to close. The hotel was undergoing construction during the time of our stay, which was not communicated to us prior to our arrival, there was debris everywhere and the construction itself was very noisy, the construction crew had parts of the stairs blocked off as we were trying to get to our rooms and areas of the parking lot were blocked off at times, too. The construction crews were tearing away parts of the building and throwing large pieces from the top floor onto the pavement below during the daytime hours. I just wish this would have been communicated to us when we booked our hotel room or prior to our arrival. The pool was very dirty, so we opted not to swim in it and the hot tub was closed. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of options to chose from. The hotel is a very short walk to the beach, just across the road. I am not normally one to complain, but I do not want anyone else to make the same mistake as we did, for the price, I would stay at the Marriott down the road.

We have stayed at hundreds of hotels big and small over the years. This is nothing exceptional. The positives: clean property and room, large HDTV, comfortable bed, close to many eating places, good room and bath lighting, good water pressure, quiet room, guest laundry(though there is only 1 washer and dryer located outside the rooms). The negatives: young black girl who checked us in seemed to have an attitude like we were interrupting her personal time, wifi was weak, tap water has a strong sulfur aftertaste, light above tub was not working, refrigerator in room did not work, breakfast was very mediocre, a couple light switches in room didn’t work. Overall, OK stay for overnight.

It was a standard Best Western with a modern room and a big TV. The location was very good and close to the sea (across the street) and just a few miles from the old town Saint Augustine. The hotel does not have an elevator, so you have to carry all your stuff up the stairs or to book a downstairs room. Breakfast is American, the breakfastroom was very small... Overall a nice hotel.

In close proximity to the beach and the beautiful town of St. Augustine. Convenient parking. The rooms are nice and bright and of a standard size. Cleanliness was pretty good. The breakfast room is small and there is not much choice, in any case the basic things for a breakfast are there. All in all I would say a good hotel. Value for money I would say is decent.

We stayed in the two room suite. It was massive! The pictures on the website do not do this suite justice. The living room area has a full couch, loveseat, and single chair along with a table with four chairs. There was lots of extra room for the kids to play. The bedrooms were large. The bathroom was big. It only had a shower however the shower was quite roomy with two shower heads. The kitchen area was small and comes stocked with the essentials. This suite has a floor all to itself on top of the main office. It has a partial view of the ocean from the living room area.

Upon check-in at 3, the room was not quite ready. We had an event to attend and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our party in order to get ready. The front desk staff were absolutely amazing.

The beach is a quick walk across the street. It took us about two minutes to have our toes in the sand.

There are several great restaurants within walking distance.

It's a beautiful place. We were on the second floor in a suite that they upgraded us to. We had to go up outside stairways to get to second floor and then a few steps up to the suite. The second floor on this hotel would not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. However, for those who have no mobility issues, it is a delightful place. There are nice restaurants close by. We walked about 4 blocks to a fish restaurant (recommended by the reception desk). Were happy that we didn't have to get back in our car to go to dinner or have to walk across the street. Would stay there again.
